I don't think it's legal to sit Doug Martin.
Oh I'm sure we'll catch he** for this suggestion. You can never sit your studs in week 13 but if you have another great option, you may want to consider starting him. Many Martin owners have another option. He shouldn't have been taken as your #1 RB this year.

I think a couple of these are off, but for the most part, solid work.

- Doug Martin: I just don't think it's rational in ANY normal league (where you can start 3-4 RBs) to bench this guy. Even if he had a bad game last week. Who's to say he doesn't get any goal line carries this week? TB has a high-powered offense. They will have plenty of opportunities to score. And then there's still that chance he goes off the way he did against MIN, regardless of how well they were defending the run before.

- Rashad Jennings: (START) - A lot of things have changed in JAX offense in the past two weeks (when Jennings was not the lead RB). JAX now has a capable passing game with two dangerous options (not to mention, Marcedes Lewis at TE) so teams will have to respect it a bit more than in the past. This, combined with the fact that BUF has had a tough time stopping the run, makes Jennings a viable FLEX option in my opinion.

- Justin Blackmon: (START) - I think JAX will continue feeding him the ball. While BUF's pass rush has improved as of late, I don't see how he won't manage at least 8+ targets in what could be a high scoring game (update: he was held out of practice today with a groin issue - keep him on the bench if it turns out to remain an issue throughout the week).

- Mikel Leshoure: (START) - If his ankle injury is minor, he should start against IND's weak run defense.

- Jordy Nelson: (START) - Appears 100%. Don't see how you bench him now.

- Steven Jackson: (START) - Been on a tear as of late, and I see him having another solid outing, at least FLEX worthy.

- Reggie Bush: (SIT) - Splitting carries/snaps with Daniel Thomas. This matchup could get ugly early. I don't recommend gambling on garbage time points.

- Andre Roberts: (SIT) - Can't trust any ARI receiver at this point of the season unless you're desperate. Just two games ago he put up a dud.

- Eric Decker: (START) - TB has a weak secondary. This may be the week where he turns it around. As you mentioned, Manning is dangerous at home, with 300+ YPG.

- Mike Williams (START) - I expect Freeman to go to Mike Williams more if the Broncos take Vincent Jackson out of the game (like they did for all the years he was a Charger).

- Ryan Mathews (START) - I think he turns it around this game. CIN run defense is weak. I expect 100+ yards from scrimmage

- Marcel Reece (SIT) - Word is that Darren McFadden will be returning this week. However, Coach Allen recently said Reece will be used as the primary back while McFadden gets into football shape. Still, if McFadden is active, I wouldn't risk starting Reece if I have other comparable options (i.e. a guy like Moreno).

- Jonathan Dwyer (START*) - If Ben plays, I would bite the bullet and start him.

- Felix Jones (SIT) - Demarco Murray is expected back. Even if it's a timeshare, I wouldn't start Felix, who's been mediocre so far in the starting role (whether its him to blame or the line).

- Santana Moss (START) - Plays very well in division games and burned the Giants earlier in the season. I would go with my gut and start him.

Great start :lmao:

I don't think there is anyone who plays fantasy football who expected what happened last night. To the point where it was the first time in 55 games Drew Brees didnt throw a touchdown. hey I played julio jones and colston in a league, terrible start but thankfully its a meaningless game. No re-do's in fantasy football

