Week 10 Waiver Wire (1 Viewer)

Mark Sanchez - If Foles's left shoulder injury ends up costing him time.

Terrance West - Supposed to get lion share of carries in CLE today. Even if not starting, has worked way back into picture.

Foles to miss rest of today's game, so Sanchez could be an add for week 10 playing in that PHI offense.

Here are a few others:

Dolphins D/ST: Play at DET next but then get BUF. Looking great today and have been very strong lately.

Wheeden: Romo didn't go today. Could be bye week fill-in

RGIII: Got the start today. Could be bye week fill-in.

Cowboys D/ST: Play JAX in week 10.

Jordan Reed owners will be cutting bait with the Bye, so Heath Miller may be a big add.
Good point. Charles Clay looking very good today and could be on the wire also. He's been very inconsistent though, but looking a bit better as of late.

Don't help next week but both Kyle Rudolph and Tyler Eifert are eligible to return in Week 11. Both had some decent stats prior to going down.

Yes, HMiller may be only a rental if he reverts to mediocrity.

Let's add Alfred Blue. Foster pulled up hurt, untouched, and went to the locker room. Perhaps byes have forced owners to drop this valuable handcuff. Remains to be seen if Foster will return, however.

Add Damien Williams or Daniel Thomas if Lamar Miller's shoulder injury turns out to something that shelves him for a game or more.

Hurns seemed to be the preferred wr today, although it seems to be a situation that is hard to trust or put stock into.

One other TE stream, name to add is Owen Daniels, who has led BAL in targets of late and is at that stage in his career when he will sack it up and play hurt.

Miller with a whopping one catch for 14 yards.

Miller can still have utility, but he's much more valuable as a blocker with more dynamic, speedier receivers at the Steelers' disposal -- which has pretty much been his role all of this season.

All this to say that this is another great reason to speculate on a player's given waiver worth after the week's games have actually been played.

I don't mind speculation, or preemptive discussion, which is the intent of the posters I've quoted. But too many of these threads this year have been rife with guesswork far before the games actually kick off.

Off my soapbox, you can take my 2 cents or leave them in the pile with all the other opinions.

Orton has a plus matchup week 12 versus Jets and seems to be putting up solid stats for "Big Ben 6 touchdown machine" owners looking for a bye week plug in.

Let's face it, if you have been starting Big Ben, you are likely in need of a backup QB.

Not a ton of talent available in my league at qb and might be worth grabbing now if Orton is out there.

I'm not ready to drop Reed but I am targeting Rivera and Clay.

ETA - I would think Sanchez is already no. 1 on everyone's list (or was before AP reappeared). Also the Mia defense is looking ferocious (possible trade for).

Peterson

Sanchez

Sims

Need a TE, so:

Rivera

Clay

DST:

Steelers

Just a chiming in to say I agree with you - I've noticed that too, and it makes it tough to read through these threads, trying to track it back to see which comments were posted before the player played and which were after.

Adrian Peterson if you can hold a dead spot for a week or two. Vikings are on bye and he may reach a resolve to his case and suspension. Not impossible he can be on the field week 10.

Very fair and I understand. I took the convo to be casual and didn't realize this is an important thread.

Ben Tate is probably on a few wires. Still had 14 touches this week and they're getting him involved in the passing game.

:coffee:

yeah, pretty sure that would be impossible
Any NFL repercussions from the "I smoked a little weed" pre testimony fess up?
I don't know this for a fact but I am thinking that this confession doesn't hurt as they would be looking only at any failed drug tests they administer.

I think the biggest thing holding AP from getting back if a settlement is reached is that I doubt the NFL looks at reinstating him until the Ray Rice issue is settled.

ESPN's Chris Mortensen stated on NFL Insiders that it's "very possible" Adrian Peterson returns to play for the Vikings this season.
Mort initially reported the Vikings had essentially washed their hands of A.P. Per Mortensen now, the team is "softening" its stance. Peterson should be picked up in all 12- and 14-team leagues this week in anticipation of a potential return during the fantasy playoffs. Peterson would rejoin the team with fresh legs, and likely render rookie Jerick McKinnon a change-of-pace back.

It would be. I meant week 11.
No way Peterson plays again this year regardless if his case is resolved. Both the league and the Vikings don't want all the bad publicity that would follow. They took a beating over both the Peterson and Rice situations and will resolve both of those in the offseason. Peterson is done for 2014.

I love when people just make stuff up and call it a fact.

Dolphins D/ST: Play at DET next but then get BUF. Looking great today and have been very strong lately.
Like the D a lot, but they do still have Den/NE on their schedule in Weeks 12/15. And I wouldn't count on a repeat of Week 1 with the Pats.
A good ww defense to pair them with would be the Colts who host Jacksonville week 12 and host Houston week 15.
:goodposting:

As an added bonus, the Colts have a bye and then play the Pats, so you have plenty of time to grab them.

Question is whether to chase the short-term points this week with Dallas vs Jax or grab Miami now as a ROS play. In my case, considering that I'm facing Big Ben, I think I need all the points I can get. But there's a good chance Miami may not last another week on the WW (just realized they're now the No. 1 DST overall).

All these def mentioned have been long gone in my leagues....

So what are the rb adds? West...maybe sankey. Any others?
Doubt Sankey is available in many leagues. Hes been owned all year in both my leagues. Not that hes been great or anything Id lean him.
You like sankey over west? Guess his situation is clearer. What about guys like polk or reddick?
West over all of those guys for sure. To many backs in det and ten. Don't see polk doing much with McCoy and sproles healthy.

is it certain that bush comes back this week?

If he's on the wire and he gets the misdemeanor plea deal, and you don't spend all your FAAB/use your priority, you are the guppie.

Isn't Peterson just on the exempt list? I don't remember seeing the NFL actually suspend him. In theory couldn't the Vikings activate him for a game whenever they want? I thought that's what Carolina almost did with Hardy last week. The NFL might step in, but with how they've been handling things I doubt they'd rush to suspend in case it turns out to be a mistake.

The Vikings don't want bad press, but they also want people to still care/watch the games.

Luck, Rivers and Brady on bye weeks.

I'm picking up Sanchez (1st choice) or Glennon (2nd choice) to start in place of Luck.

I love this site, the hype on Sanchez has my opponent starting him against me this week, couldnt be happier. He is not good, doesnt matter the offense, coach or team he is on. Byes or injuries, starting this guy makes you as desperate as it gets.

Two words: Butt Fumble
