Way too early keeper options... (1 Viewer)

12 man, 0.5 PPR. I get two keepers of:

JT - 3rd
Daniels - 6th
Chase Brown - 7th
Achane - 8th

What are your very premature opinions on what I should do?

It's way to early
I think someone said that
Having said that
Daniels would be my first choice among that group

If it's a 1 QB league it takes Daniels off the board unless every team keeps a QB and you will be picking from QB 10 in the draft.

With this few keepers I keep the two best options and to me that is Chase Brown (assuming Cincy doesn't get any competition in the off season) and Taylor (he showed why the last couple weeks).

Yes just a 1 QB league. I don't anticipate many if any will be keeping QBs. I just know Daniels helped win me a championship and is going to likely be a 3rd rounder come next year potentially so I have a soft spot for the guy.

I am so torn between Achane, JT and Brown otherwise. The value of Achane in the 8th and Brown in the 7th is pretty remarkable. Both are top 10 fantasy backs IMO and my league covets RBs like no other.

That being the case I keep two RB's as I stated easily. Value doesn't really mean much with only two keepers and the value of a QB is minor in a 1 QB league. If you like Daniels that much you can take him with your 1st or 2nd pick after you already have two RB's as keepers.

I believe dynasty trade value ranks Achane #4 and JT #6 RBs..... I'm standard 1Q with 0.5. he's #5 RB and Taylor #6.

Overall Achane #17, Taylor #20, Jayden #28, Chase #55.

You were able to find value this year. It was a good RB year. Achane durability concerns me because he's small. But he's shown he's tough.

If you're keeping top tier players that will hold value in your league you could always trade them as needed if you see a good fit. If it's an arms race, do you gain a scoring advantage at RB or compete with other owners and their players keepers. Who has bijan, saquon, gibbs hall? How far out of the running was Chuba comparatively. Later round picks. Bucky Irving was a waiver wire add this year in our dynasty league.

Of someone is dropping a top 12-24 player and you won . You're not picking until when? They're not falling to you.

This is my take. I played in 2 and 3 keeper leagues for 10+ years and it was rare that any QBs were kept (1QB).

Way to early choice is JT and Chase Brown until we know what happens in free agency and the NFL draft. So much can change if a team drafts an RB.

Nice to have options like Daniels though. I will say this with young QBs is sometimes there is a sophomore slump as teams/defenses have a full offseason to scout and plan for the QBs. I'm not saying Daniels can't be a great fantasy QB next year but proceed with caution. I think the hype might exceed the spot where he is being drafted.

Last year all the hype was around Stroud and he failed to live up to the hype 2nd year. I know Daniel's has rushing upside which helps but even Lamar Jackson QB finishes were QB10, QB14, QB15 after his 2019 QB1 finish.

Daniels with a 6th isn't too bad and an option to consider but the values of JT and Brown will probably be better come draft time.

See your last line explains why you take RBs. They will go off the board early and fast. You have identified the priority and interest in your league - mine is similar in that RBs are gone before you know it.
