I think I definately need some depth at RB and WR. Some possible WW pickups:QB: Seneca WallaceRB: Tatum Bell, and not a whole lot more here.(Weaver, D. Foster, G. Russell) I have around 33 of bling bidding dollars left. Should I drop anyone for Bell?WR: Braylon Edwards(someone actually dropped him to make some salary room, great matchup against Cinci in week 16 if I make it), Hilliard, R. Williams(JAC)DEF: Seahawks have STL this week, Houston has Oakland next week.I am pretty much at the Cap Limit so I might need to drop some players to pick up others, is Braylon worth picking up and if so who should I drop. Thinking I could drop both Lewis and Cooley and pick up Bell and Edwards but for how much? Thanks Jeff
For cap room, I would look at dropping: Thipen, Clayton, and Collins. I would not touch Bell with Selvin Young coming back. Bell will not do much better than Dunn. Foster is only intriguing if Gore is lost for the year. I would look at Braylon and one more defense.

Jeff, need some help here on who to start and then who to pick up for a kicker.Traditional yahoo scoring with 25 pts per return as well. Need to start 1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, 2 RB/WR Flex, K, DMy team:QB: Cassel, EliRB: Portis, MBIII, Forte, Slaton, K SmithWR: Calvin Johnson, TJ Housh, Cotchery, A Bryant, T GinnK: FeelyD: Miami and PittsburghI don't think I want to start Feely, and some available kickers are: Carney, Suisham, and Vinatieri.Thoughts?
At QB, it is tough. The Raiders are decent versus the pass. I would lean toward Eli, especially if Jacobs is limited or out. At RB, I love Portis and Forte. Also, it would be tough to bench Slaton the way he has played. I think I would also play MB3 if he starts. Calvin, Housh, and Bryant all look like good options. If MB3 or Portis is out, I would consider Ginn or K Smith. The Colts do not have a good rush defense for Smith. Good luck. Huge week for all.

Sorry. Feely scares me because Favre has not thrown much lately. I like Vinatieri (with the fear of the Colts getting all TDs) and Carney. Both have been hot of late with the exception of last week. At defense, I would go with Miami vs SF. The NFC West teams have struggled going east.

sorry for missing it ....Rodgers, Chris Johnson, Mason, and Moore are who I like at the skill positions. Moore was hot and plays against a bad Bear secondary. RB2 is a big question. Lynch vs the Jets or Dunn against the Falcons. I like Dunn, too. If Gore is out, Foster could be an option.

Hi Jeff,

Thanks for guiding me to a tough win last week. Finals time in one league and semifinals in the other. Hopefully your insight will get me to the promised land!

Standard scoring (6/TD, 1/10 yards, non-PPR):

League 1

Pick 2 WRs:

Andre Johnson (vs. TEN)

Colston (@CHI)

Antonio Bryant (@ATL)

Edwards (@PHI)

This one comes up fast because of Colston's game Thursday. All have somewhat tough opponents, and I don't know who to go with at this point.

Pick 2 RBs:

Westbrook (vs. CLE)

Slaton (vs. TEN)

Jacobs (@DAL)

Westy's a no-brainer. Jacobs is banged up and has two others to pick up the slack. Slaton's got most of the carries to himself, but can he go off again versus the Titans? Or do I try to pick up a RB off waivers? Jonathan Stewart (vs. DEN) and Dominic Rhodes (vs. DET) are available and have good matchups.

League 2

Pick 2 WRs:

White (vs. TB)

Wayne (vs. DET)

Randy Moss (@OAK)

DeSean Jackson (vs. CLE)

I think I have to go with White and Wayne. Asomugha will be draped all over Moss. Antonio Bryant is also available in this league!

Pick 2 RBs:

Slaton (vs. TEN)

Stewart (vs. DEN)

Kevin Smith (@IND)

Again, do I dare start Slaton? Lots of RBs available on waivers (Pierre Thomas, Rhodes, Ward)

Too many options this week. I hope you can help me sort through some of this.

Thanks!

