Week 5 Venting Thread (1 Viewer)

Marshawn Lynch is NOT a stud; 2 weeks in a row w/ crappy production.

Mike Martz: Get the damn ball to Gore

Brandon Marshall....WTF???

I read a lot of info about how Philly shuts down Moss but I just couldnt bench him. I had Roddy White on the bench behind Santana in two leagues.

LT2 :lmao:

McNabb :X

Calvin :X

Bowe :X

Burress out unnecessarily

Carlson :X

On paper I should be dominating (besides Carlson). Why don't we play on paper? :X :X :X

I was scared to start Rodgers. Started Schaub in his place. Found out Schaub was out 20 min. before kickoff. Dropped him and picked up/started Kitna. Would have beat the no. 1 team if I started Rodgers.

::sigh::

Im now 1-4 with this 5 keeper:

PManning/Rivers

ADP

Grant/Graham

Wayne

SSmith/Bowe

Gonzo

Prater

just shoot me

Matched up against the only 0-4 team in a 10 team league, and going into this game was the top scoring team by about 125 points. So of course, this week ...

Jon Kitna = 4.8 :pickle:

Brandon Marshall = 5.5

Calvin Johnson = 3.6 :bag:

Santana Moss = 0.0 :bag: :bag:

Yeah, I saw that coming all right. :excited:

These rankings are driving me up a F#@$ing wall...

My choice at QB JTO (#9) or Big Ben (#18), I go by the cheatsheet and a little temperament with Ben due to injury and he goes off.

I start the Steelers D (#3) over the Jags (#16), should've started the Jags D

I have MBIII, Matt Forte and Reggie Bush for RB/Flex, Forte was projected as the #1 RB he did alright and MB3 didn't do squat. Edge rode the pine and wouldof been a better start than the 2nd ranked MB3.

Brandon Marshall and Reggie Wayne for WR, Marshall projected as #1 and Wayne #4 big disappointment.

I start Vinatieri over Carney.. my bad there

With the projections I should have DOMINATED my matchup this week.. instead I'm down 18pts with Reggie as my only hope. :goodposting:

So far I'm losing and have more points sitting on my bench...

I know.. WAAAAA but sometimes these projections/rankings etc seem like a complete shot in the dark.

How do you guys use the projections?

I go 100% by the FBG projections every week. I usually play in 2 leagues during the year, redraft, for the past 7 years now. I have been a member each year here at FBG and of the 14 outcomes, I have come away with 11 championships. If you go FBG 100% of the time you will win your league 75% of the time. Can't go wrong there.

I have done pretty well since using FBG actually, this week was just painful though.

You could always figure it out for yourself. The match-ups aren't rocket science and you could always go from the gut and take a chance now and then. That way you could actually end up patting yourself on the back instead of someone else....or end up kicking yourself in the butt instead of someone else.

This just in: the games are played after the cheatsheets are released.

Welcome to fantasy football.

I have through 5 games now given up 100 points more than any other team in the league. I have played the high scorer of the week 4 times. I am loving this season so far.

Cuter, Lynch, Grant, R. Moss, Brandon Marshall, TJ Housh and Braylon Edwards are all on my roster.

175 points in FBG Competition (220 last week)

plus Colston is finally coming back which would of made my team all the stronger

Of course, I was eliminated in W3

aargh

I go with the rankings only when my gut says it's too close to call and "experts" all over the place disagree completely (which happens a lot).I am a little irked at the rankings this week, as I went with the projections of Kevin Boss as the #8 TE play this week (covering for Winslow's bye), and virtually every other TE option I could have added scored a lot better. *sigh*

#### you ####in ####y :lmao:

You could have went with Rosario like I did.

Rosario and Carlson - o-fer

My opponent had AJ when he finally showed, Deangelo Williams (the same), and Westbrook, who tallied 20 points despite the injury.

I countered with Brian Griese

Benched Rodgers, Jacobs & NYG for Garrard, LJ & BUF. Megatron didn't help much either. I'd be up 30+ instead of down 30+, win wrapped up instead of loss virtually guaranteed.

0-5 with this team:

Brees

Westbrook

Chris Johnson

Steve Smith

Dwayne Bowe

LJ SMITH

Folk

GB D

I HATE FANTASY FOOTBALL

I drop Buckhalter yesterday evening for Washington DEF - they're playing STL next week, and my current defense (Arizona) plays Dallas. Plus, since Buckhalter didn't do anything I figured Westbrook was fine. Read about the broken ribs this morning. I suck.

Benched Minn D for Buff thinking the Bills would be able to get some turnovers off the Human turnover machine Kurt Warner... Pulled Moose out at the last minute for Kevin Walter...... Great calls

I hate this game

101.58 to 101.50, I just lost on that last interception. .08, I knew it was going to happen to.

Did I just take first place in this thread????

Was way behind, mounted a furious comeback with Reggie Bush and the Minn defense. Only to fall 1 point short :goodposting:

Lost again after scoring 2nd highest point of week thanks for last min TD by H. Ward.

Now I am 3-2 instead of 5-0.

Currently I scored 564 while my oppt scored 526 against me.

487 is next highest scored which happen to be team just beat me.

And for next point against total, it is 465 which I scored season high points total.

I will win this thread....

I won a game because Minn picked off that last Brees pass but I lost a game in another league because of that last pass....I had the Minnny D and was going against the Minny D....both games decided by less then a point....in the one I lost I had Longwell and ADP going...I guess I would have gone 1-1 either way

but

this is what seals the deal.....the cutoff in subscriber is 122.20....I scored 122.00

thanks to zeros from V. Davis and J. Carlson with Keller on a bye.....neither of my active TE's could manage even one measley catch for the 1.5 points that would have moved me on with room to spare.....

:goodposting: Sunday morning, while lost in a hypnotic fog of fantasy daydreams (think NFL slow motion film montage with blazing trumpets and wide angle shots of players stampeding across the field) I was certain my visions of fantasy euphoria were only moments from becoming reality... CJ3 shredding the Defensive line, streaking past hapless DBs lumbering to react, then racing 65 yards to the house in a blinding flash that results when a person moves 40 yards in less-than-or-equal-to 4.2 seconds.

I failed to consider the fact that Baltimore hasn't given up a rushing TD in like 20 games when I decided to start CJ3 over B.Jacobs. Shrewd, clever, unorthodox I thought. It turns out being unorthodox actually slows space/time to the point where it took CJ3 almost an entire hour to move 44 yards.

Well, I can say this... FF is a cruel mistress, and she's cruel to in front of your friends, at the bar, with your girl right there, which isn't cool at all. "Bwahahahahaha he benched Jacobs!!!! Bwahaaahaaa!!!!"

Anyone know where I can sign up for Fantasy Badminton?
