Week 4 Venting Thread (1 Viewer)

I debate my flex decision and after putting in Donald Brown, change my mind at the last minute switch to Santana Moss. Brown already has a TD and supposedly Addai is hurt. This is going to be a bad decision.

Benched Steve Smith for Burleson, and he's got 50 yards and 2 TDs already. Ugh. That's what I get for figuring the Seahawks would have to throw 50+ times today.

Wes Welker active = Derrick Mason on my bench; Donald Brown on my bench as a last second switch to put in Knowshon Moreno, and as noted above, he already has a TD & Addai may be injured

Did someone say not even Russell could screw up the running game v. the Texans?

Yes, even Russell. Ran Bush because of concerns about Kevin Smith actually playing the whole game grrr

I must withdraw this vent after Moss' long TD catch.

LOL...I withdrew it at the same time you posted. The fact that Addai is fine and scored a TD makes me feel better as well.

Never again will I start Braylon Edwards or Run DMC. Both have put up Goose Eggs so far. It's amazing because they both had huge projections.

Houston up a ton and Schaub has throw like 2 passes this half. Meanwhile, Cutler is throwing on first down up a ton...

why did houston have to demolish oakland so Schaub sucks it up in the 2nd half? oh and glenn coffee's a ####.

From the "What Mistake Will You Make Week 4 thread...

I'm debating between Cedric Benson and Ronnie Brown next week. I'll pick the wrong RB.
I started Benson. Brown has already outscored Benson, and it's not even halftime in the Miami game.

 I started Schaub over Carson Palmer. What a good decision that was. Meanwhile, I am going against Eli and the New Orleans defense in that league. (2 Defensive TDs in the first half? Are you kidding me???) Need I also mention I have Mark Sanchez in one league? Picked him up as a bye week starter based on his performances the first 3 weeks. He is KILLING ME.

I own Pierre Thomas my opponent owns NO DEF. Thomas gets tackled on the one and after NO doesnt score they get a defensive TD. 15 pt swing :wall:

Really? 2 sub 200 yard passing days and zero TDs and you roll your eyes at me?
Yes. It's not his fault that his d returned 2 for TDS, and thusly took the air out of the ball. That and the running games was working.Your joke probably almost singlehandely won you weeks 1 and 2.so I
He had decent matchups first two weeks. I'm only starting him against decent matchups from now on. He can't step up against a decent defense.

you do that? Unless your back up is manning you are an idiot.

Really? Because if I followed that strategy the past two weeks, I would have better results from the QB slot. He's scored at about QB 28-30 the past two weeks. Not sure how that shows I'd be wrong to only start Brees against a decent matchup.

DMC you and your 1 point are dead to me. This was his one chance to have a big game and he gets -3 yards rushing, and 1 reception for 5 yds. YOU SUCK!!!!!!!!!

When leagues let you decide starting lineups after the fact this will matter. Until then we move forward based on the best evidecne. The best evidence is that there is 1 qb (with another 4-5 with nice matchups) that you should bench him for. Anything else is just emotion based on whatever win or loss you had this week.

Now that's fair vent. Gotta feel for oakland fans/ff owners. I mean we knew they'd suck, but this is taking sucking to a whole new level (from a ff persepctive) Even detroit last year had productive players who made their hay in garbage time.

The evidence is already there. NO need to wait until after the fact. Either choose to accept the facts or ignore them.

I just scored the highest total for the season in the league , but lost to the guy who now has the highest total for the year. It's crazy how that works.

:goodposting: K, you bench Brees when he has "tough matchups" for David Garrard or whoever else you have at QB2 and let us know how that works for you. I prefer to keep rolling with my first and second rounders as long as they're healthy.Hindsight is 20-20. It's easy to say you "should have" plugged in the highest scoring players each week after the fact, regardless of what their projections were beforehand. My bet is that you'll still look at the weekly projections and find brees in the top 6 week in and week out, regardless of matchup, and your other QB at 13-20 and continue to plug Brees in.But anyway, feel free to be angry, this is the place for it.

At this point, I'm close to throwing in the towel in all my redrafts. I'd really like to get the average up to 1 win/week from all my teams combined from here on out. Losing a ton of close games, and am facing a ton of high scoirng teams in all leagues.

I've faced the most, second most, or third most points against in all my leagues. In the one league where I am the high scorer, I'm 2nd in points against.

My combined win total in all leagues at this point including the week 4 games which are already decided is 3.

I haven't missed the playoffs in a redraft league since 2002 or maybe earlier, and this is really becoming a horrible year.

1-3 for a team that Yahoo and FBG projected to be 30+ point favorites every week. It's one thing to lose close when you're ready for a tough matchup. But loss after loss when I go in full of confidence that I did a good job preparing a dominating lineup, only to get punched in the stomach on gameday? :bag: About to lose to the weekly high scorer yet again.

Had to pick up a D this week and chose the Bills over the Saints, good call! DMC killed me too, that's as bad an offence as I can remember. Rushing, passing, play calling, everything sucks, the waterboys and the guys selling beer in the stands probably suck too.

I feel for you. My 3 wins have come when I've been the weekly high scorer twice, and second highest once - and second highest has only been good for me half the time.

I played against K. Collins where there were talks of him getting pulled at halftime, and I play J. Cutler who has 3 TDs. K. Collins scores more points because they decide not to just pack it in.
