Hi Jeff!
Thanks for the thoughts along the way, and I sure appreciate this option for a second opinion. Like most folks, I still make my own decisions and don't look back, but at the same time, I love hearing a different perspective. So I have some RB and TE questions.
RB – Lynch wasn't very good this last weekend, after being pretty special for several weeks, so I'll probably go with him again. He'll start along with Forte, and then I'll probably go with Pierre Thomas over Bush on Thursday. "Play your Studs" seems like good advice, but I guess I can't figure out if Bush or Pierre is my stud in this instance.
1. So any thoughts on Thomas or Bush?
2. They play at Chicago, and I wonder if there is any logic in playing both of them? I'd bench Lynch who plays at the NYJ.
The Bears are good against the run (except when they play against Peterson). I think I would only want one dog in that fight. It is a tough call. The weather will be cold and maybe nasty with the wind.
TE – I'm starting to think that "targets" is a pretty good indicator of success for WR's and TE's, and am inclined to go with Carlson this weekend. It's only a one game sample, but Carlson had 9 targets last week, Daniels had 6, and Boss had one. Seattle plays at St Louis, and they have both been struggling. Daniels has Tennessee at home, and Boss plays at Dallas, both fairly good defenses, although I have no idea how they do against the TE in particular.
3. Is my logic sound on Carlson, or does one of the others stand out to you this weekend? Carlson has been playing well. Keep an eye on the injury issue of Hasselbeck. Carlson is a much better play with Hasselbeck playing than Wallace.
12 person redraft, NO PPR, 1 point/25 yards passing, 4pts/passing TD, 1pt/10 yards rushing or receiving, 6pts/TD. Start 1QB, 2RB, 2WR, 1RB/WR flex, 1TE, 1K, 1DEF
My roster: QB P. Manning, Campbell, RB Lynch, Forte, Bush, Thomas, F. Jackson WR R. Wayne, A. Boldin, Mark Bradley TE Daniels, Carlson, Boss PK Vinatieri, Def Ravens.
Thanks again!
