Week 12 Bragging Thread (1 Viewer)

It's probably against conventional wisdom to start two receivers from the same team, but I started both Branch and Welker against Detroit. They each have two TD receptions so far.

I would like to thank the Jets D for getting me 21 points :goodposting: It made up for starting Jimmy Graham (Get well soon Gates).

Finally I nailed a D this year off the FA list :bag:

Jets D on the FA list?
They are a good D in real life, but are so overatted fantasy wise it's not even funny. The Buccaneers, Browns and Raiders have been more consistent this year. Prior to this week they were not even top 10. I would place them on waivers even after a performance like that, but they have a matchup against the Bears coming up. I definitely will not be playing them next week against the Pats since they will get their usual 5 pts and I can find better plays.

This is the first time I've posted in this thread, but I just had to do it...

Started Bowe, Hillis, Obomanu and Orton, have 173 points on the board and still have Gore, Blair White and Vinatieri to go. What makes it really sweet is I played the #1 team in the league who put a beating on me back in week 1. Not only am I going to beat him by over 100 points, but this just about guarantees me a playoff bye week, top seed, and the regular season points prize.

I had one of those perfect PPR weeks where everyone on my team was reliable and had solid (or better games). Even before Orton and Obamanu went off, I was beating my opponent because of solid 10-20 point days from everyone on my team. It's nice to win a week without having a few players dominate and the rest disappoint.

Kyle Orton - 32.88

Ray Rice - 20.20

Ahmad Bradshaw - 14.30

Greg Jennings - 17.90

Santonio Holmes - 15.40

Jason Witten - 19.90

Mike Thomas - 10.60

Ben Obomanu - 27.90

Dan Carpenter - 17.00

Bear D - 7.00

The only bad call that I made this week was starting Mike Thomas over Hines Ward, but honestly, if I had started Hines Ward, it probably would have been over Obomanu instead of Thomas anyway...so I consider that a win.

Picked up Obomanu off waivers on a hunch and played him, because what good is a hunch like that if you don't go all the way and play him. The guys is owned in 4% of all Yahoo and CBS leagues. Sweet.

I'd like to take this opportunity to thank Derek Anderson for castrating Larry Fitzgerald this week for my opponent.

Good game, D-rock!

Would also like to brag about having Nate Kaeding and his 20 pts!!!

I got 41 points between my Kicker and D  Has to rank somewhere up there as the most points between the two.

My only right to brag this week was that I clinched a playoff spot by the way the games turns out. Even though I put up a combined 100 pts in my last two games, I still got at the worst case scenario guaranteed #6 spot.

Good job! I was in last place after a 4 game losing streak in my keeper league. I'm a new manager. Scrapped the team, drafted M Wallace, (TAM) M Williams, traded Schaub for R White, picked up Hillis, Blount, and Vick (drafted Kolb). I just clinched playoff berth riding another 4 game streak.. of wins. Woooo!
