W7 Game Thread - Philadelphia V Tampa Bay (1 Viewer)

eagles first drive: moved the ball well with westy and a good pass to reggie brown then lj smith. next pass went to jason avant and he fumbled, bucs recovered.

bucs first drive: couple runs by caddy, what looked to be a fumble happened, called eagles ball on TB 30. gruden challanges and wins. bucs get a first down then 3 and out. PUNT

Eagles : 1-10 inside their own 20

3-5 : Mcnabb passes to westbrook for what looked to be 12 yards, good pass, westy shoulda caught it and dropped it. PUNT

TB has ball on their 36

 
PHI:1 and 10 - mcnabb passes to reggie brown for 36 yards.

PHI: 1 and 10 - mcnabb passes right to reggie brown INTERCEPTED to juron bolden

TB:1 and 10 - gradkowski trips and drops the ball, picks it up again then drops it again. recovered by gradkowski.

TB:2 and 20 - caddy about to break broken play to the right, sean considine makes a huge stop for -4.

TB: 3 and 24 - pittman on a draw for 10 yards.

TB:4 and 14 - PUNT

 
PHI:1 and 10 - pass incomplete to LJ smith

PHI 2 and 10 - pass complete to Hank baskett for 12 yards or so. very nice grab by baskett.

end of first quarter

 
start of second quarter. (its like 100+ degrees in TB btw)

PHI 1 and 10 - incomplete pass to LJ smith

PHI 2 and 10 - handoff to buckhalter for 6 yads.

PHI 3 and 4 - mcnabb quick slant pass to, who knows, nobody was near it, INTERCEPTED by ronde barber, returned 40 yards for a TD.

 
TB kickoff into Phi endzone, muffed by ryan moats, downed by moats.

PHI 1 and 10: quick out pass to Matt Shoebel for 8 yards

PHI 2 and 10: handoff to buckhalter for 1 yard

PHI 3 and 10: fumbled snap, mcnabb recovers, no gain

PHI 4 and 10: PUNT

 
TB 1 and 10: caddy runs left for 1 yard

TB 2 and 9: gradkowski pass right to alstott for 1 yard

TB 3 and 8: gradkowski pass left to michael clayton for 6 yards

TB 4 and 2: PUNT to PHI 5 yard line

the eagles offense has made 4 huge mistakes already, they have been connecting other then that. Id expect more out of the eagles offense then i would for TB keeping up this good, yet lucky, play up all game. both defenses are playing lights out football so far. TB cant even move the ball and the bucs defense is capitalizing on the eagles mistakes.

PHI 2 and 6: handoff to westbrook for 3 yards to PHI 14.

PHI 3 and 3: draw to westbrook for 22 yards to PHI 36.

PHI 1 and 10: handoff to buckhalter for 10 yards to PHI 46.

PHI 1 and 10: handoff to wstbrook for4 yards to 50 yard line.

PHI 2 and 6: mcnabb pass deep right to reggie brown incomplete. (reggie brown should have caught it, it just went through his hands, pefect pass)

PHI 3 and 6: mcnabb sacked for -4 yards.

PHI 4 and 6: PUNT

 
No offense to jerseys finest but we can get the plays on nfl.com...I'm looking for observations on the players and performances...

 
better then previously. not making many mistakes, but proved he didn't have a strong arm ona deep pass to galloway that he underthrew pretty bad.

mcnabb has looked good in between all of the turnovers. even though there have been 4 already. mcnabb has thrown passes all over the field that were easily catchable that were just dropped by the likes of westy/brown/baskett. im assuming a 2nd half pointspree by the eagles.

the eagles defense has been dominating the bucs in all regards for most of the day.

EDIT: on this last drive before the half, the eagles have flat out dominated the bucs defense. 9 seconds left, 2nd and goal. they made a dumb play passing to lj smith who got stopped at the 1 yard line. clock ran out

after such a horrific first half from the eagles. its only 7-0. even with whats now 5 major mistakes. 2 fumbles, 2 INTs, no points to end the half. eagles 'should' only get better.

they threw a pass underneath to lj smith and he came up a yard short. dumb mistake #5 for the eagles

ronde barber with another INT and he returned it for a TD. Ronde barber now has 2 more tds this year then tiki does. ronde is just having his way with mcnabb today, pass should have been complete though, it looked like greg lewis turned around late for a hook pass and ronde just took advantage of it.

For those watching the game, what's your view of TB's Defense going forward? Even aside from the two INTs returned for TDs, TB seems to be playing great defense from the box score. This just a one-week fluke, or is the TB D have significant value from here on?

 
mcnabb just went through a masterful drive to put up 7 points.

with 3-8 from the 13 or so, mcnabb escaped 3 sacks somehow, got off a pass while falling that almost got intercepted that thomas tapeh caught for a TD.

i think the bucs DST is a solid home team defense that struggles on the road. its an old defense.

galloways had a few looks, bad passes from gradkowski for the most part. that was all in the first half though.TB moved the ball deep into PHI territory and got held to a FG. alot of Caddy on that drive.

Galloway owner, so I'd like tosee him get some looks.But, with the way Caddy's running today, I would not be surprised if this game ends with a 0-0 for Galloway.

Stepped back from center before the snap and blaaaaaaahhhhhhh. Right on old live TV. Yuck.

westbrook is shredding the TB defense on this drive.

Mcnabb just threw up on the field and had to call a timeout. he appears to be fine, just needs some water after runnin so much today.
