Week 3 Bragging Thread (1 Viewer)

i won last week even though my opponent had brees and chris johnson. won this week even with gore in the starting lineup. first time in the 10 year history of the league i'm in that i'm 3-0 (unless warner and fitz score 75 points tonight). i guess it helps to have had gore go off last week and mjd this week. not to mention cutler/flacco (its a start 2 qb league) are coming through huge.

 
1 league...MJD with the 3 TDs + Rodgers pretty much carried me.

2nd league...not over yet, he has a few tomorrow and I have Warner still playing.

But overall...I got darn lucky going against Brees in both leagues this week.

 
I had Gore and for some stupid reason forgot to take Bowe out of my lineup before I left for work this morning, that coulda killed me but I was saved by a Kicker (Longwell) and a waiver wire Defense (Saints) that got a total of 27 points in a low scoring Yahoo league. Sometimes it's just flat out luck.

 
Coming into this weekend, my 3 teams had a combined 1-5 record - despite being huge favorites in every matchup according to Yahoo and FBG projections. May be turning things around this weekend with a 3-0 mark (barring Carolina DEF not scoring more than 30 pts). Nothing too crazy in my box scores - just finally a weekend where on average everyone did as well as expected. Though I got lucky in one matchup ... my opponent left Westbrook in his lineup, with Pierre Thomas on his bench. Ooff! :goodposting:

 
One of my teams was amazing this week:

QB: Schaub

WR: Reggie Wayne, Vince Jackson

RB: MJD, CJIII

Flex: Ronnie Brown

TE: Heap (the only player who did not score in double figures!)

K Nate Kaeding

D: San Diego

I have the high score for the week and it's not even close. Too bad I couldn't move some of those points to my two leagues where I will lose!

 
3-0 and maximum victory points so far (12). Finished 1st, or 2nd in all three weeks. Starting to worry, as points have gone down in successive weeks. :thumbup:

 
You know it's a good week when Adrian Peterson is your worst player ... moved to 3-0 despite playing the owner with Chris Johnson/Steve Smith/Reggie Wayne/DWill ... the same team that nearly set a league scoring record last week.

 
Talk about a roller coaster. I'm down 1 point with felix going for me against his Nick Folk. Of course Felix is kicking tail and taking names and Folk isn't doing much. 4th and a half yard and a false start gives him an easy FG to make it a little closer, but I'm still in control. Felix is going to get me the 100 yard bonus for sure and then it's out of reach.

Oops. Felix gets injured. :wall: :wall:

Then Folk gets an easy FG because for some reason the Cowboys decided they needed to throw on 2nd and goal from the 1 yard line. :wall: The same on 3rd and 1. :wall:

Suddenly I'm only up by 3 points. A 40 yard FG and I'm done. Fortunately it didn't happen and I skated through. God bless you Wade Phillips for not going for the 55 yard FG late in the game. :thumbup: And for the INT for a TD and the ensuing 2pt conversion that sealed the deal. :pickle:

The bad news is I (potentially) lost Kevin Smith and Felix Jones, and Turner is on bye next week. :cry:

 
It took me 3 weeks to win my first game and I am ready to break it off in my opponents for the next 2 weeks fo' sho"!!!

 
winning this week was nice, but throwing out a few trade offers and actually landing Cutler was the highlight of my week. :goodposting: this has been a weak spot for my dynasty team for a while now.

 
Two leagues, 6-0.....It helps having ADP in both! Loving Phillip Rivers too this year. I am glad I stuck with Santana Moss this week as my flex....that won me one game. Almost benched him.

 
My Panthers fell to 0-3, but I won in three of my leagues this week, including a key win in my dynasty league to take me to 1-2.

 
Down 34 points going into monday nights game (lots of scoring, 10 per TD, 1 per 10 yds rush, etc) with only Beason and the choice of either starting Stewart or Choice, and he still has Peppers. I started Choice and thought for sure I was done. Won by 3 points.. 169 to 166. Opponent was pissed! :whistle:
