Week 9 2025 who should I start thread **OFFICIALLY UNOFFICIAL** (31 Viewers)

Weird QB one…I have 2 old guys in dynasty where I must win at 3-5.

Dak vs Ari
Stafford vs. NO

Currently leaning Stafford due to juicier matchup and Nacua back.

Ps. I’m a heavy favorite fwiw
Both great options. Flip a coin or just go with the one you enjoy watching most.

PPR. Pick 2

Warren vs IND
C Brown vs CHI
Monangai @ CIN
IDK if Flacco is out I might bench Brown. If Flacco plays, I'd be tempted to bench Warren because of the matchup. The problem is there is a lot of uncertainty with Monangai and you can be pretty confident that Warren will see 15+ opportunities.

Brown>Warren>Monangai

I am really stuck on this one
FFPC scoring:
Need TWO of the following:
Opinions welcome

X.Worthy @ Buff

D.Samuel vs Sea

W.Robinson vs SF

C.Watson vs Car

I think it has to be Deebo with McLaurin out. Six targets and a couple runs seem like baseline IMO.

After that it gets muddy. I kinda want to say Watson but, that's not based on any logic.

Maybe the KC/BUF game is high scoring?

Yeah, no real idea for your #2. My guy says

Watson>Worthy>Wan'Dale

Agreed. I was going to say Deebo for sure…then Watson next.

Between Aaron Jones and Jordan Mason, which one would you drop - need to add a flex player.
Don't like the idea of dropping either because last week wasn't very illuminating for their usage going forward. They favored Jones in snap count and carries so, I guess Mason is the right drop but, that's a very tough call.

I'll start:

Need one QB
Caleb Williams @ CIN
Sam Darnold @ WAS

PPR looking for a TE:
Schultz v DEN
Pitts @ NE

PPR need two Flex players:
BTJ @ LV
Jameson v MIN
Chuba @ GB
C.Watson v CAR

Currently I have Caleb in because CIN still has a slightly worse pass defense than WAS.

I think I will go with Pitts at TE but a lot depends on the status of lots of guys like Penix, London, Nico & Kirk

I have BTJ and Jameson in as my flex. Chuba has a tough matchup and Rico may see a bigger share this week. Watson showed up strong on Sunday, coming close to a TD too but, I do worry about consistency from the GB passing game.
I think I'd go Caleb if you need ceiling, and Darnold if you need floor.

Think Schultz a little banged up. Bet Pitts does some damage underneath. They'll put Gonzo on London and their run D is pretty tough.

BTJ for sure with Hunter out now and then it's flip a coin on who you think is getting deep...Watson or Jameson. My money is this is a Jameson week after the OC coordinator has said "I've failed him."

League 2 SF & PPR:

Lamar @ MIA
D.Jones @ PIT
Nix @ Hou

I think I have to roll with Lamar but, no idea who to bench between Jones & Nix.

PPR I need 2 Flex spots:
JCM v SEA
Rico @ GB
Rhamondre v ATL
T. Henderson v ATL
BTJ @ LV
Jakobi v JAC
Jameson v MIN

I think I have BTJ as one flex because of matchup, stubbornness and, all the other options have question marks too. I have Rhamondre penciled in as my 2nd flex. He had a down game but still saw a 74% snap share (21% for Henderson) and 16 opportunites (10 for Henderson) and has a nice matchup. Rico seems like a good option if we are to believe Coen's comments but, teams don't run on Green Bay (1st in rush attempts against, 3rd in yards against, 5th in TDs against, 4th in ypc against).

Just a buncha guys I can make arguments for and against.
Would have gone Lamar...which I did in two different leagues.

T. Hendo and BTJ for sure.

Here's a big one:
FFPC scoring:

Need THREE,yes THREE of the following:

A.Jones @ Det

R.Dowdle @ GB

X.Worthy @ Buff

D.Samuel vs Sea

W.Robinson vs SF

C.Watson vs Car
Would definitely go Worthy. Think he'll get a lot of underneath stuff against BUF. Maybe some end arounds.

Deboo with McClaurin out. Somebody has to catch the ball.

Have a feeling Watson gets deep too.

PPR league. Trade question. Simple...who would you rather have now and ROS:

R. Dowdle?

or

T. Tracey?

Been offered Tracy, but leaning staying with Rico or asking for more.

Half PPR, no TE premium

RB (need 2) :

Tyrone Tracy (NYG) vs SF
Aaron Jones (MIN) @ DET
Jordan Mason (MIN) @ DET

TE (need 1) :

George Kittle (SF) @ NYG
Brock Bowers (LV) vs JAX
Oronde Gadsden (LAC) @ TEN

Flex (need 1) :

Any player not selected above or…

Tet McMillan (CAR) @ GB
Courtland Sutton (DEN) @ HOU

Based on last week's snap share and utilization, I think I bench Mason.

