Week 13 Venting Thread (1 Viewer)

Another brilliant lineup decision: Starting Chris Henry over Santana Moss.

And that's touchdown #4 for Trent Green...on my bench. :wall: :wall:

I dont know why u guys are venting about Green. Anybody who wouldve started him this week wouldve been a psychic. He hasnt been a fantasy option all year. Dont beat yourself up about it.

i actually started him in one league as a pseudo-tanking attemptjoke is on me:bag:

traded for f'ing marvin harrison 4 weeks ago. he gets 2, 7 and 0 points the last three weeks. we have a crazy playoff system and i'm on bye this week, so of course harrison goes off. no doubt he'll be back to the single digit level again next week.

how about maroney getting hurt when i started him this week for the 1st time in 7 weeks. how about chester taylor getting 99 yards and injured, and we get big bonuses for 100 yards. how about devery henderson.... started him over driver, what the hell? how about a lot of crap costing me a playoff spot....

I think I need a 12 step program to bench this arsehole. Every week I beatch about him and every week I put him on my bench only to change my mind prior to kickoff. I had Cotchery in all week and changed at the last minute when I saw Cotchery on the injury report and heard about bad weather in Green Bay.... And much to my suprise... BOOKER for a TD!! I think I am going to beat Harrington with a baseball bat!!

Playoffs on the line and opponent gets around 457 points from the Bears D. Nothing worse than trying to make up points due to a huge defense/st total.

 What kind of pt system do you have?
To keep people from sloughing D and making it a vital part of team, D/ST does have some significant scoring particularly for great defensive performances. Only giving up 13, Two TDs (distance scoring involved), a Safety, and I didnt look at total defense but it doesnt look like CHI gave up 200 yards total so thats another 10 points. They'll score at least 40.

Yeah but you have them scoring 457 pts

Close enough when Fitz starts out huge but the game's over by the 2nd quarter, and this year that stuff happens to me every week across the roster. Great team on average and always way ahead of opponents in preliminary numbers/cheatsheets/matchups but this season they dont put it all together. So for an opponent to hang a huge number out of the blue with a few players, I'm just not able to make it up. Way ahead of rest of league in points against as well. :wall:

I am putting up a stinker today; good thing I am a lock for the playoffs, & I'm glad my team is doing this now instead of 2 weeks from now: Palmer--pedestrian game on Thurs vs tough D; Gore--40 yds rushing; Jennings--2 recep/14 yds... Sat SA for Gore; ugh...my opponent isn't doing much (other than his T Holt), but my team is doing nothing..

Last week I benched Willis Mcgahee due to injury concerns while Willis had his best fantasy game of the year and I started Eddie Kennison in his place at flex who had his worst fantasy game of the year. This week I went back with Willis who was mediocore this week and benched Kennision who went on to have this best fantasy game of the year.

watching Andre Johnson waste away all game has been painful. Watching Bironis hit a 60 yard FG to prevent OT was even worse (opp. had Indy Def which would have gotten a 5 point ding if Tenn got 13 more yards to break 400). Oh, and Bulger's Hail Mary interception was nice, as well.

simple and plain. Need 11 from Alexander tonight or my season is over

GD MF'ING DALLAS DEFENSE 2 POINTS

FOOTBALLGUYS DEFENSIVE CHEATSHEET SUCKS MY BALLS WEEK IN AND WEEK OUT

My entire team got 0 TD's lol

QB Romo

RB LJ

RB Gore

WR Boldin

WR S Smith (still to play)

Te Scaife

K Nedney

Def Chargers

This team is now 6-7 in a 12 team league.

:lmao:

I would like to wish unhappy holidays to the following players and organizations as my death spiral out of playoff contention is just about complete:

1) The Elias Sports Bureau for changing the scoring on that McNabb/Brown/Buckhalter play a few weeks back, which started said death spiral.

2) Randy Moss. You, sir, are a terrible football player and worse human being.

3) Whoever rolled up on Marques Colston's ankle.

4) Herm Edwards. Thanks for giving LJ some red zone love today, POS.

I do not know why I continue to play this game known as fantasy football. What once was an enjoyable pursuit has turned into a nightmarish endeavor that is not worth the time, money, and emotional investment I dedicate to it. I know I'll be back, but this whole deal is a tough thing to take right now.

Happy Holidays to the Shark Pool. There are many good people here. Congratulations to those who are having success in their leagues. I hope you win your championships.

Until we meet again...

Everyone was laughing at my matchup in week 1 of the playoffs. The guy I was playing has McNabb, Brown, and Portis all hurt, so he had to go with Morris and Taylor.. My team was just like yours:Romo, LJ, Gore, Wayne, Gates, Henderson, Gould, Sea D1 Touchdown. He has Gonzo and Driver also..See ya next year :lmao:

gore, wayne, parker, cj, roy, wayne, watson....no tds=lost. playoffs start next week, so maybe they got this goose egg out of their system.

Missing playofs first time in 12 years as SAlex, Fitz, and TO outscored combined by Bears D. :hey:

Starting Vince Young over Trent Green this week = bad decision.
Starting Rex Grossman over Trent Green this week = worse decision  My IDPs (including K Bullock and D Ryans) still gave me a slight lead, but now I need to have the Eagles keep Steve Smith out of the endzone to win this week

Oh BTW thanks for showing up Winslow
+1Played Roy Willaims over Sanatana Moss. Roy screws the pooch every year at this time. What a tard.Winslow is terrible. The worst timing.Grossman absolutely pooed all over the bed and ate it for me and then threw it up and served it in a fruit cake. Just atrocious. Gore failed me. Too good to be true. All I can hope for is Westbrook and Steve Smith to dig me out of my 40 point hole for a victory tomorrow night. :wall:
