This is where we ask questions and offer help.

Thank you to all the posters who come here to offer that help.

A couple notes:

I attempt to give well considered responses to all questions posted. I can't get to everything, but I'll try.

1) This only works if people participate. If you ask for help it is good form to offer help to someone else.

2) It helps if you post the matchup. e.g. Cousins vs Den or James Cook @ Mia

3) Please post important league scoring considerations (e.g. PPR, super-flex etc).

4) Please go easy on the nicknames, save that for other threads. We can't help if we don't know who you are talking about.

View this as an exercise to help focus your thoughts about teams in general. Players you own may not be involved in these WDIS questions but certainly you will own players on many of these teams. Analyzing other players will help you identify things you may have otherwise not considered.

Let's move on to week 3

I'll start:

Flex Starter PPR Scoring:
Jordan Mason @ LA Rams
David Montgomery @ ARI
Malik Nabers @ CLE
Jameson Williams @ ARI

I'll start:

Flex Starter:
Jordan Mason @ LA Rams
David Montgomery @ ARI
Malik Nabers @ CLE
Jameson Williams @ ARI

Great options! you don't mention scoring system so i'll go with

Mason->Nabers->Williams->Monty

Although he doesn't catch, just don't think you can bench Mason right now, Connor just ran all over the Rams. Nabers a close second, he's tearing it up and I might lean his way in ppr.

Thanks. My bad. Fixed to add that it's PPR Scoring.

Might just lean Nabers in ppr, he's getting all kinds of work right now, targets galore, short and deep. Mason good for 80+ and a score till CMAC comes back. Nabers in ppr by a hair probably.

After losing both Pacheco and AJB this week, I'm having to start a less than stellar option in the flex. 1 PPR. Who you like from this group:

Losivas vs Was
M.Wilson vs Det
Mooney vs KC

I'm leaning Losivas as Was has 32nd ranked def vs WRs. Talk me off the ledge.

I'm here with this..

Standard scoring, RB/WR + 2 flex of either so can go RB/WR/WR/WR or RB/RB/RB/WR or two of each

Starting Hall, Achane and Collins - all have given me no reason to bench any of them, so need 1:

Metcalf vs Dolphins - strong candidate, good matchup
Monty @ Cards - been good but Gibbs clearly better?
Pickens vs Chargers - softer matchup this week possibly
Ford vs Giants - thought I had a cheap RB1 for a few weeks but Foreman picking away at his workload

I think it depends if Tee Higgins plays or not. If he does I probably lean Mooney.

It's between Metcalf and Monty for sure.

I think, if Walker misses another game I roll with Metcalf.

But remember Monty is getting equal touches in Detroit, he is certainly worth staring of you don't like DK this week.

DK>Monty

With Deebo set to miss time I need one of these two.
TIA
Mooney v KC
Dionte Johnson v LV
I have no idea what to expect from Dalton. The Panthers looked so bad I wonder if it can all be put on Young.

I expect them to be better with Dalton. But the Raiders have a strong defense and the Panthers are difficult to trust.

Conversely the Falcons have some mojo going.

Mooney>Dionte

Alright this is comically crowded, good problem to have. I have seven players projected in the range of 13.1 - 15.7 for my flex spot .... Two of them are Quentin Johnston and Swift, I'm not considering those.

But among the other five, choose one (PPR):

Etienne @ BUF
Olave vs PHI
Metcalf vs MIA
Smith-Njigba vs MIA
Jameson Williams @ ARI

Only thing I would add here is, this is assuming I start Godwin, because he's projected at 18.1. However, Godwin is going against Denver who has allowed under 300 passing yards total in the first two games.

Tough one, all I can say for sure is not Montgomery, but I think I'd have to go with Mason. Though I hate that he doesn't get targets.
Monty not getting any respect. Through two games 33 touches for 163 yards (4.9/touch) and two TDs and Gibbs, who most of us consider to be an auto start, has 35 touches for 183 yards (5.1/touch) and one TD. The principal difference between the two is 5 receptions (7.4 per) for Monty and 11 receptions (5.1 per) for Gibbs.

Detroit has the very definition of a timeshare in the backfield.

I'd still ride Godwin, he is getting crazy volume.

