Week 16 Venting Thread (1 Viewer)

Championship Game Old Skool Td league. I'm up 6 going in tonight, now down 3. He has Jones and Graham I have Ivory and Kasey. Also had EFFFFFFFFFFFING ######## BELL who fumbled on the 1/2 yard line, and stopped on the mm yard line. Thats efffffffing 12 missed points by less then a yard!!!!! #### YOU!!!!!

Played this year to perfection and I still lost the championship in my big money league by 2 points. I know luck is a factor but a guy in my league have been going back and forth all year since he kept saying I sucked since I came in 3rd 2 years ago and 2nd last year. Apparently the only thing that makes you good is winning it all but I seriously have no luck at all. Pisses me off to no end. Everyone I drafted was gold: Stafford, Gronk, Graham, Jennings, Rice, Mcfadden, Marshall. The WW pickups (i.e. Michael Bush, Reggie Bush, Newton) were awesome despite always being last on waivers. I even traded Newton and Holmes for AP. I had enough depth to cover my injuries, played matchups properly without getting cute, and I killed in points all year. However, in the end, I lose the championship because my damn kicker gets 1 point (bailey). WTH. I hate this guy. I might never win a superbowl in this league because of random luck and he will always talk smack even though I knocked him out in round 1 of the playoffs. Such bs.

Drew Brees breaks Marinos record with a TD to Sproles. Awesome!

but after checking the stat tracker, I still need 4 more yards out of Sproles...

lost by .38

Finished out of the money by 1 point in the FFPC championship round due to the Saints last TD. I hate this f'n game.

I lost by six points with Tony Romo as my starting QB. Down 43 coming into tonight game with Roddy and Colston, and playing against Kasay, I managed to put up 45 points...but Kasay scored 8, leaving me six points short.

Lesean McCoy didn't really help me that much either. If he would have have matched the point total from his worst game of the season prior to this week, I would have won.

Basically, the entire Dallas/Philly game completely screwed me.

Anyone else lose because of the record breaking Drew Brees TD pass? I did, but I'm happy for Drew to break the record on Monday night in front of the home crowd...

I was winning by 12, with Colston, against a team with Brees and Sproles. The only Scenario where I lose is if Brees throws a TD to Sproles. And that's how I lost the championship.

Was up by 44 points going into tonights game with Kasey left, and the other team had Drew Brees/Colston combo going. The last pass Brees threw gave him 6 points for the TD, plus a 1 point bonus for going over 300 yards. I was then down by 1.5, Kasey kicks the extra point, and I loose this league by 0.5! 142.5-142.0. Came down to 5 yards.. 1 reception.. or 5 less yards or 1 less reception by the other team

I'm two weeks late, but that last Lynch TD on MNF cost me the title. I was knocked out the 1st round (lost by 6) and have scored more than the other teams over the next two weeks.

I hear you. this was my third year in a row dominating the regular season in my main keeper league (33-6 record over that time) and losing in the playoffs. I've been runner-up the last two years. My opponent put up a good score this week (he scraped through by 2 points in his semi and should have lost) and I didn't go well enough and lost by just 10 points - the main culprits being Nicks, who I should have benched, and Bailey (no one could have predicted that). He gets the 99 yard Cruz TD and that basically decides it. I made a couple of bad line up decisions in retrospect, but that always happens, and I've had my share of luck up until now so I can't really complain. It does suck though - there is so much random luck and BS that goes on that is just out of your control. I guess that's what makes it interesting, but it would be nice to actually win one!

I wasn't involved in either of them, but the championship in both my leagues was decided by Bell's fumble at the goal line. The Bell owner lost by 5.XX points in one league and 6.0 in the other.

I lost the SB in one league b/c of that TD and lost by 2 pts in my other league where I had Romo. Such is life though. I had plenty of luck through the season as well. Got to keep it in perspective to retain sanity.

Dynasty league - 12-1 regular season. Lost to team that went 6-7 and got in because his division is weak.

Lost by 10.8 (non-PPR).

- 2125 points in regular season - runner up had 200 less, playoff champ had 542 less.

- Special thanks to LeSean McCoy and Steve Smith for worst games of the year, and to Miles Austin and Jason Witten for getting dragged down by Romo's injury.

- With 2 minutes left in the first half of Sunday night game, James Jones' 0 catches had me hopeful for a Monday Night miracle

Oh well, time to reload for next year.

Lost my championship match almost certainly due to the 0 that Romo put up. I still almost won but was unable to recover from it. 2nd place it is.

Was down 70 after saturday. Romo got me zero. Ended up losing by 17. I feel like Romo could have gotten that. Oh well. Always next year. :kicksrock:

Thought I had Title won, but sprolls last minute bull#### td made me lose by 2 pts. Way to not be classy Brees. You coulda gotten the record next week...

Lost by .25 points b/c junk time reception by Gonzo. If the Packers could have managed one sack I'd be $300 richer. :wall:

Three leagues.

Made the playoffs in just one this season as the overall number 1 seed only to get knocked out after the bye. Even my "Turd Bowl" hopes in the other two leagues were flushed in Week 16 - thinking of changing my team names to "Maybe Next Year."

End vent.

Looked like it was going to be a good year in my five player keeper league with Rivers, Charles, McCoy, Nicks, and Jennings. Added Wallace and Finley in the draft. Due to injuries and head to head match-ups, I just made the play offs in the fourth position. Week 15 I knocked out the top team by playing Palmer over River, and great performances by McCoy and Seattle's defense.

Week 16, definitely David (my team) vs. Goliath (Aaron Rodgers, Victor Cruz and Rob Gronkowski). Somehow I was still ahead on Monday night with Lance Moore vs. John Kasey. That one field goal did me in! Lost the Championship by 2 pts! My Studs Nicks (2 pts) and McCoy (4 pts) definitely didn't help matters, but I still thought I had a chance with Lance Moore! Two more receptions, and five more yards would have been the three points I needed. So close!

My other league, I was knocked out last week, and was the top scorer this week. Always seems to happen! :wall:

I didn't make the playoffs b/c in week 14 a Brady pass to Gronk was ruled a lateral instead of a pass and lost by 2pts that week and finished 1/2 game out of playoff spot. I would have won both playoff weeks and a nice chunk of money because they figured that pass was a inch or two behind the line! Whatever!

Had the highest scoring team all year. Have nicks fail today...Felix Jones get hurt, replace him with morris, and now mccoy gets hurt..damn!
I've found that 90% of the time the highest point total for the season doesn't win the Championship...strange but true from my leagues.
Almost NEVER. I just went back to 2001 - 2011 for our league and the high points guy has won it twice. This year, the high points got knocked out in the first round - the championship had the second highest regular season points team against the forth highest regular season points team. The champ was the #2 points guy. In our league it usually is a lower seed that gets hot - players coming off injuries and whatnot that wins it.

My Dad's team looked like it won the Championship on that last Sproles TD by 1.45 points. Then the NFL stat corrections come out, and Tebow has an INT turned into a fumble (1 pt difference) and SF DEF gets credited with another sack, and he loses by 0.55. It is what it is, but that's just a brutal way to lose a championship. (What was with the enormous number of stat corrections this week, there were a ton compared to an average week)?