Colston (@CHI)

Antonio Bryant (@ATL)

Edwards (@PHI)

This one comes up fast because of Colston's game Thursday. All have somewhat tough opponents, and I don't know who to go with at this point. Would be tough to sit Bryant after Monday night. I think I would play Colston. Tenn only gives up 198 passing yards and .6 Tds a game. Bryant and Colston

Stewart versus Slaton is the only choice for me at RB2. I think you go with Slaton. I know it is risky, but I do not like starting RBs who split carries when I need a win

League 2

Pick 2 WRs:

White (vs. TB)

Wayne (vs. DET)

Randy Moss (@OAK)

DeSean Jackson (vs. CLE)

I think I have to go with White and Wayne. Asomugha will be draped all over Moss. Antonio Bryant is also available in this league! Stay with White and Wayne

Pick 2 RBs:

Slaton (vs. TEN)

Stewart (vs. DEN)

Kevin Smith (@IND)

Again, do I dare start Slaton? Lots of RBs available on waivers (Pierre Thomas, Rhodes, Ward) I think I would stay with slaton. The other two is a tough decision. Smith should get carries against a soft Colt defense. It is close. I think Stewart has a better chance for a huge game while Smith has a higher ceiling.

Too many options this week. I hope you can help me sort through some of this.

Thanks!
good luck.

There is talk of Addai not playing. If this is the case, start Rhodes and MB3. If Addai plays, have to hope for more info this weekend. I would be afraid of the Colts pulling him from a blowout game at halftime.

Pick Three

B Marshall @ CAR

E Royal @ CAR

C Johnson @ IND

J Cotchery vs BUF
Bench Cotchery. He has done little for the last few weeks.

Good luck this week

Hey everyone, be wary of Addai this week. There is talk of him missing this week's game since it is against the weak Lions. Keep an eye on the situation.

playoff help....10 yds rush/rec=1 pt tds=6

Should I start MBIII or Morris?

Helps a little as my 1st rd opponent had Bush and Orton tonight (I had Moore). Has me leanin towards Morris, as MBIII is not certain to play.

As always, thanks for your help.

Unfortunately I didn't catch your post prior to Thusdays game. Started Moore at WR witch ended up being a bad move. Wow how quickly he has falen. Have 1 more spot at WR to fill this week. Who would you choose between Driver, Breaston and Walter? Thanks.

Wish I would've heard from you before the saints/bears game but I think you would've recommended Bush anyway and I would have started him....now I have to hope he doesn't cost me the win.....keep your fingers crossed for me Jeff! :goodposting:

Sorry, I have been off work this week and been a slacker. I think I would bench Walter and it is between Driver and Breaston. I know it is a risky either way since both have good matchups. I think Driver has the better chance at a huge game.

Hi Jeff. You've been 100% spot on correct for all my start/sit questions this year. It's playoff time and i'm one win away from playing for my first championship ever. I'm looking for some QB and RB advice this week and need you to pull one more rabbit out of your hat for me.

Hi scoring league...PPR (RB as well), 6 points per TD, bonus 3 points for TDs of 13 to 42 yards (throwing, catching and running), another bonus 3 points for TDs greater than 42 yards, 1 point per 25 yards passing.

Do i start Warner vs. Minn or McNabb vs. Clev? Warner's cooled off lately and McNabb's been heating up, but will it continue?

Also...how hurt is MB3? I will start Chris Johnson for sure, but do i start LenDale White or MB3 as my #2 guy? i've been running Tenn RBBC off and on w/ success all year, i'm not sure i should stop now but just want another set of eyes on it.

Thanks for a great year and here's to another win for the home team (that'd be me) :football:

Thank you for the kind words ... I do not think I would risk it with Barber. Even if he plays, it would stink if he plays only a half. Usually, Tenn plays Johnson early in the game to build a lead and White gets carries after they have a lead. HOU does not have a strong run defense so I expect White to be decent. Also, I think I would roll with Warner. He has the possibility to put up monster numbers, especially at home in the desert. In his six home games so far this season, Warner averages 300 yards, 2 Tds, and .5 picks. On the road, he averages still 300 yds, a little less than 2 Tds, but 1.3 picks a game. Good luck this week.

Hey guys, I just read where LenDale White will be listed as questionable. I think he still plays but be on the lookout for updates on Saturday and Sunday morning.

Well with all of my RB injuries (Gore, Jacobs, Hillis) I am left choosing between Foster or T Bell. 1pt/10, 6pt/TD, no ppr.

Carolina is allowing more RB points than Miami. Both teams are on the road and on the East coast. I know I don't trust Shanahan. I don't see either of my options getting the full workload. Robinson/Clayton will get carries and Young and Boyd/Pope will get carries.

Lance Moore screwed me on Thursday so I am looking for the guy with more potential here...