For your other I'd go with Metcalf, given that KWII is most likely not playing I expect them to continue to air it out a bit and Grubbs is now getting the handle on NFL playcalling.

.5 PPR I’m favored by 10

Pick 2
D’Andre Swift at Colts
Zamir White vs Panthers
Brian Thomas at Bills

Leaning White and Thomas. Swift looks terrible.

Pick 1
CJ Stroud at Vikings
Dak Prescott vs Baltimore

Thanks!

Yes Godwin

Personally I probably ride the hot hand with DK. I believe KWIIIs going to miss another game so I question the Seahawks ability to grind clock on the ground.

DK>Jameson>Etienne

Agree. Bench Swift.

Stroud by a good margin. Particularly with Mixon hobbled.

Need a qb

Daniels @ cinci
Or
Carr vs phili

Leaning carr
I would have thought Carr as a shoe-in but Daniels ranked higher this week. I still think Carr has a better offense, and is going against a struggling defense who doesn't get pressure consistently. I'd go Carr.

More of a general question but what do you think the impact of Tua absence has on Achane. Assuming both healthy would you start Walker III over Achane?

I think they are both good options but if the Dolphins want to do anything on offense it will probably have to run through Achane.

How about a DST Starter? My league favors turnover and sacks. 2 points per pick, 1 point per sack, forced fumble is 1 point, and recovering said fumble is 2 points.

For instance I started the chargers DST last week and they only got 9 points even though they limited CAR to 3 in real life. The week before they got 15 points against LV even though they allowed 10 points in real life. So targeting turnovers here is key, more so than limiting overall points put up.

Can roll with the chargers again this week against PIT, but they are ultra conservative and I do think it will be low scoring but not a lot of turnovers. Available on waivers:

Bucs vs DEN
LV vs CAR
SEA vs MIA
Bills vs JAX
Bears @ IND

Bucs I know are missing some pieces on defense but DEN does turnover the ball with Nix and I think they'll have to play catchup. CAR is trash but maybe Dalton is slight step up from Young? MIA playing a backup QB at the 12th man is favorable, but Hill and Achane are still forces to be reckoned with. JAX is not good this year and Bills actually look strong and are at home. Bears look good too..

Any help TIA.

I think MIA, JAX and IND will go heavy run and Dalton is steady so Bucs vs DEN is the play for me

I picked up Seattle this week as my defensive streaming option. The Raiders were also available but the others were not.

I can absolutely see going with the Bucs this week. It's a great matchup overall. I do think the Seahawks are more aggressive and have been mostly better than the Bucs so far (more sacks & turnovers).

It's a close call but I think

SEA>TB

Here one:
FFPC scoring:
Need TWO of these flexes:

D.Singletary @ Cleve
J.Reed @ Tenn
B.Cooks vs Balt
A.Thielen @ LAV

Defense question.

* NYJ vs NE - NE's offensive line has been terrible and now two starters are already ruled out. NYJ's home opener. Thursday night game which is usually low scoring. However, NJY run D has shown some weakness and Brissett has done a good job not turning it over.

or

* SF @LAR - SF D smarting after a loss to MN heads to LAR where Stafford is down O lineman, Kupp and Nucua. Stafford and McVay could find a way to get it done and Kyren still there.

Which?

Thanks

Like you said, injuries to NE are a key here. I don’t trust SF quite as much right now.

flex, PPR

Goedert @ NO
Jennings @ Rams
Kirk @ Buffalo MNF

Currently 2-0, favored this week.

1 PPR projected 50/50 matchup

Pick 2 WR’s:

Tyreek Hill at Miami
Chris Olave vs Philly
Drake London vs KC
DK Metcalf vs Miami
Malik Nabers at Cleveland

I feel best about Olave due to the matchup and possible shootout. Nabers has a terrible matchup. Hill with a backup, on the road against a couple solid CB’s. Which 2 would you suggest?

Thanks!!

Standard scoring

Hate to have to ask but the way Green Bay took away the deep ball leaving him to struggle in the short game has me pretty concerned about ARich

Please pick 1

ARich vs Bears
or
Geno Smith vs Dolphins

Thank you

All of them? Nice team.
Olave seems like a safe play. I like DK next but it’s super close.

A better question than it should be. I think I’d still roll with ARich. But I’m actually considering benching him for Darnold. Won’t, but it’s tempting.
