Week 13 Venting Thread (1 Viewer)

On 4th and 8 Miami rushes for 13 yards on the final play of the game to give Miami 403 yards, so now I lose 5 points for the Buffalo D allowing over 400 yards. :wall:

I am going to freakin lose to the team that starts 4-5 eagles a week and has the league low in points....wtf!!!!!He got McNabb LJSmith Mitchell Akers...wtf

Antonio Bryant on my bench and the guy posts 115 rec and 2 tDs. But, the silver lining is maybe a stud in the making for the playoffs? Probably mutting too much stock into that one...Also lost both starting RBs...Chrissy and Pittman after losing Faulk and Priest in prior weeks. Maybe I'll just start all WRs next week. :wall:

Will someone let Bledsoe know he is not Manning and let McGahee get come TDS?!?!?!?!?  :wall:   :wall: (looks at bench and sees Martin and Edge laughing at me!)
Add Westbrook to my bench of double TD scoring RBs!!!I just have to laugh today...and yet, maybe, just maybe I will pull off some wins as well. Porter with a 51 yard TD helps with TDs over 50 yards being double... :D Too bad Bennet's two 48 yarders were not just a few yards longer. :P It is the game I care about most...playing the five time in six year's super bowl champ. The only one to dethrone him was me. :football:

71-67He got McNabbBlaylockJJonesKeyshawnFredMitchellLJSmithAkers TB 21pts Jones and Key havent even played, Walker is getting shutdown but i should have kept Porter in there, last time i ask for WDIS adviceDroughns is hurt and getting stuffed because Denver can't do crap. Bell steals a TD from him. Not my season at all

Sat Chad Johnson versus the tough Ravens D started Mason instead figuring a high scoring game vs. Indy and also Volek's tunnel vision on Mason. CJ blows up on my bench with 10rec 162yrds & 2 TDs while Mason gets 78yrds :wall:

Scoring about -35 points with plummer and deuce while my ####### opponent gets 600 points from McNabb and every other ###### ####### player he shlopped together on draftday.

Started Bulger over Green (the smart move, I know) and Santana Moss over ANYONE ELSE I have on my bench! The Bulger injury may have cost me a playoff spot. Of course, Pennington ignoring Moss isn't helping either.

In just the 1st half my QB (brees) is outscored by my opponents QB (McNabb) by 40 points!!!!Started that tinman, Blaylock over either Taylor (Chester or Fred)....espically cause i was strongly leaning on starting Chester!!! :wall: :wall: :wall: :wall:

Ronald Curry on my bench in TWO leagues :wall: In one league I have him, Larry Johnson, Chad Johnson, Aaron Brooks, and Matt Stover on my bench

GDB Volek on my bench, coulda benched Trent Green but....I will not change my lineup on Sunday, I will not change my lineup on Sunday....shoulda changed my lineup on Sunday.... :wall:
I apologize Trent....I guess it's a sound strategy after all....

At the last minute I took Curry out of the lineup and put S. Moss in. :wall: It hurts but I still won.

D#MN, now I don't feel so bad, at least I'm still winning. I'm crying for you too.

scored 113ptsopponet had McNabbBlaylockLJ SmithAkersTB D So he scored 113pts too, cept he still has JJ and Keyshawn going...DAMN YOU DROUGHNS! :(

No what really hurts is taking Westbrook out and putting in McAlister! Season Over in that league. :bag:

I'm a Broncos fan and need a mediocre game from Brees to win in my league. I figure I can't lose, right? Either Brees lights it up and I win but my beloved Broncos tank or Brees throws up a stinker and my Broncos win. Either way, I can, how do they say, accentuate the positive? How wrong was I. Apparently Brees can suck like the vacuum of space and still beat my Broncos. Sigh.

Quarterbacks were my undoing today. In one league I started Bulger (2pts.), in another league I started Pennington over Bledsoe (4 TDs). The one that hurts the most is the last one. I started Brady when I could have started Collins. Even though Collins (25pts.)had a great matchup, I thought Brady (9pts.) was more dependable. My opponent had P. Manning of course. :wall:

My combined RB output yesterday was 4 points. Thanks Duece & Croom. Nice work.At least I had TO & Donovan to absolutely crush my competition & actually slide into the playoffs.

What was I thinking?---- started D. Brees, O. Smith, and A.Boldin who got me 13 points.---- benched T. Green, C. Portis, and C. Johnson who got 84 points.Sometimes, putting too much emphasis on the defenses, doesn't work.

