Curious how managers approach waivers.
Do you prioritize filling immediate needs? Or prioritize who could provide the biggest bang down the road that could contribute most to a championship?
I know a lot can depend on your record, other managers in your league, bye weeks, etc.
I'm struggling with this for week 6.
On one hand, I need a defense. I probably have a decent chance of grabbing one of HOU, PHI, or LAC. Then again, so often you think you're picking up a great D with a matchup and it's a dud (like with a kicker).
On the other hand, there are high upside RBs such as Bigsby, T. Tracy, T. Chandler, and J. Wright. Then again, banged up starters such as ETN, Singletary, and A. Jones could be right back to carrying the load.
I think in general I lean towards going for the upside. Always seems like immediate needs can be filled later in the week as new info/injury information becomes available.
Thanks