Hey Wannabee,

I have a tough decision this week regarding my defense. I have Lynch and Evans (over Bruce because of the bad weather in Miami) in my lineup. Do I start the Jets D home against the Bills or the Titans at Houston. Given that I have have Lynch and Evans, I could be hedged by starting NY. The Jets D hasn't played well the last couple of weeks, but the Bills offense may struggle with Losman. I'm hesitant to start the Titans because they have Steve Slaton and are home.

I'm leaning towards starting the Titans. Thoughts?

How should I look at improving this dynasty team this off-season? Players you'd target and look to shop off?

QB's - Peyton Manning, Rivers, Leinart, Stanton,

RB's - Tomlinson, Lynch, J. Stewart, Addai, Mendenhall, F. Jackson, Sproles, Hart, Hester

WR's AJ, Fitzgerald, Evans, Cotchery, Holmes, Avery, Rice,

TE's - Winslow, Boss, M. Lewis, V. Davis

K - Gostikowski, Brown, Graham

D - SD, SEA, HOU

We are a 12 team league with large rosters 50+ so I didn't list alot of scrubs no-namers on my bench.

We start a QB 2RB 3WR TE FLEX K DST

QB - I like my QB's looking to address this in the draft maybe round 2?

RB - Tomlinson is getting old and I like Stewart but wish he was a feature back, Addai stinks and I don't have real depth

WR - Pretty set at WR 1 and 2, Evans and Cotchery are decent for WR3, I like Avery and Holmes for depth.

TE's - Don't like my TE's

What type of trades would you look to make and who would you try to target?

It's looking like I'll have 1.9, 2.4, 2.9, 3.9, 4.9, 5.9, 6.9

Hey Jeff

Who would you start this week?

1. Romo vs Balt (tough def but at home in nice weather)

or

2. Warner at NE (cold weather and no run game but eventually has to bounce back with big game)

Scoring is TD=6 and 1 pt for every 10 yards pass/russ.

Thanks..

Hey Jeff

Which 3 WR's would you go with this week in a Non-ppr league?

1. Moore at Det

2. Breaston at NE

3. Walter at Oak

4. Driver at Chi

5. Bowe vs Miami

6. Nothcutt vs Indy

Thanks......

I think Warner, only because Balt defense is so stingy versus the pass. NE gives up 29 more yards and .9 passing TDs a game.

Hey JeffWhich 3 WR's would you go with this week in a Non-ppr league?1. Moore at Det2. Breaston at NE3. Walter at Oak4. Driver at Chi5. Bowe vs Miami6. Nothcutt vs IndyThanks......
Walter, Bowe, and either Driver or Breaston. I guess I do not trust Moore much. He was very hot. One thing to watch is Bush's health. Moore was on fire while Reggie Bush was out with the injury, but cooled off when Reggie came back.

Jeff,

Thanks to some of your great calls (and one only slightly damaging miscall) I managed to snag the championship in one league!

In the other, I'm in the consolation game to get my buy-in back (against the highest scoring team in the league no less; the 5 and 7 seeds are playing for the title--go fig).

Standard scoring, non-PPR.

Pick 2 WRs

Antonio Bryant (vs. SD)

Randy Moss (vs. ARI)

White (@MIN)

Wayne (@JAC)

DeSean Jackson (@WAS)

I think I'm pretty set in my lineup and was planning to start Bryant and Moss because of their great matchups, but I'm worried about how well Antonio Bryant will do if Griese gets the start instead of Garcia.

Again, thanks for all your help this year.

Hey JeffI agree and was thinking Walter and Bowe. 1. What do you think of Northcutt vs Indy?? 2. If Bush is out do you try Moore again who has burned me the past 2 weeks?? If Bush plays do you sit him against pass friendly Detroit??3. Between Driver, Breaston and Northcutt who do you like best??Thanks again.

I really do not like Northcutt vs Indy. Indy is very good against pass. Driver vs Breason vs Moore is tough. Check the NE weather before considering Breaston. Chicago yields more fantasy points to WRs as Detroit, so I might go with Driver.

Jeff,

Thanks to some of your great calls (and one only slightly damaging miscall) I managed to snag the championship in one league! sorry ....

I would start Bryant until he has a clunker. Would be tough to bench White, but those two are the best matchups. Bryant has been on fire with both Griese and Garcia.