Thanks man :sob:
We can stop crying now. Though I took a major hit in the race for overall points, Darrell Jackson just got me the victory

I don't vent often but this one is worthy of turning up the steam! I picked up Julius Jones last Thursday and it cost me $10 (we get 4 free drop/adds per season and after that it's $10 a pop). SO now I've got an investment in the guy, right, so you'd figure the practical thing to do is to play him, right? Well, not quite...Sunday morning I'm sitting at my computer trying to decide to play Thomas Jones or JJ. I had TJ in but after a little bit of thought and perusing these forums I switched to JJ. As I got up to leave to go x-mas shopping with the wife I was struck by doubt and switched back to TJ! :bag: It was sometime later (and too late to switch) that I learned Dallas was playing on Monday night! Had I known that in the morning I would have definitely played JJ...that would have been the clincher. But I was in a rush to go shopping and wasn't paying attention (lame excuse). CRAP.Fortunately, I was leading going into Monday night anyway but I'm also 30 pts behind the overall scoring leader and JJ's 32 points would have put me back on top. CRAP. Not to mention it would have been the highest single week score in my league since 1988 (129 pts)! Anyway, JJ's going in the lineup for the rest of the season.

Put up the 10th highest score of the season (in spite of Bulger & Gonzo's off week) with Horn, Harrison, A Johnson, C Taylor, Droughns, BUF, Akers.Got crushed (by 70 points) with:McNabb J JonesC MartinC JohnsonMouldsNE, etcAnother league, had the much needed win all but locked up going into Monday night. Julius Jones.150 & 3 TD...I win200 & 2 TD...I win200 & 3 TD... :wall: ...and on a play where they're just trying to set up the game-tying FG. All set up by my own player, Witten, who recovers the onside kick that allows Jones to beat me. :wall:

Alright...just when I thought I had seen it all, this weekend happens.I'm at the Eagles game and tailgating all day, so I'm partially blind to what's transpiring elsewhere around the league. That said, in my high stakes $$$ league I'm battling the other top team; winner secures no worse than a playoff spot and is very likely the 1 seed, loser could fall into a 3 or 4 way tie and be in a must win to ensure a playoff spot in Week 14.I happen to own McNabb and Westbrook in said league, so not only am I giddy over my Eagles demolition of the Packers, but I'm also seeing visions of league titles dancing in my head. Our league is high performance (1 pt per rec, bonuses for 100+ yard games, 40+ yard TDs, etc...) and on average teams win with 170-200 points. Rarely if ever in the history of our league has someone scored 200 points and lost their matchup.Well, McNabb and Westbrook got me 50 points EACH. HOWEVER...turns out Deuce McAllister, Tiki Barber and Deion Branch all laid goose eggs practically. So I log on to the site and see that I have a very solid 190 points...while my opponent has 235! :cry:But he's done for the week and I have SEA D and DJax. Now, in this league the defense can rack up points...3 pts per turnover, 2 pts per sack, points for return yards...so even when your team gives up points, you can score 15-20 easily. So I needed 45 points from DJAX and SEA D to avoid a crushing defeat. With 2 minutes left in the game, thanks to a huge game from DJax and some 2nd half turnovers by Vinny T. I've overtaken him and am now winning an epic shootout! And then, Dallas scores a TD, gets the onsides, scores another TD. That reduces my defensive score by 5 points (-5 for 35+ points allowed), which gives me 234.55 points. My opponent has 234.77 points. :wall: :X :wall: :X I'm still baffled, here's hoping Elias Sports comes up with some stat change this week to either reduce his score or add something to mine. 0.22 points separating me from big $$$ guaranteed.

Yep, that's pretty bad Jason, sorry dude. This won't make you feel better. I was down 41 points in the Forum Challenge League to Ten Times, he was done. 4 teams make the playoffs, ShadowFax and Kutta are pretty much in with EBF, myself, LHUcks and Tommy Gunz going after spots 3 and 4. I get 41 points from Hasslebeck to tie, which gives me a lock in the playoffs with a week to go. I've been on the wrong side of Luck this season though so having a little Monday Night Magic as I like to call it was long over due. Here's to you having some in the playoffs, when it really counts. :banned:

I started Volek in place of Carson Palmer, Morten Andersen in place of Shayne Graham, and McCareins in place of Jerry Rice. I shot myself in BOTH feet, and cost myself the last playoff spot!!!!!!! :wall: :hot:  :blackeye:

I had Keyshawn knock me out of the play-offs last night on the non-touchdown catch. And I had Hasselbeck and Westbrook on the bench (for Delhomme, Droughns and McGahee). I had a good team, but had some bad luck this year. Really bummed out.

Sat Trent Green for Drew Brees.Sat Lee Evans for Keen McCardell.Typical of my season. Made the playoffs all 7 years and won 2 titles before this year. This year, I stand in 8th place out of 10 with a 3-10 record. Can't get much worse. :yucky:

my bench scored 162 points, thats more then any team has scored in two years of the league and I lost the game 122 - 78 :wall:

Greatest vent!! I am ahead in total points by 37 for our league, worth about $160. The guy that catches me needs 38 and gets 38.5 from Julius Jones, on that last TD--Seatlle sucks, ####### bastards--everyone knew they were running and that stupid draw play was being run all night. Now I still have the best record and a bye week in week 14, but Tiki has been my rock and now he sucks, and edge and Tiki go up aginast Balt and Pitt in week 15, not looking good!!
