Week 2 - Lions @ Giants - MNF Game Thread (1 Viewer)

Not at the end of the quarter I don't think. Just end of half.
Not to beat a dead horse but this is as interesting as the game.

@MikePereira: Accepted penalty on the last play of the first or third quarter gives the offense an option to extend the period. They seldom do.

I assume wind is only reason to take the untimed down in the 1st or 3rd.

Huh. I did not know that. I thought it only mattered when there was no more time for a play.

Can you blame the Lions for turtling? Giants can barely score a TD in four quarters. They ain't scoring 2 offensive TDs in 8 minutes.

I love to win, but hate that I won because Davis got hurt. He was the only guy my opponent had left. Good young LB - was having a monster night before ODB's block in the back got him concussed. Hope he heals up soon.

ETA: Technically my opponent still has M.Jones too. DET probably not a lot of throwing.

Giants planning to take the timeouts home with them?

ETA: Now they are using them.

Once again, this topic was more entertaining than the game.

lordy I wish I had the Eagles D/ST. Next week is gonna be a bloodbath.

Broke a couple earlier in this one, but breaking tackles was never his strong point
What is his strong point? He's not particularly fast and he doesn't break tackles. He had two long runs tonight where he was easily tackled by the first defender who had an opportunity. Surely the Lions have someone who can do more than simply get what is blocked.

Sneaky quick, nice burst, shifty, good hands. He ran through several arm tackles earlier, but isn't going to bowl anyone over. Better long speed would be nice though.

As a Giants fan, I am embarrassed to have this type of team showcased in PT two straight weeks. Never in my worst nightmare about this season did I think this offense would be this bad. O-line was my #1 concern, followed by RB, and it's all come to fruition. I can't see how they could possibly fix this mess anytime soon.

Haha, of course they don't. And what's blocked is usually 3 yards.
