Waiver Wire running back fodder (1 Viewer)

Lots of mid-to-lower end running backs floating around on the wires this week. Name 2-3 you think should be on your team, and why (briefly):

A. Brown, Giants-week 11 BYE, but Bradshaw is hurt

Ivory, New Orleans-my biggest question mark, could get the rock

Starks, GB-a passing team, but more looks recently

Jones, Oak-fast, but only 1 carry in week 10, DMAC due back

D. Williams, Car-is he all but useless now?

Vereen, NE-Ridley clear #1, but gets some touches

Ingram, New Orleans-part of a 4-headed monster, but more touches every week

D. Brown, Indy-injured, was #1 when he got hurt

Interested in your thoughts.....may be useful for others as trade deadlines approach.

Daniel Thomas is looking like a solid pickup, if he's still available. Reggie Bush is falling out of favor with the Dolphins, and it's likely that he won't be back next year. They seem to be committed to getting Thomas involved, and he's being used a lot in the passing game, which helps his PPR numbers.

I'm grabbing Vereen in the leagues I've got Ridley after the byes this week in all the leagues I've got him. Between knee woes & suspension, Bodden's out of the picture and Vereen would be a very good RB2 if Ridley went down. (He actually might even be better than that in PPR formats)

Brown should be rostered. RB2 if Bradshaw's out.

The rest on that list I don't have much interest in. Just not a much of any value in those NO,Carolina running situations. (As far as DWill/Ivory/Ingram. Just unlikely to see consistently even if injuries do come about)

Others I like more than your remaining list: [PPR format}

Felix Jones (for all the hate he gets, he's been quite solid as a fill in in PPR leagues. [Too lazy to find his overall PPR RB ranking the last 4-5 weeks. And no guarantees Murray's returning soon).

Marcel Reece (the way he's used as their version of Larry Centers is intriguing. If McFadden's not back soon, I could see him flirting with PPR RB1 status the rest of the way. He was RB10 in Week 10.

Beanie Wells: Week 12 return. Brutal playoff matchups, but don't underestimate fresh legs late in the year. We've seen many underwhelming talents (less talented than Wells) thrive on late season tired D's. The backfield is his upon return & you can't say that about many NFL RB's. Definitely worth a bench spot (if he were dropped)

What about Benson?

I don't think I could trust Benson. He can come back week 14 which is most people's first playoff week. Trust to put someone in your lineup in the playoffs after zero or 1 performance unless it was a really enticing matchup. They have Det, Chi, Ten in weeks 14-16.

Beanie is worth the stash. If he can get hot after he comes back with the weaker opponents, if you don't have options during the playoffs he could pay off.

Wells has nice matchups Week 12/13 (Rams/@NYJ) but Im not sure you would use him after that. @Seattle, Detroit, Chicago, @SFWith the Cards line beating dominated weekly you'd have to be really desperate to play him during the playoffs and Id assume majority of playoff teams have better options. Im going to stash him to help my boost Week 12 and maybe 13 but even then Im not sure what to expect. Ive read some reports he looks pretty good in practicing/drills and obviously is going to have fresh legs so we'll see.

He's worth watching.I don't think they'll rush him back. If the Starks/Green platoon works, wouldn't be surprised if he just returned (if he does) for the final week or two of the season.

Brown should be rostered...not sure how he is available anywhere.

Yeah...he is reliant on TDs...but he has been getting them.

Easily a RB3/flex even with Bradshaw active...becomes RB2/borderline RB1 if Bradshaw goes out.
