Week 4 Thoughts on a Sunday night (1 Viewer)

- Saw some great stiffarming today as I channel surfed. Jerricho Cotchery oWned a Colts DB on his TD catch. Maroney used his often and ran with tremendous power. BIG TIME impressive.

- I think it's time for Leinart to take over the reins in Arizona. In fact, I actually dropped Warner for Leinart in one of my leagues, expecting a changeover soon. If you saw Warner today, you might agree with me that he'll be holding the clipboard shortly. And I think Leinart is ready for good things.

- didn't Parcells say that he didn't want Jones to carry the ball 20 times anymore? He got 23 carries. So I guess he wasn't exactly LYING.

- I assume there will be several threads about him but Marquis Colston.....damn, I wish I didn't assume "one week wonder" on him after Week 1 and left him on the waiver wire for somebody else.

- Chargers have a great D and all but will we see Musa Smith take a good amount of carries from Lewis soon? I know what I see and I still don't like watching Lewis run. But they're 4-0 so I'm not sure Billick will tinker. Though a Dillon/Maroney like split is definitely in order, if you ask me.

- I wonder if Miami thinks Drew Brees' arm still isn't healthy enough to play for them.

- A buddy offered Mike Furrey to me in part of a trade we were discussing this week. I told I didn't want him at all. :bag:

- I expected a very good game from LaMont Jordan today and he came thru with 26 fantasy points for me in my league. I took advantage of the timing and traded him while his game was in progress in a deal to get Edge and Chad Johnson. (gave up Vick, Evans, Jordan....Vick being a spare part) No more Jordan and Moss to worry about.

Feel free to comment on any of these or add your own.

Ooops, I missed the thread on Leinart being in and Warner being out. Good stuff though. :)

Jaguars WRs are gonna annoy the hell out of people all year (including me)

Start your WRs vs Detroit.

Start your RBs against the Bengals. The only way they can stop the run is if the offense gets a big lead and the opposing team is forced to pass.

Marty Schottenheimer is a very good coach but he absolutely kills his teams with his conservative play calling. The Chargers had the Ravens on the ropes but could not put them away.

st. louis can still air it out, jackson is slowly becoming bulgers #2 option in the passing game and looks great in the open field

new england had a huge win today, maroney and dillon both ran hard, the bengals o-line was killed today.

the jets are for real, they played indy really tough and were close to pulling out a stunning upset.

terell owens is the most important cowboy. he opens up the field for witten and glenn, makes defenses respect the pass opening up the run for JJ, who played well today.

Colston and Cotchery are for real, both can spread the field and have good hands, and i own neither :wall:

I just checked and saw that Mike Furrey is a free agent in 2 of my 3 leagues. This could be a chance for me to make amends on skipping on Colston and Cotchery after Week 1. Lions' upcoming schedule isn't looking that bad right now:@ VikingsBUFFALO@ JetsbyeFALCONS49ERS@ CardsDOLPHINS

Has this ever happened before? Two players for the Falcons today rushed for 100+ yards each, and neither was the starting RB who was not pulled because of injury nor underperforming AFAIK.

I wish I had room for Furrey, but I already own Glenn, Key. Johnson, Roy Williams, Reggie Williams, and Colston.

I'd be reluctant to drop any one of my WRs (we have to carry min/max 5 WRs)

ahh yes i watched a lot of the det/stl game and furrey looked great.thats a great pickup
Of course, the fact that Furrey was playing his former team could have had something to do with it too.

Additional late Sunday night thought - I love Robbie Gould!

13 points from him thus far, setting me up nicely to win my matchup tomorrow night.

Maybe Gould is this year's Rackers.

No offense but I thought it was pretty obvious bringing in Owens would make a serious dip in Wittens #s

while his #'s may not be what they used to be he is still a viable option in the cowboys attack. no one expected him to duplicate his 04 numbers but bringing owens in opens the field for everyone

1. Laurence Maroney is a BEAST

2. Marques Colston is making everyone understand why Stallworth now wears green.

3. I thought Cincy would put a beatdown on the Pats. I know nothing about this thing called the NFL.

4. Jamal Lewis is even more done than he was last year, and Billick again wont care and will continue to trot his 2 yards a carry out on the field for 16 games.

5. Umm.. Chicago looks very, very, very real on both sides of the ball.

6. San Fran finally woke up and remembered they still suck.

7. I am shocked by the Jets success so far this year. Anything serious to Coles could stunt them though.

8. Santana Moss went berzerk and i still dont think i would want him on my FF roster. Weird i suppose.

9. Torry Holt = Consistency.

10. The Oakland Raiders are now on the clock.

JP Losman looked good in a big win for the Bills. They never get any love, 2-2 and lost to the Pats in NE by a saftey. When Losman starts to be consistant and not shooting himself in the foot these guys and going to be a tough team to beat, WATCH OUT!

Jags running game: is there any?

Start your studs: Nice if we knew who studs were anymore. Fitz? 60yds CJ? 60yds? Carr? 200+ 2tds...

Edge: not sure if it is warner or what but i expect him to get a heavy load with Lienart at the helm.

Gates: busting for alot of people

Brees: yardage machine

Miami: danger will robinson danger

Pretty much what I came here to write. I didn't play Reggie Williams until last week. He gets 1 catch for 8 yards against Indy. So naturally I sit him today. 93 yards & 2 TDs. :wall: Also, Edge has become a guy you have to think about sitting when the Cards are on the road, at least against teams with capable defenses. In my league's scoring system, over the first four weeks he has 14/9/15/7 points. The 14 and 15 were at home. The 9 and 7 were on the road. When Arizona trails, they no longer have time for his 3-yards-and-a-cloud-of-dust production. He is a great back, but that line is tough to overcome.

Lastly, I am at a total loss regarding what to do with Randy Moss. He played a home game against a team with a banged up secondary, and he managed one short reception, albeit for a score. It's painful to consider sitting my 3rd round pick -- a guy with immense talent at that. But I don't see any other options. There's no way you can get anything of value in a trade for him at this point. Fortunately, I'm fairly deep at WR, so I can overcome this setback for now. Maybe things will turn around somehow, but it looks bleak.
