Week 2 Venting Thread (1 Viewer)

Including my playoff loss of last year, I've lost my last 3 games by a total of 3.8 points.

This weeks entry was due to Peyton Manning and Reggie Wayne playing 2-on-11 during their final drive. Yes...faced both of them for a .4 point loss.

I won last week by .1 I lost this week by .6 pts.

I'm the second-highest scoring team in the league and I'm 0-2. I lost week 1 by .22 points to the highest-scoring team of the week and in week 2 by 2.36 points as the fourth-highest scoring team of the week. I would have won this week if I had started Mike Williams (TB) or Terrell Owens over Mike Williams (Sea).

I needed my opponent to score less than 36 points on MNF to wrap up a victory. Meachem, Hartley, and Gore.

When SF got the ball back with roughly 1:30 to go in the 4th quarter, I was up by 11. They kept Gore in to block, throwing the ball downfield to Crabtree and Vernon Davis. "Locked up," I said to myself.

Too bad the Saints defense is awful, and even without timeouts SF had plenty of time available to them-- their whole playbook was open. They're in the redzone. I'm still up by 7. A minute left in the game. Alex Smith scrambles for like 9 yards. Gore is sitting on 104 yards, so if they can get it to the 5 yard line, Gore can only feasibly score 6 points (since 104+5=109, and we don't use decimal scoring).

Smith passes to some guy who runs out to the 4, yay! Except apparently this jackass didn't step out at the 4- he stepped out at the 7. F***. Next play, or not, whatever….handoff to Gore. TD. Tie game.

But wait! If they don't make this two-point conversion, New Orleans will probably get the ball back-- barring a successful onside kick by SF-- and run down the clock. Hey, a tie is better than a loss, amirite?

Pass to Vernon Davis….stopped short! YES!

"The previous play is under review"

**watches replay**

####!!!!!

How can I win this? Well, maybe it goes to overtime….SF gets the ball, and Gore fumbles on the first possession (-2), and Brees throws a bomb to Colston. TD, game over, no extra point needed. Tie game.

By the time I had finished thinking of different ways I could theoretically pull out a win, Hartley had kicked the game winning field goal.

I hate this game.

Week #1: Lost Kolb and lost by 12 points to the next lowest scoring team other than myself.

Week #2: I entered MNF game up by 3-points, I had Vernon Davis, the other team had Crabtree and Hartley. There was 4 lead changes in the last 5 mins of the game, and he beat me 122.860 to 122.660. Absolute Heartbreak!

Week #3:

Man that's brutal and I have lost by that much myself.

Led 67-58 with about 10 mins left in 4th quarter of Indy game my opponent only had P-Manning and Wayne left.

Since Indy led 31-7 and was running at will vs New York before their final offensive drive they would try on I figured I was safe.

I only lose if Manning throws a TD to Wayne. Anyone else is fine plus Wayne only had like 4 for 40 coming into this drive.

Also note I lost to this same team last year twice on Sunday night and Monday night both times with Manning and Wayne as his final players both times on Indy's final drive last season on Indy's final play.

Well we all know what happened Sunday night.

3 straight times the same way I done in. :goodposting:

My team is in serious trouble; 0-2, & Ryan Mathews is my RB1 (drafted @ 2.08, #20 overall), Mendy RB2, plus a WR corps that doesn't have a true WR1. Aaron Rodgers is the only thing making me semi-competitive.

thinking greene would be a good RB this season...ugh wtf
agreed. I got Forte'd last year and Went Andre Johnson in the first round. Greene in the 3rd round, then Sproles, & D Brown late. Thought i had solid depth, now i am starting a white tailback  in Hillis. Will Greene, Sproles, or Donald Brown ever be worth RB2 status? Doubtful. I may cut Sproles for Tolber...

only posting because i'm sick of seeing DANNY WELKER CRABTACULOUS on the front page
joffer how you feeling about your 10-2 2010-2011 Horns season? Yeah you survived the LBK, but Tuby's crack squad from Troy :wall: has my once dominant offense on life support. UT won't beat anyone from the state of Oklahoma and y'all might even drop one to the pseudo-ROTC in College station. Not that I am rooting for any of them. I am just saying, we looked like crap, but y'all didn't look much better. Outlook not so bright...
