***Week 6 Waiver Wire Defense*** (1 Viewer)

I've been picking up the Jaguars to start this week. I know it's playing with fire, but along with the Raiders the Rams are the absolute worst offense in the NFL.

It isn't on your list, but Green Bay was dropped in quite a few leagues because of their bye. They are going to be a good play against Detroit.

First of all, all these defenses are poor this year so choosing according to the viability of the offense and Home/Away game makes the most sense. Out of the teams you mentioned, STL has the worst offense second to only OAK. It's an away game for STL too and I expect Jags to control this game and bounce back big on offense after last week's disappointment. I expect Bulger to throw a lot of picks and perhaps SJax fumbles again.

Picked them up as a bye week filler last week with the thaught that I could start them again this week against St. Louis . -10pts later they are on the waiver wire.

Seahawks != Rams.

The Rams moved the ball pretty well last week vs. the Vikes. barring several redzone fumbles, they would have scored alot of points...or more anyway.

Let me be clear here - I'm not expecting the 85 Bears with the Jags this week. We're talking waiver wire Ds, and in that instance I'll gamble on a team going up against the worst scoring offense in the NFL.

I'm thinking Carolina.

Last week against the 'Skins they allowed a season-low in points (17) and rushing yards (74).

This week they face Josh Johnson who is making his second career start at QB.

Julius Peppers had 2 sacks last week and helped force a safety.

Still.. :bag:

ETA - Johnson is making his 3rd start this week

I have the Colts and the 49ers on bye . . .

I had to pick the Seahawks (vs the Cardinals) . . .

yes, Ari can light it up, but they are on the road in prob the most hostile environment in the NFL . . . SEA got after Garrard last week . . .

I am hoping that the Ari OL breaks down and that a creaky Warner folds under pressure . . .

pray for me . . .

Which D will score the most points this week:Chargers vs. DENRedskins vs KCPanthers @ TBJaguars vs STL
One thing that might be worth considering if you play the WW game with defenses each week is that the Chargers play the Chiefs and Raiders in weeks 7 and 8. Playing them at home vs Denver this week may be just an OK matchup, but it allows you to keep a defense for 3 weeks instead of just one.

:lmao:

question for you guys:

Would you start any of these D's over Denver's Team DEF against SD?

Im lost on D's this week.

I can't decide between the Bengals and Jags. Bengals have been faring well, but seems like they haven played every game extremely close and Houston is pretty explosive.

Houston had a couple of injuries on the o-line this week so could be a few sacks for the bengals.
