Week 11 Injury Thread (1 Viewer)

West has a hamstring injury and his return is questionable.

I'm reading that he went into the locker room.

One of my leagues is open waiver. Picked up Coleman when I heard about Freeman's concussion. Then swapped him for Allen when I heard about Forsett. I figure Coleman's more talented, but Forsett is almost certainly out for the year.

(And in case you're wondering, why yes, I do feel like a vulture.)
Congrats?
Ha, traded for Aiken two weeks ago, so now I have Baltimore's RB1/WR1 ... and the QB the rest of the way is Matt Schaub.#fml
How much do all think that downgrades Javorius Allen's prospects?

Who knows? We haven't seen Schaub in a meaningful game in more than two years.

I think next week's match-up with Cleveland is juicy enough that they could rely on Allen and just ask Schaub to be a game manager. ROS, it definitely downgrades Allen's potential. Just don't ask me how much.

Just traded Forsett last night for AJ Green....but because of the three day wiating period for our trades....insisted on a clause where if a player got hurt, the owner of the healthy player could cancel the trade. SMH.....no...SMDH.
That is a terrible rule. I don't think I would play in a league like that.

I don't understand why there are waiting periods anyway. Propose the trade, accept the trade, process the trade.
No kidding, what's the damn point? I despise league rules that act as training wheels.

I've had leagues where it was baked into the default settings (Yahoo?) If two teams completed a trade on Saturday and wanted the guys available for that week's game, we just asked the commish to push the trade through manually.

We used to have waiting periods but we finally figured out that we needed to trust each other not to collude. If we ever get to a point where there are owners that are not trusted then we kick them out. Probably only works in tight knit leagues.

Problem is that I've seen so many trades that seem like collusion on the surface because one owner appears to be getting fleeced. But when you ask the owner what his motivations were he's always had good reasons and then there are some instances where the owner is an idiot fantasy player but you can't legislate out crappy players (you can only hope to identify them and prey on then before others do).

A lot of leagues have a waiting period. I made a gentlemen's agreement off the rules that there'd be the option to cancel if someone got hurt.
