Warner vs. the Jets (1 Viewer)

The weathermen have been totally off this weekend so far. What was supposed to be a washout has produced some mist and fog but not the downpours expected.

Tomorrow shows Partly Cloudy until 1PM (gametime) few showers throughout until 6PM.

It's a nice matchup for Kurt, who's going with him regardless?

I doubt I'll sit Brees for him even with the lack of receivers but will probably go with JTO over him in the Dome in my other league.

Makes for a fun game to watch!

anyone know how well Warner has fared in the rain?

I am rethinking whether or not I want to start him over Delhomme, whom I think could be a sneaky play against ATL this week.

I am trying decide between Brees and Warner too.. Bree's is a stud, but all QB's are due for a poor game here and there.. look at week 2 for him.. Given his WR problems + oline is banged up + Sand Fran hasn't let a 200yd passer yet- I am worried this could be one of those...

Warner has a good matchup, Jets were passed on by San D, on a short week.. However, this weather could be a problem, and I just have more faith in Brees than Warner!!

For what it's worth, I live in Jersey about 40 minutes south of the stadium and it's been raining heavily all morning.

I have Warner starting in one league and am going to ride him out. They say bad conditions play to the offense, right?

its absolutely POURING buckets here in Rutherford, Nj at the moment..its 10.44 am here in NJ.

ESPN just did a "supposedly" live report from the stadium, and it looked fine. There cheerleaders practicing in the background, people walking around the field, the reporter standing there in a suit..

Not saying anyone is wrong here, but some of the homers are saying its pouring, some says its not. Tv show its not... ect.. Whats the truth here!!!

How about the wind? I would think that the offense may have an advantage in the rain but, the defense has the advantage if the winds are howling.

There was a study, I can't find it, but it was by a professor with the last name of Borghesi, that looked at Over/Unders and weather conditions. The main findings were wind hurt offenses, rain and snow (without wind) not so much.
