VY to MIA? (1 Viewer)

League sources are reporting that VY is their second choice behind Orton. With Orton taking snaps with the first team and Denver apparently playing hardball here, seems like a very real possibility since VY will be a UFA this afternoon. Who win/loses here? Obviously quite a different player from Orton.

I think VY was horribly over-hyped early on, but now I think he's underrated. He still could be a good NFL QB. Emphasis on "could". He needs to get his head out of his behind and put in the work it takes. In hearing his interviews I've always felt there was a sense of entitlement to him that was hurting him. Maybe being cut like this will be an eye opener for him and he'll put in the time and effort to improve.

I wouldn't mind taking a shot on him as a backup QB for my team. Well, anywhere but Houston or Dallas, as the VY-homers here would turn it into an instant QB controversy.

Totally agree that he could be a good QB...in the right situation. Never heard much about the player environment in MIA. Anyone have any insight? It would be kinda funny to see him and Reggie on the same team.

Come to Philly Vince. We'll revive your career and teach you how to play QB. Then we'll get a mad draft pick for you. We're a damn QB factory.

Would love to see VY in Seattle or as a backup in Philly. I'd hate to see him in Oakland as he needs a more structured enviroment than that, of course that's where he'll probably end up.

He could do well in Miami but Orton's a much better option for them. Much better.

:goodposting: It doesn't hurt than when Eagles QBs get in the game, Reid is such a pass-happy play caller so their stats look good on a per-game basis.

The Dolphins don't need either of those clowns. Give Henne one more shot and if that doesn't work, check out Devlin. If he fails too then they should get someone in the first round next year, not one of those retreads.

 Orton > Young >>>>>>>> Henne

More like Orton > Young = HenneIf you want your favorite team to build a franchise around either of those that's great, but I don't. They're not long term answers and there's no need wasting time with them.

Vince is a winner, Orton is a loser. I'll take the guy who can actually win football games.
Please show your work.
He is 30-17 as a starting NFL QB. I dont care for him but, you can't deny that he wins games.
First of all, the whole W/L is almost as dumb as the "How many Super Bowl Rings does QBX have?" So many factors go into it, it's usually not worth mentioning, so when someone says, "I'll take the guy who wins football games," it loses context.Anyway, Orton's 32-29 as a starter, I believe. That doesn't strike me as a loser. He's the better, more mature leader. I'd take him all day over VY.

I'd agreeOrton has never walked out on his team or quit on his team. Now Orton, sure, every picture has a bottle of Jack Daniels in his hands, but kenny Stabler and Joe Namath were revered for this, right? At least Orton is gonna go to war with his mates.I don't think Young has the mental makeup to handle this NFL gig.....
