Warren Sapp (1 Viewer)

Poor Warren Sapp.... he gets no love when he retires. A whole hour addition to Brett Favre on NFL Total Access and barely a murmur about Sapp retiring.. a DT playing for as long as he did is pretty impressive to me. Anyway, I'm just giving him a little acknowledgment... :goodposting:

Good, couldnt happen to a more annoying guy.

The best DT of this era. Alot of controversial things came out of his mouth, but has always been classy in his own way.

Now you can see him a commentator on one of the pregame shows. :)

In addition to his achievements on the field, he got "gay porn" in the football vernacular:

"It was something that was really, really on the edge of like gay porn," he said. "That's what we call it. When it's real bad football, that's what we call it: gay porn. Something you don't want to watch. Something you just don't want to see on the TV. Something you don't even want to talk about. That's gay porn."
I'll miss his attitude and fire, and he always gave good quote. He's also probably the best face of the legendary Bucs D. I think the NFL needs more characters like Warren.

No doubt he will be going that route. That guy loves to wink and cheese for the camera at every chance. Whichever pregame show hires him guarrantees I wont be watching it. :bag:

He was impressive, long-lasting, and he had a fun-loving character/personality that we need more of in the NFL. Definitely a HoFer in my opinion.

I want to see him on the field, like Siragusa. Actually, I want to see him skipping through players pre-game stretches and then proceeding with interviews.

He didn't gravytrain off of Brett Favre enough during his career? :lmao:

Hall Of Fame player but he was a really difficult person to root for.

Chad Clifton disagrees. Good riddance Warren :towelwave:

When motivated Warren could dominate. The only problem I have with him is his big mouth racist comments - other than that he is just peachy.

My lasting memory of Sapp is from the 'end of the 95 Orange Bowl. Fat, gassed, sucking from an oxygen tank, while Cory Schlesinger ran two 4th quarter TDs down the Cane's throats en route to Tom Osborne's first National Championship.

Sapp will not be missed by me.

I remember when he used to dominate the LBs at the defensive competition they used to have. in his prime he was amazingly fast for his size. One of the best DTs of all time

He might have officially retired today by turning in his paperwork, but he announced his retirement right after the season ended. No big surprise here, so no big love fest.

sapp was gay porn in oakland

It was a lot of fun being a Buc fan in the glory days, watching offensive lines getting blown up and QBs running for their lives on a weekly basis.

Definitely the best player in Buccaneer history, one of the best DTs ever, and a future HOF.

Great player, HOFer, and it's good when someone speaks their mind.

That said, I really disliked him. The cheap shots were bad, the racism worse.

In some ways I liked him more than Favre. But then, I enjoy trainwrecks. :goodposting:

Leroy Selmon down?

Why did it take him so long to officially retire? I mean he announced it ages ago and it took this long to make it official..odd