Tracy>Jones>Mason
===================

Bowers. Fine matchup and he's healthy.

Bowers>Gadsden>Kittle

It's close but, I have the most faith in Sutton. If I'm looking for splash scores then I might risk it with Worthy.

Main thing I was thinking for flex is whether I play a second TE. Gadsden has been on fire and Kittle is solid, so if I start Bowers at TE I wasn’t sure how much I consider them over Sutton or Worthy even though there’s no premium bonus.

This isn't a question so much as it is a comment on a decision I already made, and which I suspect others may be facing:

With Hurts on bye, I needed a one-week fill-in. Kyler was available with that juicy Cowboys matchup, but at the time waivers were running I was wary because it wasn't totally clear that he would be back, plus he doesn't play until Monday. The news over the past couple days seems to indicate he most likely will start, and he's still out there on my WW, but I'm passing on him in favor of Darnold. For one thing, as we saw with Daniels a couple weeks ago, it is still possible for a QB to underperform against Dallas (yes he got hurt, but he wasn't exactly lighting the world on fire before the injury).

But also, in games Kyler has played this year, he has shown a decent-enough floor with absolutely no ceiling. He's maxed out at 220 yards passing and around 40 rushing, has only thrown for 2 TDs once, and only has one rushing TD. And yet everyone recommending streamers, including the OG LIving the Stream guys, keeps pushing him.

I could be wrong. Lord knows Dallas' D is bad enough to make just about anyone look good. But when it came to my main money league team, I wasn't willing to bet on Kyler and accept that ceiling that even someone as short as him would bang his head on
OK, now I definitely wouldn’t recommend starting Kyler :lmao:

.5 PPR .. I need 2

Bill Croskey-Merrit vs SEA
Trev Hendo vs ATL
“Fun Guy” Monangai @ Cincy

Pick two please, thanks in advance!
Monangai and Henderson.

I, like everyone else, fully expect Vrabel to screw us. But you have to play Henderson this weekend if you've been holding him. JCM isn't giving you much anyways.

.5 PPR - Pick 2

Ashton Jeanty vs JAX
Kyle Monangai @ Bengals
Kareem Hunt @ Bills
I'm very tempted to say Monangai because of matchup and opportunity. But, I also have visions of JCM. It's different when you're the starter.

Hunt has the best TD chance by a good margin but, I have trouble seeing a big yardage game from him.

Jeanty's coming off the bye and will get 20 touches. I'm just not that confident in what to expect from the Raiders.

This is really tough. I think I would go with

Jeanty>Monangai>Hunt

Gadsden is on fire, I just wonder when the Chargers offense will pivot to another pass catcher. QJ & Keenan have also had nice runs with them. I just have trouble seeing Gadsden continue to get 8 targets/game.

But, Gadsden is certainly in the conversation with Sutton & Worthy and he has a much better matchup.

Deebo and then flip a coin between Watson and Worthy. Could really come down to game script and I might lean Worthy simply because Packers should stomp Panthers without needing to throw much.

Deebo->Worthy->Watson->Robinson

ok, just for giggles:
12 team PPR. Need a flex from this group:
1. Addison @ DET (JJM makes it risky)
2. Jamo vs MIN (7th against the pass, and I have ARSB)
3. Knight at Cowboys. (AZ has said he’s going to start, but that it would be a RBBC hot hand rotation)

Presently have Addison in.

PPR. Start 1 for the flex:

Cook vs Chiefs
London @ Patriots
Pickens vs Cardinals

Currently have Cook in there. Am I overthinking how much the Chiefs can shut down opposing RBs?

PPR need a Flex:

Charbs @ Wash
WanDale VS SF
Tough call. But, I lean Charbonet pretty comfortably. I'm more confident in his utilization. He'll probably see 14ish opportunities whereas I'm slightly concerned that Wan'Dale will have a tougher go being the focus of defenses unless, until Tyrone Tracy gives defenses a reason not to.

Charbs>Wan'Dale

For me Bam isn't an option because of the hot hand issue as well as the Cards offense isn't very good.

JAMO!!!!!

McCarthy is a concern but, ultimately Addison is very talented and he's the clear #2 option for Minnesota who, could easily be in a trail game script.

Addison>JAMO!!!>Bam

Full PPR. Nico Collins vs Denver or Chase Brown vs Chicago for my flex? Leaning Nico without Surtain playing but Brown has been much better with Flacco at QB.
