We Do Have NFL Football Airing This Sunday (1 Viewer)

Hey, I realize it's only the kickoff of the 2009 NFL preseason, but at least we're getting some things kicked off.

While yes, the preseason can quickly turn into a doldrum for many, it's also an opportunity to witness how teams are developing with new players or without former ones, and if the rookies have anything to show. So let's go!

What are we looking for here?

T.O. opposite Lee Evans. How's the whole chemistry looking with Trent Edwards?

Speaking of chemistry, what about that Titans defense minus DT Haynesworth? How will that effect the secondary?

The Bills RBs. The Titans RBs.

Will Vince Young have anything to show?

Those few questions just off the top of my mind. What about the Titans WRs? Are they clicking with Collins?

What else do we anticipate looking in on?

ah yes, my annual ritual of getting all excited for NFL football, gearing up with some beer and snacks, sitting down on my couch, and then...4 plays into the game realizing that its crappy pre season football and i actually have a month to go before any real football is played.

I hear ya, but it's still a great opportunity to get a look at some possible up-and-coming players that may not get to see the field come September but yet give us some notable anticipation of seeing them produce in coming regular seasons, if not later THIS season. You never know. In other cases, you want to know if some of these backup QBs are truly capable of leading their teams if and when called upon. Vince Young? Patrick Ramsey? Who will it be?

:lmao: :goodposting: Pre-season is like the Superbowl for deep dynasty league players!

Jared Cook will be the hottest pimped player on the message boards Monday morning.
I dont think Jared is that hot. But who am I to judge... I like chicks. As for the game, I can't wait for it. Good night of UFC on Saturday and then wake up, do some grilling and get ready for some football.

Kickoff is scheduled for Sunday, August 9, 2009 at 8:00 PM ET and the game will be televised nationally by NBC.

Still nice to see the familiar laundry moving about on the field of battle. And, of course, I'll be betting on the game. :blackdot:

We'll see the starters for one series max, and running some pretty vanilla stuff to boot. There's not a whole lot to see in this game except for who's gonna survive the first cut at training camp.

Yeah, I am really excited about pre-season this year!

I think the Tennessee quarterback situation will be the most compelling storyline to monitor here.

Jeff Fisher announced his rough plan for the game: Kerry Collins will play a few series, and Vince Young will take over after that into the third quarter.

Patrick Ramsey will go next, and Chris Mortensen's son Alex could get a few snaps.

It's a key preseason for Young to stabilize his status with the team and within the league. If he falters, there are many in Tennessee (as well as myself) that believe Ramsey could pass Young on the depth chart. NFL Network's Jason LaCanfora said something similar Friday.