I think a couple of these are off, but for the most part, solid work.- Doug Martin: I just don't think it's rational in ANY normal league (where you can start 3-4 RBs) to bench this guy. Even if he had a bad game last week. Who's to say he doesn't get any goal line carries this week? TB has a high-powered offense. They will have plenty of opportunities to score. And then there's still that chance he goes off the way he did against MIN, regardless of how well they were defending the run before.- Rashad Jennings: (START) - A lot of things have changed in JAX offense in the past two weeks (when Jennings was not the lead RB). JAX now has a capable passing game with two dangerous options (not to mention, Marcedes Lewis at TE) so teams will have to respect it a bit more than in the past. This, combined with the fact that BUF has had a tough time stopping the run, makes Jennings a viable FLEX option in my opinion.- Justin Blackmon: (START) - I think JAX will continue feeding him the ball. While BUF's pass rush has improved as of late, I don't see how he won't manage at least 8+ targets in what could be a high scoring game (update: he was held out of practice today with a groin issue - keep him on the bench if it turns out to remain an issue throughout the week).- Mikel Leshoure: (START) - If his ankle injury is minor, he should start against IND's weak run defense.- Jordy Nelson: (START) - Appears 100%. Don't see how you bench him now.- Steven Jackson: (START) - Been on a tear as of late, and I see him having another solid outing, at least FLEX worthy.- Reggie Bush: (SIT) - Splitting carries/snaps with Daniel Thomas. This matchup could get ugly early. I don't recommend gambling on garbage time points.- Andre Roberts: (SIT) - Can't trust any ARI receiver at this point of the season unless you're desperate. Just two games ago he put up a dud.- Eric Decker: (START) - TB has a weak secondary. This may be the week where he turns it around. As you mentioned, Manning is dangerous at home, with 300+ YPG.- Mike Williams (START) - I expect Freeman to go to Mike Williams more if the Broncos take Vincent Jackson out of the game (like they did for all the years he was a Charger). - Ryan Mathews (START) - I think he turns it around this game. CIN run defense is weak. I expect 100+ yards from scrimmage- Marcel Reece (SIT) - Word is that Darren McFadden will be returning this week. However, Coach Allen recently said Reece will be used as the primary back while McFadden gets into football shape. Still, if McFadden is active, I wouldn't risk starting Reece if I have other comparable options (i.e. a guy like Moreno).- Jonathan Dwyer (START*) - If Ben plays, I would bite the bullet and start him.- Felix Jones (SIT) - Demarco Murray is expected back. Even if it's a timeshare, I wouldn't start Felix, who's been mediocre so far in the starting role (whether its him to blame or the line).- Santana Moss (START) - Plays very well in division games and burned the Giants earlier in the season. I would go with my gut and start him.
I Love this reply. that is what makes FF so great, its a lot of opinion and "gut" decisions. I would listen to our podcast, we throw some solid facts beyond what was posted on here.

Thanks for the time and effort. Not sure how you can recommend you sit Jordy Nelson and start Greg Jennings though. Nelson is healthy and Jennings is coming off an injury where he missed 8-9 games. First game back and reports are that he'll be limited in playing time. You got this one backwards.

i think this list while people don't agree with every choice makes you double check people you think are "given studs" do your own homework and see if you can improve your own starting lineup. He gives reasons why he thinks there's justification right or wrong it's helpful.

Well this is a pretty stupid reply. They're called predictions, not guarantees. There was absolutely nothing wrong with his projections, and if you were making them, you'd probably have a very similar looking set.

Yes. We suggested you start J. Jones, R. White , and M Ryan against one of the worst statistical defenses in league history. Yes, they are opinions but they are based on trends and past performance. In the Saints Atlanta meeting earlier this year, it was a fantasy football smorgasbord.

They'll be a ton of owners that miss the playoffs this year because of this Saints - Falcons game.

Here is what I am noticing in the Thursday night games. Defenses are outperforning the offenses. Not in every case but most. Why? with the short weeks, how many new, creative plays can you implement? so, the offenses run a VERY similar offense of "best plays" of the season and most likely past 2-3 games. So, defenses, even bad ones, are a lot more prepared. Better defenses like Atlantas become dominant and shut down prolific offenses like the Saints.

START DeAngelo Williams

SIT Doug Martin, Ray Rice, and Jonathan Dwyer

I know this takes a lot of work to do but it is filled with wrong information or it is very misleadingAndrew Luck has 13 touchdown passes this year is true, but it is in 11 games, even if you add in the 5 rushing scores he is still averaging about 1.5 touchdowns a game.

