Week 3 Sleeper Plays - Isaac Redman (1 Viewer)

Isaac Redman is mine.

He is listed on the sleeper report as an option. And he is listed on the projections as a 6 point player, so some value is already established as being present. I almost didn't use him as my pick due to that. But... Here is why I think he could significantly outperform that ranking.

Week 1 - the Texasn had 170 yards and 2 TD's

Week 2 - Hillis went off for 94 and 2 TD's

I just think the Steeler's are going to dominate every aspect of this game. I don't think the Colt's will even keep it close.

If the Steeler's get up by a couple scores in the 3rd quarter, then Redman could see more than ten carries. He is a good goal line bulldozer.

My gut says it adds up to about 60 to 75 yards and a score for him. Not a bad way to fill out your last flex spot if you start several.

Throw some other picks out here.

Haha....that was actually my desperation flex after hhalf my team got wrecked.

I pretty much agree with your guesses, and they should plow indy.

The downside is they destroyed sea and he still only got 10 carries, but I think sea run defense is much better than indy's, so maybe 6 ypc x 12 carries pplus the td.

I don't know how sleeperish these guys are, but I think stl receivers could toast those scrub balt corners.

Btw, is that ppit line only 10......?

something doesn't smell right ---off they better destroy indy, I neeed those points.

FWIW, Steeler insiders(Bouchette/Lolley) have also been reporting this week that the Steelers really want to "get Redman at least one series of his own every game" if situation allows.

Ike has really surprised me this season starting in camp. Coaches have really taken a shine to him because he's busted his a@#$ to improve over the last few seasons. This is a guy who didn't make the final cut for the active 53 a couple years back because he wasn't conditioned well enough. Didn't have high hopes for him, but he seems to have flipped the switch in that regard. Seems like a much more polished blocker and receiver now as well.

Still not totally drinking the Kool Aid(a bunch of Steeler fans think if Mendenhall were to go down that Redman would go in there and they wouldn't miss a beat at all), but he's certainly a vastly improved player this year. Before he was "just a guy" that had a knack for converting short-yardage. He's becoming more well rounded.

Thinking about starting him over Steven Jackson who is going up against a super tough D and that's only IF he plays. If he goes down after 1-2 carries again...

Any thoughts on dynasty potential here? Is redman just a change of pace back and sure he'll pick it up if mendenhall goes down (does have injury history) but not a full time starter kind of guy? Or is there any chance he will develop and eventually take the job from mendenhall (who does have his flaws)?

Sanzenbacher breakout very possible.
why? where is he in the pecking order??
Bennets out so Sanzenbacher looks to be taking his spot in the slot. Had 7 targets last week. The pecking order for Chicago WR's is pretty much whoever shows they can catch the ball. Think Sanzenbacher had a few drops last week but supposedly had a good camp. Not saying he is Denarious Moore, but he could easily have 6 catches for 80yds and TD this week.

Steelers o line can't open up holes and mendy would get majority of carries. I think there are better sleepers than redmen and I hope for you that you're team is not in a position where he would see your lineup.

I'd rather take a chance on tashard choice or demarco murray as I'm not convinced that Felix makes it through this game

how about greg olsen -- is he a sleeper?

keller had a great game against the jags d, and I didn't see car play gb, but I suspect olsen might've been helping against matthews, as their rt, otah, was out.

otah is back, matthews is beasting somebody else, and he's catching just the right defense.

week 1 he was 2 yds short of a td, week 2 he had one nullified by penalty (on him) on the first drive, and was 3 yds shy of another --- this week he's cashin' in.

8/100/2

MARK IT DOWN!!!

Steelers 24, Seahawks 0

Heath Miller played all but three of the team’s snaps in Week 2, but spent 42 of his 69 snaps blocking. Another week, another episode of Hines Ward’s demise being exaggerated. The vet paced the wide receivers with 56 snaps and 36 pass routes. Mike Wallace was right behind him in both departments. Antonio Brown saw 20 more snaps than Emmanuel Sanders in Week 1, but Sanders had a two snap edge this time around. Brown did run six more pass routes, though, as 21 of his 25 snaps were pass plays. Isaac Redman was just one snap behind Rashard Mendenhall (a product of the blowout)

Personally, I like how Redzone Redman runs better than spin move Mendenhall. Red runs with power and attitude. When the time comes, he will outproduce Mendenhall. Just a matter of when IMHO.
