Waiver Pickups for Week 7 (1 Viewer)

Rough week for the waiver wire in most non-shallow leagues. I fully planned on dropping Dwayne Bowe for someone, but I think I'll just hold on and hopefully move a few spots up in the waiver order.

Digging deep here..

Tandon Doss

Riley Cooper (as long as Foles plays?)

Nick Foles

Mario Manningham

Rueben Randle (if available. Nicks should be traded)

Kenny Britt (should be traded)

Timothy Wright

Kris Durham (plenty of targets)

Maybe?

Mikel Leshoure (possibly traded)

Austin Collie

Is FBGs already at the point where we are looking a week in the future for pickups? I understand the pre-emptive pickup, but its week 6 dude.

Some of the names being mentioned here are funny. Foles only available in some redrafts. Ridley not available in any but the very shallowest of redraft leagues...not a legit name for discussion in a thread like this.

Names like Riley Cooper belong.

If I grab anyone, I'm probably going to take a shot on Jonathan Stewart, since he should be activated off the PUP list this week.

Ruben Randle is only owned in 51% of Yahoo leagues. This is probably your last week to pick him up with Nicks rumors being traded. The Giants are 0-6 and Nicks is in a contract year. Add Greenbay to the mix now that two of their top receivers went down today and they already had their bye.

Goodwin WR
Good Call

If your team includes KR yardage or bonuses for long TD's, Goodwin could be your guy. He is a big play guy, thru and thru. I wouldn't count on him to save your team but he could be a nice WR3 or FLEX play. Especially is Stevie Jonhson misses significant time.

He is one of the fastest players in the league. He was a legit Olympian in the 2012 London games. I believe he finished 10th overall in the long jump

He ran a 4.27 at the combine. There were reports he put up a 4.16 at Texas. The dude is fast.

Goodwin made the 2012 United States Olympic team in the long jump with a career-best and meet-best mark of 8.33m (27-04.25) at the US Olympic Team Trials, a jump that would have been good enough to win the gold medal at the following Olympics.

Tim Wright.... anything to see here?

Week 3: 1 - 6 yds (2 targets)

Week 4: 5 - 41 yds (6 targets)

Week 5: BYE

Week 6: 7 - 91 yds (not sure yet)

I don't know much about the TB situation, but this rookie is starting to post the numbers but hasn't scored yet. Seems like he has been trending up over the last several weeks. Any Buc homers that can offer some perspective?

If Graham is out for an extended period, then grab Stills and Toon - those targets WILL go somewhere in an offense with Brees as QB.

QBs

Nick Foles - If Vick's still pulling up in the slightest, I'd be shocked to see anyone but Foles take the field. He's had two great back-to-back weeks. I'm betting that Kelly sits Vick another week due to his injury so he can evaluate Foles a little further. If Foles comes out and has another 100+ passer rating game and beats the Boys next week. He'll be hard pressed to be sat. And this is an offense with a lot of weapons, that quite frankly looked much better with Foles under center the last 1.5 weeks than it has with Vick.

Thad Lewis (monitor injury) - Man did he look good, he looked better than Manuel out there. If he can go again this week you know that you have the Bills starter for the next 4-5 weeks easily. And who knows, if he keeps playing like this there could be a QB controversy.

Sam Bradford - Somehow he's putting up tons of points week-to-week. He has 2 (really just 1) down weeks through 6 weeks. Otherwise he's been a QB1 this season.

RBs

Stevan Ridley - If he was for some reason dropped in shallow leagues. People can call this insane but lets face it, the performance he put up yesterday was more than double his overall point total on the season.

Andre Ellington - Will this guy ever stop producing? Said it last week and I'll say it again, he's going to be on championship teams at the end of this season. This is the first week he out-touched Mendy and I'd expect the gap to increase again next week.

Joseph Randle - If Murray will miss time he should see the bulk of the carries.

WRs

Tim Wright - In most leagues he seems to be labeled as a TE/WR but he's getting a lot more snaps and Glennon seems to like throwing to him. Not that Glennon is anything to get excited about, but we can't ignore when a QB latches on to a receiver. And so far Wright has seemed like his second guy after VJax.

