Week 17 Bragging Thread (1 Viewer)

I played the guy in my league with the RB tandem of Jackson and LT2. He's dominated everyone all year. My squad was in last place in the league a few weeks ago.
Going into the evening games, he had a 4 pt lead on me. Tony Scheffler was my only remaining player. I knew my only shot to win was for Scheffler to catch a td in the last few minutes. I'll be damned if it didn't happen. I won by 2 pts!!
From last place in the league to the super bowl champ in one month. Just an awesome feeling.
In my own defense, I drafted well, but caught bad matchups and many of my players were not playing to their potential all year (palmer, WRs).
Palmer - had Kitna on my bench.

Scheffler - picked up out of the pool last week.

Raiders - big mistake here, I benched the panthers a few weeks ago due their play and figured Oak would play better. I totally over thought this one.
Any way, this is my third bowl in three years, and my second consecutive bowl victory!

As my sig below indicates, my wife just won her first title tonight. She won a shootout.
She survived 4 TDs from SJax and 1 from MJD. It didn't hurt that she had LJ (3 TDs - slacker
) as well her Kitna out-passing his Big Ben.

While grabbing Colston of the wire early helped me win some midseason games, he was really a non-factor during the playoffs. Taking a chance on Westbrook was a gamble, but I really had to based on my draft board rankings.
Drafting Maurice Drew with my last pick would have been the sleeper of all sleeper picks (but alas I waived him week 3). NOT starting Ron Freakin Dayne over Steven Jackson (against the best run D in the league) was clearly my best non-move (although I still would have won the title).
My move was a trade - Chad Johnson, Rex Grossman, Doug Gabriel for Terrell Owens, Reuben Droughns and Charlie Frye. This was really just a CJ-TO trade - the other players were simply there just taking up space on my bench.
With Boldin's new QB woes and CJ having an off-year. I wanted to pickup a solid red zone threat - and I gambled that TO would be just that with Romo at the helm. Despite his off-field antics, TO proved to be a TD machine. And despite, 2 monster weeks from 85 AFTER the trade, I wouldn't have won my 1st round playoff matchup with CJ in my lineup - TO proved to be the difference. God bless Tony Romo and the Tuna!