Hey JeffWho would you start this week?1. Romo vs Balt (tough def but at home in nice weather)or2. Warner at NE (cold weather and no run game but eventually has to bounce back with big game)Scoring is TD=6 and 1 pt for every 10 yards pass/russ.Thanks..
I think Warner, only because Balt defense is so stingy versus the pass. NE gives up 29 more yards and .9 passing TDs a game.
Hey Jeff if the weather is bad in NE do you sit Warner and go with Romo? Also do you think Arizona sits Warner week 17 vs Seattle or do they still have something to play for?? Thanks

Which QB should i start: 1pt for 25 yards passing, 6 pts for TD pass.

P. Manning @ JAX

P. Rivers @ TB

Who should i start of the following: 1pt 10 yards rush/pass, 0.5pt for reception, 6pt for TD rush/reception.

Reggie Bush @ DET

Marvin Harrison @ JAX

Jerious Norwood @ MIN

The Cardinals have nothing to play for, this week or next. For this reason, I would take Romo if the weather is bad.

I like Peyton, even though the Jags play him tough. The Colts have a lot to play for. On the flex, I like Bush ... but worry he is hurt. Last I saw was that they may hold him out the rest of the year. If he is out, you almost have to go with Marvin because of the strength of the Minny run defense.

Thanks Jeff. The thing i'm worried about is that the Colts play on Thursday, so i got to some how figure out if Bush is gonna play by tomorrow.

Hey Jeff

I see Reggie Bush is out for the season. Would you start WR Moore now over Driver, Breaston and Northcutt even though the past 2 weeks he has been a bust??

Also for a kicker I have Prater vs Buf or Folk vs Balt? Who would you go with? I could also drop one of them and pick up the NYG kicker who is available on waivers and who is playing at home vs Carolina??

And lastly you would go with Romo over Warner if the NE weather is bad (what should I consider as bad weather)?

Sorry for all the questions but currently I am in 3rd only 20 pts back of first with 2 games to go and need all the points and help available.

Cheers!!

UPDATE:Bush out for season

Harrison questionable with a Hammy injury

May be left with Norwood.

At WR, I think it comes down to Driver vs Moore. At kicker, I would either go with Prater or pick up Hartley. Both are good. For QB, I would try Romo if the weather is real bad in NE. The worst type of weather is the wind/rain combination.

Hi Jeff,

I thought I'd get a final opinion from you. Championship game…I'm stoked!

A question for you about week 16 Defenses.

I have Baltimore, and they have have been great lately. Earlier in the year I played matchups a few times with mixed results.

If I've crunched the numbers correctly, here at the two options I'm considering for the week 16 championship game.

Baltimore at Dallas – I love Baltimore D, Romo is a bit gimpy, but game in Dallas. Over last 4 games, Balt D has averaged about 18 fantasy points against Phil, Wash, Pitt, Cinc, three of which are fairly stout D's. The Defenses (SF, Sea, Pitt, NYG) playing Dallas have scored only about 8 fantasy points per week, but I feel that was skewed by the 1 and 2 points scored by the woeful SF and Seattle Defenses. Pitt got 23 against Dallas, and the Giants 7. So even though a tough matchup, I like this one the best.

Cleveland v Cincinnati – Cleveland D is rated fairly highly this week at home against Cincy. Cleveland D has scored about 12 fantasy points a week against Hous, Ind, Ten, Phil, so surprisingly not too bad. Some pretty good Defenses (Pitt, Balt, Ind, Wash) against Cincy have scored about 14 fantasy points per week this last month. An intriguing matchup.

So what do you think? Stick with the solid defense even though a tough matchup? Or take a flyer on a potentially good week by Cleveland?

My instincts tell me that I should go with Baltimore, since they really are my stud Defense. If I did lose because of this choice, I could live with it because it was a sound choice. If I try the Hail Mary, I'd be a rock star if I connect, but if I don't, I not only lose, but feel like I gave it away by going away from my best option.

So I think I've convinced myself!

But I have enjoyed your perspective on things, so thought I'd give you one more conundrum to consider!

Thanks for a fun season, and some wonderful insights!

12 person redraft, NO PPR, 1 point/25 yards passing, 4pts/passing TD, 1pt/10 yards rushing or receiving, 6pts/TD. Start 1QB, 2RB, 2WR, 1RB/WR flex, 1TE, 1K, 1DEF

I would stick with Balt and hope for a defensive touchdown. I do think they will sack Romo. My issue with Cleve is that I do not like to rely on bad players to win in the crunch, regardless of the matchup. Thank you for the kind words. Good luck this week.
