WEEK 17 SLEEPERS(Who's Yours?) (1 Viewer)

Some fantasy league championships will be decided in week 17. Now that the playoff picture is a little clearer we know that some teams are gonna be resting their starters/stud players this week and it's hard to win a title if your stud players will only be playing a portion of this week's game or be sitting the whole game. So, with that in mind who would be some good sleeper players you could plug in to help you win your league title this week. Here are a few I considered. Would like to hear who you guys think would be good sleepers to start this week at any position and why you think so.

QB:

Chad Henne(Pittsburgh @ Miami)- You know the Dolphins would like to beat Pitts. and keep them outta the playoffs. Henne was 35 of 55 for 322 passing yds. and 1 td last week. He's passed for over 300 yds. 3 out of the last 4 games

RB:

Mo Morris(Chi.@Detroit)- He'll get the bulk of carries. Should manage 60-80 yds and a score.

Mike Tolbert(Wash @ San Diego)- Surely LT2 will rest and Sproles may see limited action so Tolbert should be the feature back this week against a demoralized and probably packed in Washington Redskins team.

Donald Brown(Indy @ Buffalo)- He should get most of the carries and will score against the Buffalo Bills 32nd ranked run defense.

WR:

Mushin Muhammed(N.O. @ Carolina)- Steve Smith's out so Mush becomes the primary target for Moore. Everybody's puttin' up points against the Saints lately and MM should have a good game.

Devin Aromashodu(Chi. @ Detroit)- Kid had 150 yds and the game winning score against the Vikes last week. Cutler really likes him and has chemistry with him. Hell have a very nice game against the Lions and watch out for this kid next year.

Early Doucet(G.B @ Arizona)- No doubt Fitz will sit some if not all the game giving Early some playing time and whether it be Warner or Leinart he'll get a score.

TE:

Anthony Fasano(Pitts. @ Miami)- with my sleeper QB throwing to him Fasano will score once maybe twice and get a few yards.

Todd Heap(Balt. @ Oakland)- The Ravens will be playing hard and no reason to think that Heap won't see his share of targets. Don't know if he'll score 2 td's lke he's done the last two weeks but he'll definitely get one.

PK:

Billy Cundiff(Balt)-he'll get opportunities to score good points

Dan Carpenter(Miami)- same situation as Cundiff, he'll get hs chances and make the best of them.

DEF:

S.F 49ers at St. Louis Rams- They're a better defense at home but I think they go to St. Louis and limit the Rams scoring and get a few turnovers. Maybe even a score to end the year on a good note.

Denver Broncos- they'll be at home against the the Chefs and after losing to Philly they'll want to end the regular season with a good defensive effort.

So, there's some of the players I think could help fantasy teams this week. Who do you guys like to be hot this week?

Picked up Jason Campbell to play over Rodgers. Henne might be a good call too but I think Pitt will be playing hard.

Devin Aromashodu

perfect timing to play him...hes going in hot...playing the worst pass D in the league...has something to prove.

Don't be so sure about Fitz sitting, especially if the Vikes lose to NYG. A first round bye hangs in the balance.

i like Henne this week. starting him over Warner.

Oh Yes! said:
playing santana moss and moose over colston and steve smith

orton over brady
I'm considering that. Orton is on the wire, I have Brady and no backup. Also have Moore and Garrard on waivers along with Orton, can't decide which one to pick up.

Is this game irrlelvant to Green Bay? I see that they are 10-5, which is the same as Dallas. Assuming Dallas and GB win, Green Bay will be 11-5 - same as Philly. Do they lose the tie breaker there?

Assuming Dallas loses and GB wins, they will have a better record than Dallas, and will capture the 5 seed as a result.

Assuming Dallas loses and GB loses - they are both 10-6. No idea who wins the ite breaker.

I have not seen anywhere that this game is meaningless to GB. Did I miss it? If it is a meaningful game, then how can you sit Rodgers for Campbell? GB/AZ and Phi/Dal are both 4:00 games, so we wont know any outcomes early. The only way I could see sitting Rodgers is if the game is meaningless. Is it?

The Niners are a great start this week, but I'm not sure I'd consider them a sleeper. I think their 50 point performance in week 4 when they played the Rams is still fresh in a lot of people's minds. I think that's the best performance by a player/defense in our league this year.

I'd say Correll Buckhalter.

He practiced in full yesterday so the ankle doesn't seem to be a major concern.

The Broncos still have a legit shot at the playoffs so they have to play full out.

The Chiefs are 31st in the league vs the run and the last time the Broncos faced them they ran for 240 yards and Buckhalter had 128 combined yards.

The gameplan will likely be run heavy again especially now that Marshall is a game time decision.

Moreno has really struggled and although I think he could do well also I think Buckhalter should post a solid day. Moreno has also struggled big time in short yardages situations of late so even though Buckhalter only has 1 TD this year I think he may be good for one this week also.

Deep sleeper-

TE Zach Miller of Jacksonville.

Lewis is out, Miller has caught 13 of 17 targets (76.5%), and the Browns are below average against tight ends.

And the wind may make it more difficult to throw downfield, so the te's should get a lot of targets.

I think Lynell Hamilton is interesting with Pierre Thomas out.

I think the Saints know what they have in Bell, and as someone mentioned in another thread, may need Bell to be healthy in case Thomas remains banged up.

Mike Wallace. Ward's banged up. Must win game for the Steelers. Big Ben going up against a suspect Miami secondary. At least a touchdown and maybe 100 yards.
