Week 1 Injury Thread (1 Viewer)

Bradley back in. The NFLs stand on concussions is obviously all lip service.
You diagnosed him with a concussion?
Are you watching the game?
Eagles admit concusion for both Bradley and Cobb and neither should have gone back out on the field. Both will not be allowed to return for the 2nd half.
Hope the NFL looks into the Eagles allowing them back in the game, particularly with Bradley.

Grant on the sideline helmet off and still limping.

Grant is on the sideline. doesnt look too bad
I'm guessing one owns Grant and the other is playing against Grant.
Neither for me. IMO if GB didnt have that big lead at the time, Grant would have returned. I dont think it was bad enough like the claims made (ie. no need to rush out and pick up Jackson)

Not at all. I'm stating what I see. The other is just speculating and pretending to be an athletic doctor
I fail to see where I was pretending to be a doctor. You saw him limping. I saw him testing his legs on the side line. He wasnt on crutches or anything...so yeah he looked good.

Re: Grant

Boot + Limp = a relatively significant issue for a RB.

If the Redzone was reporting that he was coming back in the second half, I'd consider canceling my subscription.

Don't they put these guys in protective boots all the time these days? I'm not saying he's in the clear or anything, but I don't think the boot is a clear indicator that he's seriously hurt. They could just do that to immobilize it so he can walk around the sidelines and not cause more pain.

McCarthy said at his press conference that Grant hurt his ankle. Not sure how bad. And Justin Harrell looks like he tore his ACL

From the Packers beat reporter Greg Bedard:

RB Ryan Grant was wearing a boot on his right foot and has a pretty good sprain. Could not have gone back in.Not ready to give up on next week, but from all appearances it will be a challenge for him. But Grant doesn't miss games.
With Jackson providing the same if not better production my initial guess is that Grant misses at least 1 game.

Maybe I'm missing something here but if Grant misses significant time, isn't Jackson the #1 waiver pickup right now by a mile...?

Re: GrantBoot + Limp = a relatively significant issue for a RB.
Thanks Doc. Maybe it is a pre-cautionary measure. We'll see in the coming days.
I see - so anyone offering a thought now is asserting themselves as a medical professional?! As you stated, we shall see in the coming days. Until then, I promise not to go on a forum and share an opinion reegarding anything medical. Dude, I suggest Xanax. Damn, I did it again.

According to Schwartz, Stafford's return timetable is "still up in the air". Will be on the injury report this week.

Adam_Schefter

QB Matthew Stafford has second-degree separated shoulder; planning to visit Dr. James Andrews as early as this week. Out this week at least.

Surprised this isn't getting more play, because it is going to be a HUGE story in a few days. Appears Hunter Hillenmeyer will retire due to a concussion, not really relevant fantasy wise, but it shows how serious SMART NFL players are taking brain injuries. The idiot in the Eagles organization that let Stew Bradley on the field should be fired...what a horrible, horrible decision.
