Who else are you guys targeting this week? Any guys coming off I.R. that might make an impact?

Searched and didn't see a thread from Faust, so I started one.

Which Defense should one target this week? I have the Steelers but they sure sucked this past weekend and face Dallas next.

My favorite thread in-season. I wouldn't spend a lot on Hunt, because I'm not sure he is trustworthy, but I could be wrong. Sermon is an obvious waiver wire target if Taylor misses time. But, from what I'm hearing it's not serious. For you redraft guys, Josh Downs looked good. I'm sure he's already rostered in dynasty. I told you guys Tucker Kraft was better than Musgrave.

Seeing Tutu two (haha see what I did there) weeks in a row, I'd like to grab him where available. I saw where they're saying Puka may miss another month. Robinson hasn't done much with his chances.

I'm worried about it.

I think it could have been a hot hand game. Steele fumbled one away. Perine got the TD. I still think there's a real chance this is a committee. And I don't want to break the bank.

But I think the upside is certainly there after seeing him look so good yesterday. I'm really torn on how to proceed.

Good luck guessing each week.

My gut said and continues to say it's Hunt that's gonna be the most fantasy relevant by seasons end. I was shocked how much use he got right out of the gate. That usage won't continue, but I'd assume he leads the team in touches each week. Imo

That usage won't continue

Why not? Vintage Hunt (if possible to maintain) is markedly better than Perine and Steele. And the Chiefs offense is now hurting for an identity.
Cause Andy and that offense zigs when opponents are preparing for a zag. It's what makes him really really good. Would anyone be surprised if Hunt lead the rbs in touches next week with only 5 rushing attempts?

Nothing would surprise me with Reid, but after yesterday (health and fresh legs permitting) I think the highest probabilty scenario is for the workload split we saw to continue or even accelerate in Hunt's favor. Again, nothing guaranteed - I'm speaking in probablistics, in response to the idea that yesterday's usage won't continue.

Mainly for SF/2QB leagues, but Flacco if Richardson misses time. Maybe even if he doesn't miss time given his propensity to get hurt.

Is the Tucker Kraft option legit w/ Love back? I simply can't continue to trot out Pitts and Hockenson is still 2 weeks away it sounds.

Juju and/or Watson to replace Rice

I have Worthy in a short-bench full PPR league (5 players - Waddle/Worthy/Ford/Charbonnet/Darnold). I've watched all the KC games - I'm not convinced Worthy is ready to step up to full-time yet. So JuJu/Watson should be good cheapish pickups (it's also possible the whole offense just blows for the rest of the year). Not sure I would drop Worthy for them though.

I am considering dropping Worthy for Downs though - I'd be much more enthused about it if Flacco was playing, but Richardson did have a few good games with him last year. Ford would be a candidate to drop if I knew Chubb was coming back healthy, but until then, a starting RB, even a below-average one like Ford, is too valuable to have on the bench for injury protection (where I've been lucky) to drop.

I'd say yes. He had a string of good games at the end of last year too. Worth it over
Pitts for sure, I'm considering him over
Conklin
if
McBride
stays out. I don't see the Jets putting up a ton of points @Min in week 5. GB @LAR sounds much better.

Trade Worthy if you're not a fan - don't drop him.

Jordan Whittington - This is the week to get him. Kupp and Puka still unknown when they will be back. JW went 6 for 62 on 8 targets but the most important part is that he ran 97% of the snaps. D Robinson dropped down to 85% snaps.

Solid call. I cut Whittingon off of 7 teams this week because he did nothing and then proceeded to do exactly what I thought he'd do when I spent valuable FA money to roster him in 7 leagues. Mcvay throws more curveballs at fantasy owners then any coach in recent memory. Not because he's trying to be but because I think he's always thinking and tweaking.

85% sounds like a lot of snaps to me.
His previous weeks were 92, 92, 93. Whittingtons were 3, 50, 38 and this week 97.
Sounds like splitting hairs to me.

KC might bring in a FA to help with the WR room. Corey Davis I think is an interesting name.
He's still only 29
His QBs have been Mariota, Tannehill, Zack Wilson
Retired shortly before 2023 began. Can't blame him after the Zack Wilson experiment.
Then announced he is returning for 2024
Known for his downfield ability. Rice was perfect for that role + the middle of the field.

Considering the production (JW 6-62 vs DR 2-37) I'd say it's more a sign that Whittington has finally earned more in the offense and mcvay is calling his number.

IDK. I like the prospect of trading for an Amari Cooper better. KC needs a savy route runner. Or they could go with the king of slants - Michael Thomas LOL!

Or they could just lose out from here, most wouldn't mind. lol

That would be ideal. I'm just trying to think of what draft capital do they have.
For Cle to part ways with Cooper they would want 1st/2nd round picks.
The Chiefs gave up a ton to draft Worthy: 32nd overall, 95th overall, 221st overall to the Bills
If they offset additional draft capital from 2025 that's going to be tough considering what they gave up in 2024

The NFL is full of trade rumors. And most articles are just throwing names out there. Like DHop, D. Adams, A. Cooper.
Without considering what it will take to complete a trade.

I doubt CLE asks or would expect a 1st round or even a second round pick for a 30 year old WR

A 3rd rounder for Cooper makes sense.
Tough front office decisions cause they gave up a 3rd and 7th to move up to draft Worthy in 2024
So with that 3rd already invested do they give up a 3rd in 2025?

For prospective - here is what the Brown gave up to aquire Cooper.

Browns receive: Amari Cooper, 2022 sixth-round draft pick
Cowboys receive: 2022 fifth- and sixth-round draft picks

Yes, there are going for a 3peat.

Can't compare the dumbest team in NFL regarding what they give up in trades. Look at what Texans got for Watson as prime example.

Makes little sense for CLE plus too early in season would be telling their fans they have given up after 4 games. Never going to happen.

My point was it sets the ceiling of it were to happen. Browns aren't gonna get better than what they gave up 2 years removed.

more droppable: Corum or J Wright?
Whichever you decide, you will be wrong. So then the best answer is cut both lol

Just remember- McVay is the most fickle coach in the league. A guy can come off of the street and play 100% of snaps just because he feels like it that week.

Wright still needs an Achane injury and a competent QB to unlock him.
