Week 3 Venting Thread (1 Viewer)

Marc Bulger...need I say more? So far he's been a complete bust. Today he was absolutely horrible...and to make matters worse, I was up against McNabb and Boldin.

 
Benched Ronnie Brown for sucking hard and I never really thought Kevin Curtis was going to outscore Galloway with their respective match-ups. My bench is going to outscore my starters this week. :lmao:

 
My opponent had almost all his players in the early games, and I had almost all of mine in the late games. Was on cloud nine watching Bulger flounder and Caddy not do much. I actually had a lead with 2 of my players against 5 of his.

Then the late games start, and my QB goes down, my RB goes down, my main WR didn't have a catch until the third quarter. The Panthers give up 400+ yards to Joey Harrington and only get 1 turnover. Barely ahead--up 12 with him having a WR and DST to go, and me with only a TE left to play.

that might be the worst possible thing that could happen because when it comes down to it thats just plain poopy luck, or i guess great luck for him

 
Could have used either one of the TD's that Droughns got instead of Ward, lost by 4 pts, down to 0-3 despite having the 3rd highest total pts in the league.

Last week I benched Cotchery and played Curtis. Result...Cotchery goes off, Curtis sucked & I lose (I would've won had I started Cotchery). This week I benched Curtis and started Cotchery. Result...Cotchery sucks and Curtis goes out of his mind. I would've already won this week had I started Curtis, as it is I'm down by 40 with 3 players to go. Why do I even play this game?
 
Benched Favre for Bulger..difference of 39 points and would have meant my first win this week. LT2 owner also, and I'm 0-3!!!

 
Rex Grossman sux. If he can't get a TD against the Cowboys weak secondary, then there's not much hope for him this year.

 
LAST WEEK I SET THE SECOND HIGHEST SINGLE WEEK SCORE IN THE HISTORY OF OUR LEAGUE (15 YEARS), WINNING 143.5 TO 109.5.

This week my opponent set the third highest single week score and is demolishing me 142.0 to 68.5 (if only I can get 12 tds from Vandenbosch and Roman Harper I can catch him).

Our league average is around 85 points, so I am just a magnet for high scores. Oh well - no undefeated season for the 15the straight year.

The bad part (aside from the embarassment) is losing Rudi Johnson, Briggs, and possibly Steve Smith (not sure if he was hurt or just shut down).

Ugh. He cost me a win this week. Starting him over Brett Favre. John Madden should slap me silly. 1-2 in that league despite having a killer team.
 
Drank the DeShawn Wynn Kool-aid and started him over Kevin Jones (seriously depleted at RB right now.)

Add Wynn to Javon Walker and Steve Smith and you have a losing team. Even Tomlinson and Gates couldn't save me this week.

 
My league score 6pts per td rushing and receiving. QB's get 4 for td's. Rb's also get 1 pt. per 25 yards rushing.

RB. - I started Parker, McGahee & Portis who scored a combined total 17 Points.

WR. - I started Holmes & Santana Moss who combined for a total of 4 points.

TE - I started Daniel Owens who got me 2 points.

My defense (Washington) got me 5 points.

Ronnie Brown scored 27 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So in my league, Ronnie scored 1 point less than all the other starters above. I know, my team sucks !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hell, I left Sammy Morris on my bench also and he outscored Mc Gahee & Parker.

This was one of those weeks when a lot of my guys were a couple yards short for another point and just bad breaks.

I need a solid W/R. Which R/B would you give up. NO, R/B doesn't necessarily stand for Ronnie Brown.

Is the Jets "D" so bad that Ronnie Brown's big days are over ?

The Bills actually have probably 6 guys that should be on IR. But they're hurting at the LB position so badly that they can't afford to put Ellison and Wire on the IR even though they're missing extensive time.

What about the rest of your team? Are you getting solid points from your kicker and defense? How has your scoring been compared to the rest of your league each week?

 
I get zero points from SSmith, Bruce and AGreen.....and still only lose by 9!!

Just doesn't seem possible that all 3 of them could/would/did go scoreless.....

 
Went to 0-3 this week. Pretty much came down to Clinton's fumble and Plax TD just a couple plays later.........why was CP not in @ the goal line? Killing me............

good move: i actually sat gore in favor of caddy ( caddy & tom jones )

bad luck move: calvin over boldin...calvin gets injured in 1st half, lienart sucks it up and warner gives Boldin a 30pt game on my bench...i would be up 20 :cry:

I read all the posts, and there are only 2 people who benched Ronnie Brown this week after consecutive 11 carry weeks? Well shame on us. I left enough points to win on the bench with Ronnie Brown alone, and could have had another 20 if I had started Favre over Manning or Buerlson over Steve Smith (ok, that wasn't going to happen).I could have been tied for division lead, instead I'll be tied for last place unless LenDale White can duplicate Ronnie's success.Next 3 weeks I'm starting Ronnie Brown. Maybe by then Steven Jackson will have scored a touchdown.

I got killed, scored a total of 51 points and got beat by the weakest team in the league.

Last year I would have loved to had that starting line up.

 
Funny how I keep reading on the venting thread about people BENCHING Curtis. Me, not so lucky.

I got to face some donkey that benched LARRY FITZGERALD for Kevin Curtis (in a bonus league no less for milestones and long TD's). If you say he did it for the matchups, then I get to tell you that he also has Reggie Brown and sat him too. Either pure genius or just horrible. Needless to say, 65 pts later from one WR, I was down big and didn't recover.

To make matters worse, in another league, got to watch Alexander hit 100 yds with 49 seconds left when he only had 80 after busting a 20 yd run (how convenient) for a 5 pt bonus. This is after he had Chambers catch a 26 yd pass in the last 2 minutes when he needed 25 for his bonus (another 5 pts).

I love this game.

I think I've got worst bad beat.Wk1 - played against RomoWk2 - played against Palmer............(opponent set the all-time league high....10 yr league)Wk3 - played against Farve and Westbrook and Pitt Def (opponent is about to set the 2nd best all-time high score)After tonight, I'm going to be: 0-3My team will have scored the most points in the leagueHave played the high scorer EACH WK :own3d: :no: (and BTW: I have Brady, Boldin, TJ Housh, Edge, Caddy, SJ)
 
How's this for a bad beat - this week I was up against a guy who started McNabb, Westbrook, and Ronnie Brown! Dude crushed me, and didn't even have to feel bad about having Kevin Curtis sitting on his bench!

on my team (among others, obviously).....miraculously enough, I am still 2-1, but my depth will hurt me with these bye weeks......hopefully, some of these bums will get healthy/get out of the crapper soon!! :lmao:

My arch rival in a league pulled off a massive trade the day before preseason.

He got Brees and Lee Evans for Romo and Fitzgerald.

At the time, I thought he really helped his team.

Now I can't smile wide enough.

Benched Ronnie Brown who outscored all three of my running backs that I started, FWP, Willis & Portis. OUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 
I had to do video for 2 church services on Sunday morning, so I had to set my lineups late saturday night . . .

my backs are

Westy (noon CDT)

Jordan (3pm CDT)

Ced Benson (sun night)

of course, Westy is questionable and Jordan is probable . . .

I would get home at 12:30 CDT after the start of the Eagles game . . .

I remember last year or the year before when Westy was scratched at the last minute, so I figured to play it safe and get a few points from Jordan . . .

you know the rest; Jordan has a good day, but Westy goes off . . .

I win easy if I had Westbrook instead of Jordan . . .

just my luck . . .
