a lot of talk in the Denver area that Hillis might steal the show like Droughns did a few years back, I wait and see on Torain this week, IMO

I watched the Broncos game on Sunday and Hillis looked very good and was very solid catching passes but he's 6'2" 250 and I wouldn't call him the quickest or shiftiest player I've ever seen, I'd have a hard time picturing him as a featured RB though I could see him vulture some TDs and become effective on short yardage situations. Droughns is more like 220 with and semi shifty/quick he fits the "mould" of an every down back much better than Hillis does. That being said it is Shanahan so who knows what he'll pull out of his ###.

I just heard Shanahan on his news conference say that Torain has had a good practice and had a few carries in his first game and that he has confidence in him. Of course, what else would he say. I,m rolling the dice with Torain Thursday night since they are giving up 150 yds per game on the ground.

Shanahan scares me - Torain could touch the ball once and then be done for the day because he didn't hustle back to the huddle or some BS like that. Slaton is MONEY! He posted good numbers against the Vikings D and that is no easy task. NOBODY runs against Pitt. Start slaton and don't think twice about it.

Tough call. I hate to bench Slaton but I am thinking Torain could get decent yardage and maybe a goal line touch or two. I don't see Slaton punching it into the end zone against the ravens. I am thinking that if Shanahan doesn't want to look like a fool for touting Torain as a Terrell Davis look alike, he has to give him a chance to succeed against the pourous Brown rushing defense. We'll see.P.S. I know Slaton will get 70-80 total yards but I am in a TD heavy scoring league and I like Torains chances at a TD better than Slatons unless it comes on a swing pass out of the backfield. I dunno
