This field looks pretty tough. I notice several FBGs on here.

Capt Hook

DayDrinkers

JDRaiders

EBF

Be careful. Team Thompson is NO JOKE. This guy was SOLID in the NFFC Draft in Chicago.

Good Luck FBGs !!!

radballs is good. other than that  .
Thanks for the props bagger, but this one is very tough. TL is right that these guys know their stuff. I don't even like my team and I was able to get LT2 with the third pick. Incredible early WR run. I'll post the draft in TF's forum when it's completed.

If I had my choices I would be looking for a league that wasn't dominated by FBG's. The chances of actually winning some money go up 4 fold IMO.

My squad so far:

1.12 - Torry Holt

2.01 - Caddy Williams

3.12 - Hines Ward

4.01 - Santana Moss

5.12 - Ron Dayne

6.01 - LenDale White

7.12 - Keyshawn Johnson

8.01 - Matt Jones

Little suprised L. White lasted until the 6th round.Looks like a competitive team your amassing.

It was tough to figure out where White would go. I figured 5th-9th round. I saw a big dropoff between him and the remaining RBs, so I decided not to risk letting him slide.I had considered using one of my 3rd/4th round turn picks on a RB and then going RB/WR at the 5th/6th turn, but I ultimately went with two WRs because the RB value just wasn't there. I then specifically targeted Dayne and White with the next picks. Fortunately, they both lasted. Ahman Green was my backup plan.

I like what you've done so far EBF. Here's mine.1.03 - LT2

2.10 - Anquan Boldin

3.03 - Wilie Parker

4.10 - Deion Branch

5.03 - Thomas Jones

6.10 - Alge Crumpler

7.03 - Eddie Kennison

Only Kennison and LT2 have the same bye week. Not really ecstatic with this squad. At 2.10, Boldin was already the 7th WR off the board. Crazy WR run in the second. In the main event last year I took Chad Johnson as the 3rd WR off the board from the same position.

I'm not a big fan of the Parker and Jones picks, but everything is else is solid. Boldin might be a steal at 2.10. He was second in the league in yards/game last year and was getting more targets than Fitz during the second half of the year.Branch should be good for a lot of catches this season.

Crumpler is solid.

Kennison is a guy that I had been considering throughout the draft. I'm a little worried about the conservative Herm Edwards system, but Eddie should still be the team's clear #1.

Do you think there's any coincidence that an early WR run coincided with your last WCOFF post? I think not. Sometimes people use your posting knowledge against you. Just ask the staff.

when does this take place?
they started last night and are drafting today.if you want in there's another one that I'm thinking of joining.

# 22.

find it at xpertsports.com
People might also want to consider joining League 18. The live draft starts at 8 p.m. Monday, June 26. Right now, there are seven openings.I'm pimping that one because I'm entered and it's on a rare night that I have off from work. The other nights listed for llve drafts don't fit into my schedule.

By the way, League 21 is shaping up to be a bloodbath.

Drafting allready huh? Wow..that has it ups and downs but I would like to draft closer to the season. what was the fee for these leagues?

Holt in rd. one must mean PPR scoring, right? I think I will get in one of these slow drafts..wish it were a cash prize tho. Anything can happen in a year in a half.

I agree with this and is a reason i dont like to get invloved in many threads about such things..I have to beleive these are PPR leagues?

I am just not a big fan of 2 min time limit drafts for cash..but maybe one for the heck of it and get ready for the paydaysports draft in Sept.

Yea, these are PPR leagues. If you win, you can choose to take $2,000 instead of the WCOFF trip package.

cool thanks I am at xperts now checking out the rules..something tells me these leagues may fill up quicker now. Wow that's not a bad payout and makes it fair to enter into more than one league. I agree that finding a league not filled with regular guys form this board might be more strategic though.

Not sure if I would've went TE that high rad, but I know that's your thing  I love Kennison as a WR3 and if TJones ends up getting the majority of the carries (which I think he will) that's a steal at 5.03.

hmm feeling the excitement in the air already this year. Wow I am an admitted FF junky esp for $cash$..soon their will be clinics to help us detox from this stuff!..lol

Agree with rad that this group has been tough so far.

