Waiver Wire WRs this week...who do you like? (1 Viewer)

Lots of movement (heh heh, i said 'movement') on our Wire this week...

After the great Manningham rush last week, wondering what people are doing with regards to adds/drops on these WRs.

Please note PPR/non-PPR, dynasty/redraft-keeper

Here's how I rank them for this week:

P. Garcon

Not necessarily a great PPR guy, but man he looks fast, great hands, team player, Peyton 'en fuego', etc. I needed bye week injury help this week, so took Garcon for at least a few weeks.

M. Sims-Walker (texas ranger)

Getting all the love from Garrard last week. Nearly had a TD (or two) but was pushed out of bounds. If the TEN pass D that bad, maybe he's a good start this week. Jags need to get their passing game on track since their DEF gives up points. Their schedule is pretty weak, too. I think I prefer his upside over Holt.

L. Evans (dropped week 2)

E. Royal (dropped week 2)

I am tempted by these guys for the long term, but it might just be for the name value. I am not sure I'd trust them until I see something, but I might stash them if I had some extra space on my roster (which I don't right now).

L. Moore (dropped recently)

A. Gonzalez (dropped week 1)

Love these guys, but have no idea about their injury situations. A. Gonzo may have lost his job as the #2 to Garcon, who plays more like Harrison. Gonzo should go back into the slot and should have value, but I fear a Marvin Harrision type injury season where he doesn't ever come back (he's coming back THIS week...no now, NEXT week).

J. Morgan (dropped recently)

Not such a good option so far, unless you get points in your league for blocking. In a tough game with Gore out, they started throwing his way, but team captain V.Davis seems to be the real #1 target in the passing game. Plus, they are not a passing team. Keeping an eye on him. Might pick him up if he was avail in Dynasty.

M. Wallace (undrafted)

Bye, bye Sweed. I thought that SuperBowl drop was an anomaly, although it smelled of his time at UT. Enter Mike Wallace...PPR/slot/E.Royal rookie wonder? Is PIT going to keep passing? I think so, but hard to trust the #3 on a traditionally running team that also likes to use its TEs. If Willie's hurt, slot in Me. Moore ahead of him also as RB who gets catches. He could be a sneaky add, though and might be valuable in Dynasty.

D. Avery (undrafted)

Will he get a chance with a new QB with an arm and Laurent out? I am not sure I want a seat on the Titanic, but there's points to be had even on bad teams.

T. Holt (dropped week 2)

I actually had him in Dynasty as a 'steady fill in' for BYE weeks, but cut him for J. Knox. Is there any upside for Holt? (see Sims-Walker).

Chaz Schilens (undrafted)

Love what I saw in preseason, but he's still hurt and is not exactly stepping into a Fantasy smörgåsbord when he returns. Is there any way Jamarcus makes him a decent starter? Could Cable get fired or punch Chaz in his recently healed foot? Could another QB (who?) step in? Lots of questions with this guy. I am holding him in Dynasty.

MSW is the real deal. pick him up if you can. He will get a lot of targets/catches this year if he can stay healthy.

this more of an assistant coach topic since its specific to your league.
I didn't intend this to be a who should I pickup of these guys, but rather a ranking/value of some typical Waiver Wire WRs that might be available.I pulled the common Waiver WR off my league's wire, yes, but am trying to get some general discussion going about the WR values in PPR or non-PPR, Dynasty or Re-draft.The notes I give are a starting point.
