Week 5: Lee Evans (1 Viewer)

Not true. After 4 games this year, he has 101 yards. After 3 games last year, he had 151 yards. In other words, with one less game last year, he had 50% more yards than he has this year.Spin it however you want, but Evans is on pace to have 404 receiving yards this year. Considering where he was drafted by most, that totally sucks.
FF would be much easier if you figured everyone was on pace for the same stats the rest of the year.Last year thru 4 games, MJD had 20 rushes for 118 yds and 0 TDs. He ended up with 166/941/13. Grossman thru 4 weeks threw for 1061yds, 8 TD, 3 INT and ended with 3193/23/20.Do you think Curtis will finish this year as a top 10 WR with 76/1292/12? Only 7 WR broke 1200 yds last year and 5 WR had 10+ TDs.Does Evans performance so far this year suck given his ADP? YesDoes Evans have a chance to exploit a suspect Dallas secondary? YesCheck the SoS for the next 4 weeks. Evans has a chance to turn things around. If he has 200 yds and 0TD after week 9, I'll bump the thread for you.

Unless you really think a guy with 11 catches for 101 yards in four games deserves another start.
Not to mention, another start against Dallas. I'm sure their defense will be all over Buffalo's OLine.
one caveat:you can pass on Dallas..Roy Williams can't defend the deep ball to save his life..a guy like Evans will run right past him.
Additional caveat:The loss of Greg Ellis to the Dallas front 7 last year is what opened up the flood gates for exploiting Roy-boy in coverage. With a healthy front 7, a more aggressive scheme, each coupled with a rookie QB on the Monday night stage...I'd say Evans won't be afforded the time to get deep. Defense 101...any NFL QB can pick apart any NFL DEF given the time to do it. That's the big difference in Dallas this year...

Those 16 pts I needed from evans are looking like 40 pts right now...
Same with those 5 PPR points... :
Actually, to be accurate cstu, you only needed 4.4 ppr points to beat me when the game began. After 3 quarters he's managed just 2.2 of that. I can still afford one catch for 11 yards. :lmao:Unbelievable he's not been a bigger part of the offense so many weeks. What is the OC thinking? I know that in this game it's been mostly D/ST scores, but still, there have been 16 completions so far to WRs/TEs and he only has one of them. Makes no sense not to use their best player. I'm glad for it tonight, but I just don't get it.

2nd look Evans gets all game and Edwards throws an int

Safe to say Edwards isn't comfortable throwing to Evans

Nice tackle by Evans though

Obviously Edwards isn't capable of getting him the ball. Looks like it is time to stash Lee and wait for the team to grow up around him. He cost me a win tonight.

Same here. I lost by 5 pts and had Evans and Santonio playing. Man , I hate ffl sometimes

It's called getting shut down by an elite CB in Terence Newman. If you didn't see this coming you deserve to lose.Edwards played quite well tonight, but it's obvious that he isn't comfortable throwing the ball down the field much and since that is where Evans picked up many of his points last season A + B = bad situation

Benched Evans weeks 1-3, played him last week, benched him this week. Where's the :patsselfonback: smiley?
So you benched Evans in the first three weeks b/c you knew he'd suck...umm why the hell did you even draft him then?

I was sort of thinking that post seemed fishy too. Evans would have been drafted as his 1st or 2nd WR, with no reason to bench him the first two weeks of the season.

There are bye week fill-in TE's that have done more and been more involved than Evans to this point. You could be starting Royal and doing better.
