Weather-Field Alert for San Diego/Miami today. (1 Viewer)

Ministry of Pain

Footballguy
The Canes and Noles tore the field up something awful this week. Search the net and you can find an article where SPorano was already nervous because they laid down new sod this week as the Marlins are done with the field for Base(Yawn)Ball.

But the big thing was/is that there was about 6" of rain that fell last night, torrential rain hammered N/Dade/S.Broward counties a lot yesterday evening. That field is going to be torn up, very slow IMO...these thigns could be good news for Miami.

Dolphins Blog - Miami Herald

This guy says the field looks good this morning....take it for what it is worth....

3. How well does the Dolphin Stadium sod drain and hold up after getting soaked and trampled Saturday during the UM-FSU inundation. I remind you, in case you didn't watch the game or read this blog the past several weeks, the baseball infield is finally gone. We have a football field again!

[uPDATE: The field looks great! It's painted and it's dry.]

does this help the SD defense? Trying to chose between them and Buffalo.
I'm in the exact same boat and I went ahead and made the switch to SD. Although Warner tends to be a statue at times and likes to fumble, I really could see a shootout in Arizona today and if the field is as bad as we're made to believe in Miami I think that would only help the D....

Hmm. SD defense gets Cooper back, they won't be surprised by the single wing stuff, so wondering with the field if they become a better play?

It's not expected to rain during the game? I'm a little concerned about the effects on the kicking game (Kaeding)

I changed back to Buffalo but haven't decided to keep it that way. I know Penny is a QB that doesn't make many mistakes and the offense is so conservative that means less chance for turnovers/sacks, while Arizona is a trouble prone offense always. I have Warner starting so I am torn

I just sent half my team for Tomlinson last week... please God don't let him turn an ankle or blow out a knee.

Need a little divine :goodposting: here!

Guys-

See my post above. The quote from the Miami Herald guy is "UPDATE: The field looks great! It's painted and it's dry." It's ok to be concerned but don't over-react here unless you have a 50-50 decision already.

thanks I'm acting like I never read this post

NFL fields are usually over some massive drainage bed and with the one in Miami and all the rain Im sure they some sort of rock-type drainage bed under the fields connected to piping to pump the water out.
