Week 3... New Orleans @ Denver (1 Viewer)

Raider Nation

Devil's Advocate
My oh my, this should be a fantasy extravaganza! Having both Cutler and Brees, this baby is my main event of the day.

The opening total for this game is 50. :lmao: Give me a break. Denver could get 49 by themselves.

I don't often advise putting your mortgage payment on anything, but put the mortgage payment on the over!

The Saints offense is terrible. Defensive coordinators around the NFL have got them figured out and Sean Payton is too stubborn/arrogant to make changes in the way he does things.

I'll take the over, under the assumption that Denver scores at least 40 (which seems very likely).

Romo is gonna have a hard time cracking my starting lineup the way cutler has been playing.

On a fantasy football perspective, I'm playing Warner over Brees. The loss of Colston really hurts the Saints. I don't think any other receiver on that team scares the opposing D's therefore they can key on Bush as he is their only playmaker until Colston comes back.

This lineup would dominate:

QB Cutler

RB Young

RB Hall

RB Pittman

WR Marshall

WR Royal

TE Scheffler

K Prater

It's going to be an absolute bloodbath.

Got em both, too. Not sure how Cutler can be benched after his first two weeks. Denver will be in more shootouts than Dallas and will throw more in the red zone. Marshall is as much of a monster as TO, Royal looks to be better than Crayton, and while Witten is certainly better than Scheffler, didn't look like it mattered yesterday.

Except the Dallas Oline is miles better than Denver's. The balance (run/pass) Dallas will have is why Denver will be a fantasy beast on the passing side.

If New Orleans Def is soft...then expect Shanahan to pound them with the run game to try to control the clock. That's just my prediction. This game might not be as high scoring as you think.

i've got Brees and Cutler in one lg. decisions, decisions.

DEN should win easily, imo. NO defense is a joke right now. and Brees isn't exactly getting stellar protection. and the games in Denver. fantasy-wise it's hard to sit Cutler right now, but if NO gets behind early, Brees could put up big numbers.

Agreed. Without Colston, the Saints offense is not the same.

I tend to think that highly anticipated shoot outs often end up totally different.

Looks like I'll have to wait another week to play Chris Johnson over Reggie. Reggie Bush is better than Sproles, and look what he did against Denver.

Not to hijack ... but what about the SF and Detroit game (in a dome)

injuries are a huge part of it for the defense. in the 4th quarter of the redskins game, the saints were down to using 2nd year usama young and rookie tracey porter at CB. they were using undrafted rookie dunbar at starting LB. they were using back-ups in place of starters for DT, LB and Safety.

they should get mckenzie, fujita, gay and maybe harper back next week. i'm not saying that it will make that much difference but the injuries really hurt them.

I have Young and Pittman and not sure which to start. Pittman seems to be the td vulture but young gets the yards.

:thumbdown:Denver's O-line is seriously legit, especially in pass protection.Edit: Denver's first-string offensive line has yet to allow a sack this season. No sacks in all of preseason, no sacks in week 1, no sacks in week 2 (the "sack" SD was credited with was a "team sack" that resulted from the blown fumble call- SD never touched Cutler on the play), and no sacks in week 3. Only team in the league that has yet to give up a sack.

I'm already starting to worry about Cutler and Marshall sitting come FF playoff time.Thank God their defense is not that great... you figure they'll simply get outscored sooner or later.

I have to say... there are few things in this world I hate more than the Oakland Raiders... but their fans deserve better than this. Their greatest joy left to them now is cheering for their biggest rival's stellar offense. It'd be like if the Redskins were so terrible that all their fans had left to talk about was how many sacks Demarcus Ware got last week. Or if the Vikings' QB situation was so terrible that their fans started salivating after a legendary Green Bay QB who humiliated them for two decades.Oh, wait...Edit: As a Broncos fan, I make a point of never rostering any Oakland players lest I find myself in the awkward position of actually having to one day root for them to, you know, do well. Of course, it helps that there aren't really any Oakland players worth rostering...

For the love of God - put down the pipe....

Broncos are putting up points, but I wouldn't be too confident just yet. That was not a good Saints team that just outgained you and should have won in your house if not for a terrible head coach.

I would not be shocked at all if the Chargers end up winning the division. They have better defensive players.

Dead on brother...preach it. I couldn't go to sleep at night knowing there was a Raider on my roster. It would make me feel dirty all over. I love fantasy football, but I don't love it that much