Here is my team so far from the 6 hole

1-6 Clinton Portis

2-7 Larry Fitzgerald

3-6 Donald Driver

4-7 DeShaun Foster

5-6 Jeremy Shockey

6-7 Rod Smith

7-6 Tom Brady

8-7 Terry Glenn

Glad to get Brady in the seventh round although if there wasn't that much value I would have waited on a QB

Sadly, the guy at 8-2 took Deangelo away from me, but aside from that I like my squad.

I think you have one of the standout squads. The Driver pick may look like a reach, but I love it. I think Foster could be this year's Thomas Jones.

maybe not much af a reach though as I know WRs FLY off the board in this format.

Alexander went 1, LJ at two and LT2 at 3

Thanks Donny

And thanks EBF - one of the tough drafters in this group.

I thought the choice at 3-6 was almost a coin flip between Driver and Ward (based on the assumption that I thought Foster whom I really like this year would fall - and he did). But I think Favre has a better year in his (presumed) farewell tour and Driver will get the ball a lot, plus as has been said, it is ppr and you can play four WR.

Ward and Driver were my targets at 3.12 and 4.01 (although I would've considered Bush if he had fallen). Santana Moss isn't one of "my guys", but he was a decent consolation prize.Dayne at 5.12 could make or break me. I'm hoping none of those trade rumors prove true. Denver didn't show any interest in RBs in the draft. I hope that carries over.

After I see the draft I'll let you know what I think.

I like what EBF has done, although I'm not a huge Holt fan this year.

Nice start..love the first four picks..would have to see the entire draft before saying much about those next four picks. Both Dayne and White IMO are big time hit or miss plays. If they trade Brown you should be Ok but something tells me the White kid may get off to a slow start and might be in the bust at least for this year. I hope not tho for your chances. I also cant see them trading Brown until they no more about White and Henry. Henry would be the guy to trade unless they just cant get anything for him? What he heck happened to that guy..that year in Buff. he looked like a real good one. Denver is definetly in the market for a RB. Maybe Chris Brown(again i dont see how they can trade him now) or Duckett at the moment.

Yea. That's the risk of an early draft. When I made the pick, Dayne looked to be in good position to compete for the starting role. Fast forward a day and there are new rumors that the Broncos might acquire Duckett or Brown. There's not much that you can do about things like this. I'll just have to keep my fingers crossed.

an observation....and a prediction:--no McNabb/Big Ben...or any QB, thru 8 rounds

a bit of an upset, knowing what I know of EBF

--under/over on rostered WR's by drafts end:

8 1/2

I do like this team, despite the potential Den-RB situation...shocker, BTW, that this jumped up and bit somebody in the butt---that front office is enough to drive FF'ers to :banned:

I bet Big ben is still on the board and possilby Mcnabb too but he may have went in the 6 or 7th unless someone reached on him? Qb's can be had late in drafts this year its seems that idea is catching on in FF. After Manning not many are taken until the fifth round and lots are availabe in the later rounds 10 on

Happy now? :nerd:

We will post the draft results for our teams and answer other questions about players as we go. These are $ leagues, so in fairness to people in the league who don't frequent these boards, the entire draft should not be linked or posted.

Through nine rounds, there have now been ten QB taken, eleven with EBF's Big Ben at 10-1. Aside from Manning, the other nine were taken from 6-9 to 9-3.

Update on my team

1-6 Clinton Portis

2-7 Larry Fitzgerald

3-6 Donald Driver

4-7 DeShaun Foster

5-6 Jeremy Shockey

6-7 Rod Smith

7-6 Tom Brady

8-7 Terry Glenn

9-6 Kevan Barlow

Yeah, maybe I broke protocol by posting the draft board from the first satellite I was in on the boards here. But, I look at it as a learning experience for the other FBG members and player values are going to change so much between now and the beginning of September that I would think it wouldn't be a huge deal. However, I apologize to any of those other satellite members if they thought I breached some confidentiality there.

after the draft is over I dont see the big deal

BSS - there was a lot of discussion about this last year on the WCOFF message boards and the view was that if YOU have paid your money to play in a satellite league then you have that information - that people who are not in the league are not entitled to the information whether about a particular drafter or more info for ADP since they were not participants.

I see no harm if rad and EBF and others here want to discuss the draft, their picks, their draft thoughts etc. - we are a slightly different community here - but I understand if we posted the whole draft board or the draft of a team who is not an acitve member here that they would feel that the information is NOT public.

we have NOT entered an alternate universe after all!and YES...I'm happy there is still 1 or 2 things held sacred around here, including EBF's  for a certain :towelwave:
