Hearing people discuss Boldin's impending "return to the mean" made me wonder why people think he can't keep up this pace. It's the same thought I had last year when Moss and Brady were torching secondaries and I was proven woefully wrong. A little research showed alot of similarities between this year's Arizona team and last year's record setting Patriot aerial display. While I'm not sure Arizona will keep it up, I think it's entirely possible. As long as Warner can stay healthy they have a shot. Check out the per game average numbers for New England in 2007 and Arizona in 2008:
QB
25 of 36 for 300 yards 69% completion percentage 3.1 TD's and .5 INT's - Tom Brady
27 of 38 for 307 yards 71% completion percentage 2.1 TD's and .7 INT's - Kurt Warner
WR1
6 receptions for 93 yards and 1.4 TD's - Randy Moss
7 receptions for 87 yards and 1.4 TD's - Anquan Boldin
WR2
7 receptions for 73 yards and .5 TD's - Wes Welker
6 receptions for 88 yards and .7 TD's - Larry Fitzgerald
(If Boldin hadn't received that wicked hit Arizona would have had another passing TD plus Boldin would have been available for 2 more games)
