Week 13 Game Thread - Jacksonville Jaguars at Houston Texans (1 Viewer)

I don't really care who throws the rock for Houston. I have AJ, Daniels & Slaton all starting. If I can get a combined total of 3TD's out of all of them I will be happy. What scares me is that AJ has 1071 yards and only 3 TD's on the season. Walter has 667 receiving yards but 7 TD's.

With AJ drawing the double coverage all the time he still has 81 receptions but walter gets the single coverage and is very fast. Very frusterating. :yucky:

I'll hope for the best :banned:

KFFL reports that Schaub is active since he is not listed as an inactive

also...the Jaguars inactives
Jagaurs | Week 13 Inactives

Mon, 01 Dec 2008 16:17:04 -0800

The Jacksonville Jaguars have declared LB Brian Iwuh, C Drew Miller, DL Jeremy Mincey, WR Mike Walker, TE Richard Angulo, LB Thomas Williams, WR Troy Williamson, CB William James inactive for Week 13.

I fully expect Kevin Walter and MJD to have monster games tonight. Why? Because my opponent put up so many points on Thursday that I assumed that there was no way I could win (and make the playoffs), so I dropped half my team as a cost-cutting measure (I get to keep a portion of their salaries for next year).

Then the remaining scrubs on my roster proceeded to GO OFF on Sunday.

As it stands now, if both Walter and MJD get 110 yards and a TD, then it would have been enough to propel me into the playoffs.

If that happens, I'll never hear the end of it from my leaguemates. :bag:

I'll be shocked if the Jags win this game. Expect big numbers from all the Texans.
I,m going to The Greek.com now to bet the house. I hope your right.Texans / -3

over/under 48 1/2 - under

$ 100.00 to win $ 243.64

I like the Texans -3 but not so sure on the over/under.

We'll see

Inactives:

Jaguars: DB James Williams, LB Thomas Williams, LB Brian Iwuh, C Drew Miller, WR Mike Walker, WR Troy Williamson, TE Richard Angulo, DE Jeremy Mincey.

Texans: QB Craig Nall (3rd), CB Matt Richardson, S Will Demps, LB Kevis Coley, G Kasey Studdard, T Rashad Butler, TE Mark Bruener, DT Framk Okam.

I'm thinking about going on the Texans -3 as well. I would love to play a parlay. 9 out of 11 Houston games have gone over. But I don't feel good about this one following suit...

I, unfortunately, expect the same.
Am I the only one thinking this game is JDR's job? I don't think he deserves to be fired, but look at the rest of the schedule. I could see them going to CHI and losing on a short week. Who knows about GB? Indy and BAL sure look like L's.Jags lose tonight and they could snowball and lose out, then JDR is canned for sure.

Jags website has Schaub as the 3rd QB.

Pregame - 7:26PMMatt Schaub is the Texans' third quarterback. The Jaguars are wearing all white tonight, which must mean they are making this "Battle White Night."

I'm going with MJD over Slaton, needing a big 22 pts from one of them to make the playoffs. Anyone care to talk me out of it and go with the home RB with virtually no backup???

I like the Texans. First Monday night game ever, Jags have lost 4 of 5, Houston has won 4 of 7, but have lost to teams that have gone 13-2 since Nov 2nd. Two common opponents lately with Jags losing to Cincy and Cleveland and Texans winning against both by a combined 39 pts. Houston is used to being out of it at this time of year, so no real disappointment. Jags were expected to go far and are toast and are dealing with a ton of injuries.

Houston 31

Jax 21

This one could def. go either way. Really not sure who wins but for predictions sake...Jaguars 24Texans 26
Late gut call (not starring it by any means) - Houston wins by 7 or more. Too many offensive studs for those that know the Texans - AJ, Slaton, KWalter, OD - and Adibi, DeMeco and company make a name for themselves. Houston 30, Jax 20.

KFFL reports that Schaub is active since he is not listed as an inactive
I was just saying he is active in my own unique way.I did find it funny that you felt the need to report both teams inactives again 6 minutes after I had already done so in the thread. My apologies for apparently stepping on your inactive reporting toes.
1. Didn't know that was your quote - thought is was KFFL being KFFL.2. Didn't see your post. I post them as I find them.....

I hope you're right. I'm extremely nervous about this game and praying to the football gods that my Texans don't embarrass themselves tonight. This is a meaningless game to most of the country, but it's a gigantic game for us Texans fans.

Hate when the Texans wear all red. The red jerseys are sharp and my favorite, but the red pants are too much...
They're 6-2 on Battle Red Day. Hopefully that trend continues tonight.
I heard that. I just like the red jerseys with the white pants. Didn't the Texans first break out the red pants last year against the Broncos (for the Thursday Nighter) or have we gone all red before?Regardless, go TEXANS!! For some reason I hate the Jags as much as anyone. Never thought I'd hate anyone more than the Titans or Cowboys. Probably hate them all equally....

JDR has had 6 years in Jacksonville and has one playoff win to show for it, so yes I think that it is possible. I don't want to be the "we suck this year, so let's fire the head coach" guy, but the last couple of weeks have been the most unispired football I've seen them play. I don't know if JDR has lost this team, but it appears that way.I can say that Shack Harris needs to be shown the door.

Def. agree that this game could see few scores. I also like the Texans weapons in general. Hopefully they wont turn the ball over.I could see Super Mario having a big game. Jaguars offensive line seems to be underperforming and beat up.

Crank up the Tivo for this one, boys.

The game is gonna suck, but the Texans have THE hottest cheerleaders in the league.

Hoping for some high leg kicks as we go to commercial. :)

Jax looked awful that drive.

We're coming at you with our two best players, same guys we've been riding all year.

Can you stop it?

Guess not.

question...

why is the pylon not at the near corner of the endzone (where AJohnson stretched the ball)?

it was about 4 yds to the side.
