Week 4 Injury Thread (1 Viewer)

They went to commercial, but when they came back they said Addai came off on his own. Sitting on sideline. You never know, but so far doesn't sound too serious.

Looked like Addai got hit in the stomach or the nuggets by the way he was reacting and sitting on the sideline.

Any more news on Caddy? Did anyone see the press conf with Gruden?
On the radio, he sounded very pessimistic. He said something like "We don't have any comment right now, but the outlook isn't good. We'll let our fans know the update soon. If he's out for the year, we'll have Pittman as our workhorse and be on the lookout for another back."For a coach to say that, well, you know. :hijacked:

On the lookout for another back? Candidates? Ricky Williams? Dillon?Edited to add: Maybe he means on the lookout for another RB to add to depth. Not a new starting RB...

Williams, Petitgout lost for the season

The Bucs have lost running back Cadillac Williams and left tackle Luke Petitgout for the season.

Williams is believed to have suffered a torn patellar tendon in his right knee when he was hit by Panthers safety Chris Harris following an 18-yard run in the first quarter.

He returned to Tampa with the team Sunday night and will fly to Birmingham early this week to undergo surgery from renowned orthopaedic surgeon Dr. James Andrews.

Petitgout is believed to have suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee one series later. He will undergo further examination today in Tampa.

"I just put my arms around him,'' running back Michael Pittman said of Williams. "I couldn't tell him it would be all right. Obviously he's disappointed his season is over.''

With his twin brother in Tampa, interesting...

From rotoworld:

The Oakland Tribune speculates that LaMont Jordan's back injury could be serious and keep him out of action "for awhile."

The recurring injury had Jordan on crutches and wincing in the locker room after the game because his back couldn't support any weight. He was in severe pain when the injury was initially sustained and wouldn't talk to reporters. Jordan has a bye week to shake it off if he can, but could be limited upon return with Dominic Rhodes coming off suspension and Justin Fargas around.

The way he was saying it, it was just a guy for depth. He has Pittman and Graham and Gruden is absolutely sure he's a genius. He can get by on his wits and his backups. The entire team rests with an aging QB named Jeff Garcia. They're 0-4 if he wasn't there. Yes, even the Rams would have beaten the Bucs. I'm pretty amazed at what he's accomplished already.
