While looking at whether or not I want to start Austin I started digging into Washington's pass D this season and noticed a significant split:
1st 7 Games
WR1 9/134/0.7
WR2 4/68/0.6
TE 6/64/0.6
Total 27/340/2.3
Last 3 Games
WR1 4/68/0.0
WR2 3/34/0.3
TE 5/45/0.3
Total 19/209/1.3
Now, to be clear, Washington's schedule in those first 7 games included some solid quarterbacks and receivers (Brees, AJ Green, Vincent Jackson, White/Jones, Harvin, Cruz/Nicks) and the last 3 not so much (Carolina/Philly). PIT's in there, too, but Ben threw 3 TDs.
So, at first glance, it might be quickly written off simply by pointing to the schedule, but can anyone tell me if there were any significant changes in Washington's defense between WK7 and WK8 that might have at least a little something to do with the discrepancy?
