Lol. There is no adult conversation, yours are stock replies to seem smarter and try to win an argument by belittling with no real substance. Of course there’s always people with more money than me. Like I said, I can walk into a BMW dealership and walk out with a 7 series for cash, but that’s not me. I’m jealous of Tom Brady and Cam Newton, not of someone who doesn’t care about money. I’m old enough to know that the latter are the ones that don’t stay wealthy and the people that emulate them by leasing 70k cars don’t get there.

I’m sure you’ll reply because some people have to have he last word, but I’m good now.

This thread went to hell it seems lol. I'm buying the car myself then I will sell it to Carmax once the title comes in. Oh wait, I leased b/c I couldn't afford it even though it's just a 3rd car for me that I don't need ...

I'm a 10-15 year car guy.  wifes car is 9 years old - just hit 100K

My car will have probably 250K on it before i get rid of it

Ugh, sure, never actually owning a car via leasing isn’t throwing money away? Look at current Jetta leases on their cheapest model. $129 per month for 24 months. OP just got hit with $1800 to sell it, which means his monthly payments were actually 75% more than he thought.

If you look at my posts, I tend to by a couple year used (still plenty of warranty) and drive the car for a few years without payments. The last three cars I’ve purchased were Toyotas/Lexus. Great at holding value. I have one payment right now on a car with 35k miles and two cars with no payments and barely 100k miles. I’m sure I’ll pay a lot less overall than always leasing and always paying. I also sell my cars myself. On the last three I sold, I got $8k total over trade in quotes.

If you guys love leasing, have at it.

There is no bump in the monthly cost.  He didn't read the fine print and thought he could get over by double closing.  I am guessing he didn't flip so he didn't double dipped on the tax.

Yep, I agree, but that not reading turned the entire 24 month lease into something a lot more expensive than he though.

Seriously? I don’t care. I’ve never been reported and don’t report anyone. I barely hang around much other than any thread I post in while it’s active and the stock thread. Used to post a lot more when I still did fantasy. Candy ###.
