For week 4 Jamaal Charles’ rushing stats were downgraded from 92 yards to 88 yards. Elias Sports changed a 5 yard rush to a 1 yard rush. Not sure if this had to do with a penalty or what. In one of my leagues, a close game was reversed the other way as a result of this change. FYI in case it affects others.

Full stat changes:

Elias Sports Bureau and the NFL have made the following official stat changes for NFL Week 4:

Patriots at Bills:

2nd Qtr, 1:19 remaining. Fumble forced by Brandon Spikes, not Vince Wilfork.

0 forced fumbles for Wilfork

2 forced fumbles for Spikes

Chargers at Chiefs:

2nd Qtr, 8:09 remaining. Jamaal Charles rush was changed to 1 yard from 5 yds.

88 yds rushing for Charles

Redskings at Buccaneers:

3rd Qtr, 9:13 remaining. Play previously ruled a sack of Robert Griffin has been changed to a rush for -7 yards.

8 rushes for 36 yds for Griffin

1 sack for Buccaneers

Yeah, guy in my league lost by 0.02 points, but after the stat correction for RGIII, he won by 0.37 points.

Silly question, but when does the QB become a runner behind the line of scrimmage, therefore making the play a run for loss rather than a sack?

It comes down to the intention of the play that makes it a run v a sack/scramble. Which is why these things get changed later in the week.

Re: Jamal Charles stat correction

Lost my game because of this. Was tied 152 to 152. The real kicker is that the only way the guy could tie me was if Dez Bryant caught a 2 point conversion in a game that was out of reach and that's exactly what happened. So can anyone explain to me how a 5 yard rush turns into a 1 yard rush over a week later?,
