Weather ALERT: Cards/Jets tomorrow could be nasty (1 Viewer)

Raider Nation

Devil's Advocate
Having Warner and Cotchery in one league, I've been tracking this storm. Giants Stadium weather for Sunday

Cross your fingers and hope this storm front somehow avoids the Meadowlands.

Edit: different storm system than the mini-hurricane I got caught in today.... thank god.

I live in Rhode Island, and I was between here and Boston today. Let me tell ya, if the storm we got today is the same one headed towards the New York area, it could be an UGLY game. There were times it was raining so hard, people were pulled over on the highway because you couldn't see two feet in front of your own car.

:toilet:

Edited to fix link.
I was just coming here to post this. Someone refresh my memory, but I'm thinking Warner had issues in adverse weather conditions back in his St. Louis days. Anyone recall?

Having the same issue , with the same players as the OP .....

Warner scares the crap outta me in this type of weather..... my only option is Dereck Anderson.. *GuLP*

And add in the fact this is their second straight game on the East Coast. I may just go with Delhomme this week.

National Weather Service has NY at a 60% Chance of Showers with a chance of a passing T-Storm. Not that big of a deal right now.

as long as it isn't windy, rain shouldn't be that big of a negative for the offense.

also, I had read previously that Arizona didn't fly back home after last week's game and just stayed on the East Coast for the week preparing for this week's game. so no jet lag per se this week.

That storm hit NJ first then moved Northeast, don't think it's going to turn around and come back  It's a totally different weather system, not as severe. Should be ok. I'm playing Hightower due to Bye weeks.

That storm hit us in the southern east coast yesterday. lots of drizzly rain, no wind... shouldn't be too bad if the main bands of constant rain have passed New Jersey.

Weather forecasts are right about 50% of the time. The storm does not look that bad right now. I wouldn't worry about it.

I've never heard of a team doing this. Do you have a link? Not that I don't believe you, I'm more curious than anything.ETA: Nevermind, I found a story on it. Whis experimenting with cutting down travel. Interesting.

I have. There have been several teams over the years who have stayed the week in the Bay Area if they played the Niners and the Raiders back to back. TB is one (only remembered because Meshawn mentioned on the radio yesterday).

I've been thinking of starting Warner over Brees... I beleive in the past that I have heard or read that rain without wind can often be a positive for the passing game as the WR's know what spot they're going to,but its harder for the defender to run backward, sideways etc on the wet field.. Any truth to that... does a potential drizzly day help Warner?

Well, I just consulted the FBG weather forecast for tomorrow and it says:

A high of 74F

Cloudy with a 660% chance of thunder showers

Wind - N at 4 MPH

I'm no mathematician, but those are pretty good odds for rain :banned:
