Matt Waldman said in the Fantasy Roundtable - "I like Edgerrin James to build on last week's performance and get a chance at revenge against the Cardinals this weekend. James had 16 carries to Julius Jones' 12, and I think there's a decent chance for James to take over the job down the stretch now that he's gotten into playing shape after being without a team throughout the summer. I think the Cardinals run defense is more suspect than the numbers show on the surface. With Matt Hasselbeck healthy, the Seahawks will have great balance and I like James to get his chances in the red zone."

What you say Seattle homers?

As far as I remember he had all the touches for Seattle in the last minutes of the game.

I wouldn't put any stock into those 16 carries.

I don't know anything beyond that though, but I have no reason not to believe Seattle will continue to live and die by the air.

I agree that they will live and die through the air, but there are still likely to be 20-30 touches, maybe even more to the running backs. If Edge is in-line for a healthy % of that and goaline duty in a pretty productive offense, there could be some real value there. And I'll bet he's sitting in most league's waiver wires.

hmm...

ESPN's Mike Sando predicts that Justin Forsett's role in the Seahawks' backfield will increase going forward.

Sando is clued into the Seahawks beat as a former reporter for the team. Already the 'Hawks' best pass-catching back, Forsett is averaging 6.56 yards per touch to Julius Jones' 4.34 and Edgerrin James' lifeless 3.02. Sando also notes that Forsett is "challenging to become the best pass-blocking back on the team." He's well worth a roster spot in PPR leagues.

Very true, although Edge did get extra playing time in Indy with the fans there cheering him. It may have been to get revenge but I think it was mainly because of all the fans he had in an otherwise hostile environment.

Notice how much of this was in the fourth quarter of a 41 point blowout?

If anything, I think Forsett will be given more first and second down carries before James.I specifically noted in the game thread this past week when Forsett got a few early down touches. It really made me take notice and I thought it was a potentially significant event.

Jones, James, Forsett ... you're just shuffling deck chairs.

The Seahawks need a real RB. Someone like McGahee would be a smart pickup for them IMO, and I suspect he could be had too.
