Week 7 Pickups (1 Viewer)

I didn't see a thread on this so I am starting one.

I also didn't get to see much action today.

Looking at stats:

Maroney? I saw that Morris was injured... how bad is it?

Lance Moore if he was dropped in your league

Nicks if he was still hanging out there... I started him this week and enjoyed the results

See anyone else that I may have missed?

Ringer and Omon depending how bad Fred Jackson and LenDale White are hurt in a deeper league. Fargas in a smaller league. Vince Young, Todd Collins (maybe), and whoever starts for Detroit again all in deeper leagues.

How bad was Jackson hurt? X Omon?

BJGE aka Law Firm (backup to Maraony)

Todd Collins - Is Campbell in trouble?

Fitzpatrick (Edwards hurt) if you're desperate

Edge and/or Forsett - Julius Jones has sucked for 3 games in a row

Since he was dropped in some leagues guess you got to add Larry Johnson. He showed signes of life with the passing game opening things up. 23-83 and 3 receptions. at the least hes a starter who gets 95% of the carries and gets alot of carries.

RBs are impossible to find this time of year

Andre Caldwell - quietly putting up consistent solid numbers

Mike Wallace - every week Ben looks for him deep

Marc Bulger or Josh Johnson - the former sucked less than expected, the latter is raw but gives you a running threat

Sidney Rice

Lance Moore
Agreed.I don't see S. Rice on too many waivers (I have 6 teams) but Moore is on most.

I'd add:

Maroney -Has shown signs of life even before yesterday; Morris is always getting hurt and hurt badly so don't be surprised if he isn't back any time soon.

BJGE - His action was in garbage time but still stock rises if Morris is out as he climbs the depth chart and Maroney himself is prone to getting nicked up.

Jacoby Jones - FF owners pay attention to Walter but it's been Jacoby who's been scoring, though not getting tons of targets in a prolific Texas passing game. I see him on the WW in all of my leagues but the largest one.

James Jones - Maybe back on the radar in GB; GB has a very pass friendly schedule upcoming but I'd keep him on a watch list rather than pick him up unless really hurting at WR.

J. Finley - Got scooped up in a lot of leagues for week 6 because of byes and match up but if not and your TE is not doing too hot, worth a look.

Fargas - Surpassing M. Bush last couple of weeks; still hard to want to invest in a Raider but if injuries and byes are hitting you hard, could be helpful.

L. Washington - Hit the WW in many because of bye week roster crunches and lackluster numbers; had a strong day yesterday and has a favorable schedule.

Felix Jones - See above, though probably a bit less likely to be on the WW and less the favorable upcoming schedule part.

Anthony Gonzalez - Probably a bit too soon to grab unless your in a very aggressive league or in a very large league with a barren wire.

T. Ginn, Jr. - Also probably hit the wire in droves due to the very limited targets just prior to week 5 but with Henne's arm could be worth rostering.

Mike Bell - May have lingered on the wire again because of injury, uncertain role, and bye week roster issues but seems to have at a role in N.O.

Buckhalter - May have hit the WW because of his injury and bye week crunches.

Crabtree - Was picked up in several of my leagues and I don't think he's worth rostering yet but if you have the space for a flier ...

Keenan Burton is worth consideration in deeper leagues as a bye week PPR fill-in.

He has 5 catches in each of the last 2 games. StL will be playing from behind 95% of the time and the schedule is not bad at all FWIW.

Not a world beater but he may get you 8 points on a bye week in PPR.

Henne could be a servicable QB2 with QB1 upside. MIA has a nice playoff schedule last I checked.

Fargas is the man to get here....playing against a bad SD run D in 2 weeks and a Jets run D next week that got torched by the Fins.

Yep, I think some have forgotten about Henne, who's schedule looks great. I have the pleasure of owning Garrard & Hill. I want him & the Brees owner has him. They have Cooley going on bye soon. Was thinking of offering Heap & Hill, maybe Collie also to get him. I'm bad at trades but I do want him. Giving up Heap would leave me with Finley.

Avery is now hurt...depending how bad it is Burton (or someone else I'm not aware of) may be a great pickup.

The game is actually in London, and the Bucs are terrible at stopping the run. BJGE could be a decent play.

Edit to add: They are also terrible at stopping the pass.

This might be a stretch, but if you are desperate, Hixon is probably available. Apparently Coughlin really likes this guy and someone said that Manningham was hurt.

I didn't see any of the Rams game. Can someone tell me what happened to Avery...I just figured he sucked as usual.(thank God for the early TD)

If F. Jackson is out, I do think that Lynch will get about 90% of the carries.

maybe steve breaston...i heard boldin left early with the game in hand because of an undisclosed ankle injury...if he's out for a week or two, breaston will certanly be a great WR3 given warner's re-emergence.

but is he really available in most leagues?

Maroney is the obvious one.

Hakeem Nicks, Breaston, Justin Forsett, Lance Moore, Justin Fargas, Mike Bell (again), Crabtree

He may be the 'obvious one,' but I bet he's burned more than a few owners in the past few years. There really is no telling what BB will do with his running back rotation.

That is exactly what I am thinking. You could see Sammy Morris return to the top role this week. I think it makes the most sense for NE to have Maroney be the guy since he is younger, but Belichick changes things on a dime (like last week when Morris got barely a touch for no explicit reason). I don't think BGE is worth rostering barring an injury. It will be Morris/Maroney and it looks like Maroney might have the lead after last week, but it wouldn't surprise me to see Morris retake the lead next week. One thing is certain and that is that the NE RBBC is unpredictable.
Didn't Morris have a knee injury on Sunday?