Kris Durham - Even when Calvin comes back we may finally be seeing the #2 WR emerge here. Stafford was teammates with him at Georgia. Broyles and Edwards aren't doing anything. Broyles, Edwards and Ogletree combined for seven targets to Durham's 13. There may be something to see here.

Id curb your enthusiasm a bit on Wright. While it's true he's trending in the right direction, lets take a look at the numbers for receivers against the Eagles this year.

Washington - Hankerson 5-80-2

San Diego - Gates 8-124-0, Floyd 5-102-0, Royal 7-90-2

Kansas City - Avery 7-141-0

Denver - Decker 5-88-0, D Thomas 9-86-2, Welker 7-76-2

NY Giants - Nicks 9-142-0, Randle 6-96-2

Tampa - V Jackson 9-114-2, Wright 7-91-0

So they haven't been exactly stopping anyone. Even guys who have struggled recently (Gates, Nicks, VJax) found their groove against Phillys defense. Hankerson, Royal, and Avery haven't done much since. Something to consider.

Any thoughts on Josh Freeman's potential? He may start next week. Nice deep ball to Simpson, opens things up for Rudolph and Jennings, un-stacks the box for AP, or just another Minnesota QB turd waiting to be laid?

How about Arron Dobson. he has the most snaps as a WR for NE yesterday and was in on the 2 WR sets instead of Thompkins who did get the game winning TD though. Seems Kembrell came in more when Amendola got injured. also it was Amendola and Dobson as the main WR's yesterday and not Thompkins.

Aaron Dobson leads Patriots WRs in snaps

Aaron Dobson led Patriots receivers by playing on 80-of-88 snaps in Sunday's win over the Saints.
Per ESPN Boston, Dobson took some of the reps that had been going to Kenbrell Thompkins (59 snaps). The result was a couple more dropped passes, but also six catches for a season-high 63 yards.

Honestly, I'd say it's irrelevant. Dobson has been awful more or less all season, his hands are made of stone and covered in Vaseline to boot. Edelman somehow only played half the snaps this week. And is clearly the best receiving option on the team right now. None of the things the Patriots do on offense makes sense to be honest. I'm not really happy counting on anyone in this offense for week-to-week production at this point. Unless Gronk comes back.

Yea, there is absolutely zero chance GB trades for Nicks.

<_<

Found Charles Clay sitting out there (dropped due to the bye) in one of my leagues. Could be a decent backup option for Graham owners. He may even be a FA right now if your league settings don't lock him until tonight's game. Worth a look imo if someone dropped him or has been forgotten about this week.

As I mentioned last week. Kyle rudolph. Rudolph is good. Ponder and cassel are bad. With freeman back there it is a huge upgrade. With freeman rudolph will beast.

If james jones and cobb out...boykin

Has anyone mentioned mike cox? Wilson out. Scott out. And I saw jacobs come up lame at the end of the game and didnt practice today. Cox got first team reps today. If jacobs is out everyones gonna be after mike cox so get him early wednesday before they practice for free

Don't know if that was intentional but either way lol.

Nick Foles for me, as an Rg3 owner I will be stoked to get him, imo he is going to take Vicks job with another good showing

Edit*

Have you seen his ros schedule. That's look very nice.

some of them to Ben Watson .... BUT since they have a bye this week, way too early to tell - esp since we don't know what the injury is

IMO Dunbar is the Dallas RB you want, and Burleson is the DET WR you want.

Both of these guys are injured. Dunbar until we don't know when, Hammy issue so it could linger for awhile. And Burleson won't be back for at least another 4+ games with a broken arm. A lot of things can change in 3-4 weeks. If Durham has 3-4 huge games leading up to Burleson's return will you still think Burleson is the WR to own?

I know he hasn't even played yet for week 6, but is anyone interested in Donald Brown? He's been productive. Richardson has been... uh... ok?

Any chance Brown starts seeing more touches? Or is he a pure handcuff?

Pure handcuff. The colts gave up a 1st rounder for Richardson. They're not going to stop riding him now. He'll get a good season or so to prove them wrong before any real change comes.