Mikel Leshoure yes he hasn't rushed for a lot of yards, but people had or were on the verge of dropping Shonn Greene when he lit up the Colts defense for 100 + and 3 touchdowns. If Leshoure is healthy I am starting with confidence.

Sitting Jordy Nelson in favor of Greg Jennings? Wow the guy hasn't played in weeks, and they will bring him back slowly and get him into game shape. I like Jordy and Cobb in this matchup.

Aaron Hernandez was limited last week and will be again this week even if he plays, he should be avoided if you have any other healthy tight end on the roster.

New England's defense is way better this year if you look at the stats and the watch the games, and for fantasy purposes they have been gold the last 2 weeks. Last year the Pats gave up an average of 293 in the air and 117 on the ground. This year they give up 289 in the air 101 on the ground, not much stat wise but just watching them you can tell they are getting better and a lot of the yards are put up in garbage time

Beanie Wells got the bulk of the carries last week and while he didn't get a lot of yards he got 2 scores and the Jets give up 142 on the ground a week, if you were ever going to count on Beanie Wells this is the week

You can't bench Doug Martin period, the Broncos just gave up over 100 to Jamal Charles and he is the only weapon on offense for the Chiefs. The Broncos aren't the 85 Bears or 2000 Ravens

You are benching Decker because he had 4, 5 and 8 targets? 8 targets is just fine and the 4 and 5 target games were blow outs of Carolina and San Diego (Chargers scored a late td to make it semi close.

Chargers have the 5th best rushing defense in the league and that is a reason to start the Law Firm?

Malcom Floyd hasn't had 70 yards in the last 6 games but he has had 60 + in 4 of them and a touchdown in 3 of them.

Actually Phillip Rivers has been over 15 points in 3 of his last 4. He still sucks though

Brandon Weeden isn't out, the weather could play a role in that game

The Steelers have 5 touchdowns by running backs this year, 2 for Redman 2 for Rainey and 1 for Mendenhall that doesn't even count the Leftwich touchdown

Ahmad Bradshaw plays the Redskins and they are 3rd in the league against the run. Eli and the receivers will have a field day.

Yes. We suggested you start J. Jones, R. White , and M Ryan against one of the worst statistical defenses in league history. Yes, they are opinions but they are based on trends and past performance. In the Saints Atlanta meeting earlier this year, it was a fantasy football smorgasbord.
Just a note:One thing is that trends can change in football.

The Saints have really been playing better defense of late (last three games really). They still have the worst rush defense in the league but it's no longer "historically" bad; they are no longer last or next to last in points allowed or passing yards allowed - they've have done very well vs several backs and receivers of late. They shut down Den Moore; they shut down vern Davis; they limited Gore, controlled Turnewr in teh first game, etc. The defense has played winning football the last two games; the offense has tanked. They also have a very good defensive history vs the Falcs.

I don't think any of that would deter anyone from loading up on falcon players vs saints. If this game was played on a Sunday after both teams had a full week of prep the score would have been in the 30s each

I don't think any of that would deter anyone from loading up on falcon players vs saints. If this game was played on a Sunday after both teams had a full week of prep the score would have been in the 30s each
I looked at a different trend for this game and sat both Ryan and White in the league I had 'em. Over the last six games played, Matt Ryan has tanked every other game--and this was the one where that pattern would fall. Coincidence? maybe. But I sat him. I actually was thinking that he was playing worse ever since Julio has been at less than full speed, and indeed--in the past three games in the same league Roddy White's average has dropped by a couple points from his yearly average as well. To be honest, they had both been a plug and play this season and I likely wouldn't have sat them anyway--but the past two weeks leaving RG3 on my bench has been really painful to watch, and I've got four viable WR1's of whom Roddy has been the least productive--so that of course came into play too. I might not have sat him against the Saints if I hadn't had a reason to look at matchups already.
