Week 16 Game Thread - Indianapolis Colts at Jacksonville Jaguars (1 Viewer)

Anyone laying $$$ on this game?I'm liking a 7 pt. teaser of Indy +1 and Over 36.5...
that easy money
Think so?I think that is the route I am going to go. I was trying to talk myself into a Jac +6 and U 43.5 parlay, but can't seem to pull the trigger. With the incentive of getting the starters getting some rest next week if they win tonight, I just think the Colts are going to come out and dominate this one.Jeff - any thoughts?

is that deadbeat addai gonna play?
Per NFL Network pregame......(unfortunately) YES.Addai to play, but Rhodes to start. What I'm hoping here is that Addai is taking Chad Simpsons touches/carries from last week. More of a "keep up on game speed" amount of service tonight. While Rhodes is the primary back.I haven't heard that for sure (NFL Network did say that Rhodes will get the start), but seems logical.

If the Colts are thinking of resting starters next week, why would they press a banged-up GTD Addai into action? Doesn't make sense...

Sanders playing?
Per RotoworldNFL Network's Adam Schefter reports that S Bob Sanders (knee) will play Thursday night at Jacksonville.Schefter didn't have any news on Joseph Addai (shoulder), which may indicate that it's considered a given Addai that will be active. Sanders will start at strong safety, but he may rotate with Melvin Bullitt quite a bit.

Thanks, I don't know if rotating quite a bit is enough to keep the Colts D off my bench this week.

I like the Colts +1 - they should win this one. Then again I had Jax dead and legs up in the air last week against Green Bay.Personally I don't like much of any play in this one - hence you didn't see a Weekly Pick Thread yet (I've only done one Thurs game I think this year).

Don't know if these are posted yet, so:

INACTIVES:

Colts: FS Jamie Silva, RB Najeh Davenport, LB Gary Brackett, DT Eric Foster, WR Marvin Harrison, DE Marcus Howard, DE Curtis Johnson.

Addai is active, but reports indicate RB Dominic Rhodes will start.

WR Anthony Gonzalez will start in he absence of Harrison.

TE Dallas Clark is active and will start.

SS Bob Sanders is also active, which is good news for the Colts defense.

Jaguars: DB Calvin Lowry, RB Alvin Pearman, LB Thomas Williams, C Drew Miller, G Cameron Stephenson, DE Mkristo Bruce, DT Atiyyah Ellison.

WRs Dennis Northcutt and Reggie Williams will start.

Nice work.

I didn't want to force anything, but I wound up doing the teaser (Ind +1 and Over 36.5). I like the Colts to win and I think they should be able to score 37 points combined...27-17ish?

For what it is worth, I am starting MoJo and Pierre Thomas and leaving Rhodes on the bench. I could see Rhodes outscoring MoJo, however. Don't know why...just a feeling that the expectations for MoJo are through the roof for this game.

I think this isn't an entertaining game.

The Colts need the game, but they're on the road on grass. That should slow them down some.

Jacksonville hasn't shown much on offense of late aside from MJD. Bob Sanders should be keying on him all night.

Colts 20-Jags 16.

You're asking for a Gonzo TD, Clark TD, and Wayne TD. Possible.Jacksonville for 17 - not sure about that. Plus Scobee has been inconsistent.

Simpson is dinged up as well, and Indy has to win, so that is why Addai is active. I assume Rhodes will get 70% of the work, and I put his totals at 17/70 and 1 TD, if you can live with the 13 points then do it.

Kevin Smith is questionable as well, I am rolling with Rhodes.

I need a big game from Peyton. Start off my FF Championship game right.

On the other hand, if Peyton falters tonight, I've probably lost even before Sunday comes around...

I still think Rhodes is the smart play - Addai is insurance, not much more. He may not even see the field if things go well for Indy.In the passing game, I like Clark more than AGonzo but both will see 7+ targets I would think. With injuries to Jax at LB (no Darryl Smith) I really like TE over the middle and slot targets to A.Gonzalez.Peyton needs to work Wayne in more too. Remember he was down at the 1-yd line last week. I bet they try and get him a TD.

interesting that in base sets, it looks like Wayne is lining up on the right (Harrison's usual spot)

Really hope the Jags man up and play some defense at home but somehow I have bad feeling. We'll see.

Playing the Colts in 20 TEAM league for Champ. I know my team Vikings will prob have a tough game vs. Falcons. :excited:

3rd and 2 and Jax passes it for 1 yard; thats why thier out of the playoff hunt... MJD should be 90% of the offense tonight

non-MJD owner.

This looks like the Jacksonville team I thought we'd see this year: tough running by MJD, accurate short passing by Garard, and moving the sticks while running the clock down. But it hasn't worked out that way.
