Buffalo
George Wilson is doubtful to play as he is still suffering the aftereffects of the stinger he suffered last week. The Bills kept Bryan Scott in his role as the nickel LB last week and used Da’Norris Searcy in the base defense last week (and nickel). Matt Rich Warren is reporting that Wilson still has numbness in his arm, which could keep Searcy in the lineup longer than one week. Spencer Johnson didn’t practice until Friday and is questionable; Chris Kelsay is expected back this week.
Carolina
Dan Connor is questionable, but likely out after not practicing Friday. Jordan Senn got the bulk of the time inside last week, but Jason Williams could see time, too. Jason Phillips is out this week, which again removes any doubt that Omar Gaither will play every down.
Detroit
Lawrence Jackson is questionable, but didn’t practice all week with a thigh injury. Willie Young is also questionable after not practicing with an ankle injury. Either Kyle Vanden Bosch or Ndamukong Suh will get more DE snaps if both players sit.
Cincinnati
Carlos Dunlap was limited all week – hamstring cramp, riiiight – and is questionable to play. Lewis sounded optimistic about him playing on Monday, he looks like a GTD at best today.
Baltimore
Reports on Ray Lewis have been mixed all week. Some have suggested his foot injury could keep him out of action for a month, others have said that he’ll try to play today. Warren Sapp reported this morning that he got a text from Lewis saying he would not play today. Dannell Ellerbee was finally back to full practices late this week and would likely start with Jameel McClain. McClain is likely the every-down linebacker in that scenario, with Brendon Ayanbedejo playing some subpackage snaps. We could also see Tom Zbikowski take more snaps, with Bernard Pollard playing a big nickel type role.
Dallas
Sean Lee struggled with his large splint last week, but had it revised again and hopes to be more effective this week. He played every down, including snaps as the lone ILB in the Cowboys’ dime package last week.
Washington
Perry Riley started over Rocky McIntosh last week and played every down. He will continue in that role today. LaRon Landry is questionable with his chronic Achilles issue. He was able to practice fully last week and played. This week, he’s been limited all week and is listed questionable. He’s considered a GTD, but it’s time to start planning for him to miss multiple games by year’s end. OJ Atogwe is probable, but he was active last week and sat behind Reed Doughty. ETA: Landry WILL NOT play today per Washington Post (link in Post 2).
Jacksonville
Rashean Mathis is out for the season. William Middleton replaces him at corner. Terrence Knighton is out again with an ankle injury.
Cleveland
Usama Young again replaces TJ Ward, who will be out 2-3 more weeks with a foot injury. Jabaal Sheard (thigh) and Jayme Mitchell (chest, ankle) are both probable and practiced fully, but are showing signs of wear after their high early season snap counts. Mitchell was active but didn’t play last week.
Oakland
Rolando McClain is off the injury report. Aaron Curry has been seeing nickel snaps, but the Raiders went back to mostly dime subpackages last week. Michael Huff didn’t practice Friday and is listed questionable with an ankle injury.
Minnesota
Husain Abdullah is out with a concussion. Antoine Winfield is on IR with a fractured clavicle. Asher Allen and Cedric Griffin will start at cornerback. Erin Henderson is questionable and was limited in practice with a hamstring injury. The Vikings are called the injury “slight” which would suggest that he’s on the probable side of 50-50 to play. Whether he’ll be able to play nickel snaps ahead of his brother this week is tough to predict, though.
San Diego
Shaun Phillips remains out with a foot injury. Marcus Gilchrist is doubtful with a hamstring injury. Antonio Garay, listed questionable, is expected to play through a hip injury that cost him snaps last week. Takeo Spikes practiced fully all week; he and Na’il Diggs will likely be the nickel backers today.
Seattle
Kam Chancellor fully practiced all week after last week’s minor concussion and will play today.
Tampa Bay
Tanard Jackson made it through only a limited Friday practice (though some reports suggested he was out there fully) and is questionable to play with a hamstring injury. He seems likely to play. Geno Hayes and Adam Hayward are still rotating at WLB, Mason Foster has remained the lone linebacker in the Bucs’ dime packages.
Tennessee
Dave Ball remains out with a concussion. Barrett Ruud should be back this week after practicing fully on Friday. Last week’s replacement, Colin McCarthy didn’t practice all week with a knee injury. Gerald McRath has a hamstring injury, but practiced fully on Friday and should play. Chris Hope is back, but expected to continue in a minor rotational role at safety, with Jordan Babineaux getting the majority of snaps there.
Atlanta
William Moore remains out with a quad injury.
Philadelphia
DRC is out with an ankle injury. Nate Allen is back from his concussion and will start ahead of Jaiquawn Jarrett. Brandon Graham is listed questionable (knee) but practiced fully Thursday and Friday.
NY Giants
Michael Boley is doubtful to play with a hamstring injury. There will be no single replacement for Boley. Expect Jacquian Williams to get more snaps, but the Giants have been looking for a way to get Mark Herzlich on the field and there are reports that Spencer Paysinger might have a larger coverage role, too. Justin Tuck is back on the injury report with an ankle injury that he suffered in practice on Thursday. He didn’t practice Friday and is questionable, but said he’s not concerned.
Kansas City
Jon McGraw continues to struggle with a shoulder injury. He and Brandon Flowers are questionable, as is Glenn Dorsey.
New England
Brandon Spikes didn’t practice this week and remains out. Dane Fletcher is also out. Gary Guyton is questionable again. He was active last week but didn’t play, with the Patriots rotating Tracy White and Jeff Tarpinian at LB. Patrick Chung sounded optimistic about last week’s game, but didn’t play. He’s been limited in practice this week. He told reporters that he’s working hard to get back, but he’s considered a GTD. Devin McCourty is likely out with a separated shoulder.
